Valentine and Cerebella, hell yea. My two favorites from the game
That was actually a nice Set. Although Steer was pretty much screwed if his Filia gets killed. LOL Filia Level 3 actually useful in that situation in the end to avoid chip
Damn you Microsoft! Gimme that Xbox update patch already for goodness sake, I'm sick and tired of waiting.
Man, I love this game. I wish Skullgirls 2 can happen someday with 20+ characters. <3
And by the commentaries you can see why we can't have nice things. A member of the FGC makes a really awesome game and gets support in the first month, then no one remembers of it anymore.
Nice matches, really hoping for an early release of the PC version!
I liked the matches and about the lack of support for the game all that I can say is that Skullgirls got hurt really hard by the lack of spectator mode, delayed patch and small roster.
At this point I suppose that Mike Z is trying to make skullgirls 2 happen and we are never going to see Umbrella or any other DLC characters.
Also blame the top players or important figures of the FGC for the lack of support because other than Chris G no one played this game and I think that even Chris G dropped it.
I know that the patch delay was not fault of Mike Z or his group but still they took way too much time to release the patch and the hype just died.
@16
It's not a bad game, it's a game that has issues but had a lot of potential, so pretty much exactly like the current top fighting games. The difference is that it's taken way too long for those issues to get fixed.
Personally I blame the people that crap all over the game despite the team behind it working quite hard to fix the problems with it even after running into the huge roadblock of XBL's patch rules.
this set was cool. almost makes me wanna learn how to play it i love the combos in it. too bad im really bad at huge combos.
Skullgirls' initial popularity surge was due to it being released right around the time that all of SFxT's flaws, both in game and out, were fully manifesting, and the "anything but Capcom" crowd latched onto it as its rally point. If not for that, I think it's likely Skullgirls would have gotten even less attention than it did. It's just the fate of most fighting games from smaller developers with lesser pedigrees. It's too bad because Skullgirls really is a great concept with a lot of potential.
I'll also add that Skullgirls' character design and art style didn't do it any favors. Unique and interesting for sure, but just a little too far out to be accepted by the mainstream.
Well I was attracted to the game because I liked the graphics, liked the character designs, the music was created by Michiru Yamane who made the music from Castlevania that I have loved all my life and the idea of the custom assist was something that I always wanted in Marvel vs Capcom but Capcom never allowed it.
Probably the "too anime" and "just girls... its arcana heart" mentality is what did not allow the game to succeed.
This set was entertaining. It was so back and forth at first, but after that reset.. kinda went one-sided.
And I don't really keep up with this game much, but is it common to go for so many resets? Or those weren't resets at all? Either way, they were dirty.
