Namco Bandai Games just announced that Tekken Card Tournament will become available soon for tablets, smart phones and browsers. This will be a turn based, card battling game that is cross-platform and free to play.

Using your digital deck of cards, you can battle against your opponents with a 3D model of different Tekken characters such as Kazuya, Paul, Xiaoyu and more. Namco will release a physical card series in the Spring of this year that will allow players to enhance their in game experience.

Below is a list of features for Tekken Card Tournament.

It would be nice to have a proper Tekken game (running 60 frames) on a tablet like the iPad 2. Soul Calibur actually runs well and is playable on the iPad. The same cannot be said for the iPhone version, however.

Since we've already brought up motorcycles I'll just continue on to say this pretty cool. Get a group of friends together and it could be a nice party game.

Welp, I'm sold. Mixing the addictiveness of card games with Tekken? Now it's only a question of how much it's going to cost me.

Cmon Namco, you know Tek 3 will run on last gen iOS hardware...that would be very cool, especially with an online multiplayer feature.

I place Jin top down with a singe-player health buff on top of the Devil Gene card giving access to Devil Gene powers.
I pull out Devil Wings and place on top of Jin giving me the moveset bonus and Devil Jin.
I use the attack "dash 1+4, bf212_bf21d+2_bf214"
My turn is over!

This is cool, and even Project X Zone is coming to the western countries this summer. It would be nice to see more info on Tekken X Street Fighter.
