I'm not really that disappointed with Dudley's nerfs. Even though, i feel he was already a balance charater to begin with, but for the record his jet upper cut was never really safe. Also, to take away its juggle potential makes no sense after its power reduction. But, i wont cry over spoiled milk. My main concern now is Jin and Hwoarang. Those bast*** need to be nerfs as well. I look forward to seeing how dudley plays this Tuesday.
Can't say I'm very excited about the changes made to my mains, Guile/Bison.
Guile did get some little buffs despite the health and meter building nerfs.
Bison's EX Scissor Kick now launching seems great but it better be worth it seeing as you need to spend 2 bars to benefit from it.
Anyway, I'm afraid defensive/charging characters are gonna be even worse than they were before. Especially because they don't have high-damaging combos and were relying on the boost combos instead (which is now more punishable on block).
What is their problem? We can't jump anymore! LP, MP, CrHP, Forward LK, back MP, DPs... everyone has an anti air now.
LET US JUMP SAFELY!!!!!! lol
So Sakura's super is one of the most damaging in the game now. Strange.
shouldn't they have increased sakura's cr.hp hit box rather than
reducing her hurt box? its range is so bad compared to sf4...
with everyone getting such viable anti-airs i wonder
how much different everyone's gameplay/style will change~
hope i should be looking forward to this, lol!
@Nukka - Nah Haunts is an offical member of the Capcom team, no rumor
@4, Nukka
Don't listen to Zuuku or whatever his name is; Haunts IS his tag. To Zuuku, he says his friggin name in the beginning of every video! He runs (to my knowledge) IPlayWinner! How do you not know Haunts?? So many facepalms....
I'm dissapointed that Bison's EX Scissor Kicks knocks the opponent behind him, it still a waste of meter.
Jeez Nidel, I don't think you're reading off the page hard enough.
Seems that Christie was absolutely garbage before this. Her and Elena can make me drop those 20 bucks. But I'll wait. Not entirely convinced.
bison's ex scissor kick probably has combo potential in the corner?
without tag cancel that is
@27 Yeah wtf. Heihachi already hit like a train, especially with his stupid hi-low mix ups that are hard to punish when you do manage to block correctly. The last thing he needed was buffs in my opinion. but oh well.
Glad they didn't hit Dudley too hard. None of his changes will affect how I play him really. Just gotta see how my boy Law turns out.
Heihachi's damage game left something to be desired. You heard it here first folks.
@34
LOL, you think he's like a T-Rex?! Have you seen Asuka's light punch? =="
Their normals are nothing in comparison yo!
For sure, I will be picking this game back up. Heihachi has been my main when I do play xTekken every now and then and he's got some decent buffs.
Glad to hear about Heihachi's counter nerfs. Thought Christie deserved more buffs than that. Can't wait for Poison and Nina changes.
@ 37
She did get more buffs, these are just the highlights. I'm also waiting on Poison and Nina, I'm surprised Poison's hasn't already been shown as her changes weren't that significant. At least she mostly only got buffs, though.
#38 thats something I just realized. they should make a bigger effort to show that these video changes are mostly just snippets of the full changes. Capcom is in no position for their idiotic haters and lazy fans to assume these are all the changes and ultimately judge the new game by this alone
Im loving the Sak changes (even though they werent that signifigant).
Her changes combined with Asukas changes are sure to give the team some much needed damage and life.
Too bad Asuka didint get anything to help her get in properly
@ 39
If players want to be more serious about fighters, they need to do themselves a huge favor and learn the FGC lingo and how to read patch notes and combo guides. It makes everything so much clearer and then would be no reliance on videos like this to hold their hand through understanding it. I PROMISE NO CONDESCENDING HERE, it's true advice!
@ 40
Come on man, give the game an actual chance before assuming things. Yeah her jump-ins suck, but anti-airs have been improved across the board so it's not that bad. You'll just have to use her ground based mix ups to get. Use her as anchor and use your point to be the battery and build that precious meter for her.
If you want to play her, you just gotta make it work. If you choose to struggle with a character just because of loyalty then you can only blame yourself, not the game.
They thought Heihachi's damage was weak? You've got to be kidding me...
Anyways Sakura changes look pretty nice. Still dislike SfxT but what the heck ill give it another go.
Can't wait to see you guys online.
Dudley/Sagat BABY!
bison already was awful in this game and they nerfed him into the ground. wonder how bad haunts cringed saying "bison has only become stronger in 2013". gotta get that paper tho
@ 45
Agreed
@ my last post
Ew...errors. I hate posting from my phone.
That Fishermans Slam change 2 Bryan is soooo stupid also those reasons 4 the Dudley damage decrease r too, they sometimes go a bit overboard with these changes
^ its not dumb, its to help improve less time outs which so many
people complain about. learn to use cr. hp if you're still whining
So glad Sakura was buffed. I was afraid she'd get beaten with the nerf bat.
@41 eh... the only thing im complaining about is her lack of good footsies. Yeah her jump ins are bed with forward being her only good move.
and i do use her as the anchor because her tag in combos/damage is incredible, especially now that her anti air command grab is getting a damage boost (especially in the corner now that cr.fierce is cancellable).
And i wasnt blaming anything about the game lol i dont know where you read that in my comment
Can't say I am upset by the heihachi buffs considering I am a heihachi player but he has an over 400 dmg no meter no gems combo off of jump in, so he was definitely not lacking dmg. It is jumping hk, standing hp, cancel medium electric wind god fist, standing hp, cancel medium electric wind god fist, crouching mk, cancel dragon uppercut 2 hits. Overall If i remember correctly it is 412 dmg with only 8 total hits so bringing in your partner can net over 500.
@ 53
Yeah I apologize, should have said Capcom instead of the game. Since you said she didn't get anything to help her get in, which is an issue with the developers I guess. I can't wait to give Asuka another try because playing her was frustrating against a lot of characters.
Sakura & Christie!! ♥
@ Heihachi's "Lacking Damage" ---> -______- GTFOH
Did bison need nerfs? I mean i've seen the changes to ryu who was head and shoulders above everyone in this game, and they don't seem to be that serious....
Guile is the new akuma, what with his insane mixups and mobility.Heihachi had low damage....just like Zero in marvel.
@58 Only the teleport is a nerf and it's somewhat reasonable.
I'm not sure how the lk knee press pushback affects him since I don't play Bison but the change seems very minimal from the video.
The invincibility on his super is actually buffed. Go to training mode and throw fireballs at it, the invincibility right now ends before the first hit. In the vid, he whiffs the first hit and is still able to go through the fireball meaning it can potentially be used to counter fireballs at long range now.
The rest are all buffs. Also for some reason he didn't seem to have gotten the universal chain nerfs which in a sense is sort of a buff.
>I'm not sure how the lk knee press pushback affects him since I don't play Bison but the change seems very minimal from the video.
What really affects him is that lk knee press is -2 on block. In combination with his 4-frame c.lk this move is useless in this game.
If they had nerfed his mk-hk chain, Bison would be absolutely worthless.
I'm very upset, but we will see how Bison plays with the new grabs, as he is a fast character.
The Heihachi change makes sense, without free jump ins, free uppercut escapes and the ability to counter anything always, Heihachi is going to get zoned out pretty gross in 2k13.
Christie though is an ugly hodge podge of changes. I don't even have her, but man should be really worthless for them to just randomly toss around invulnerabilities and giant hit boxes on her moves.
Did they announce Hwoarang's changes yet, or do i still have to wait?
@52 No they didnt release Hwo changes yet, I'm still waiting as well
anyway, Really loving all of the sakura changes! Esp the Super damage buff! Nice!!
Lol @ Heihachi doing no damage... did they ever play their own game lol. At least they tried to fix the counter that just got thrown out at random... Cant wait for the update
I main Heihachi and I had no problems using that counter to my advantage. I would laugh at myself almost shamefully for using it. I'm glad they made it a little bit of a guessing game now. Although, Haunts said that the HK version counters both low/high but slower on startup.
No biggie.
I like the Heihachi changes especially the counter. Everytime I did it it felt scrubby, now there's an element of guessing involved and it will also force the opponent to do what I want then to to avoid the specific counters. But I have to admit, saying he has weak damage is a little farfetched. He can do 432 meterless. And making HK cancellable but reducing its damage actually takes damage away from combos. I honestly don't know what they're thinking by saying Cancellable HK will add damage when you have HP. Frame traps and blockstrings however, hk is gonna be awesome. Chrome dome damage buffs are great too and IMO needed.
Also, saying Heihachi struggles with jump ins is the...wrongest thing I've ever heard. He has so many ways to stop. Playets gotta be a little unorthodox sometimes and stop looking for obvious options. Well I'm not going to complain, I love the new MK :p, it was far more reliable than Tatarigoroshi when I last played a 2013 build.
