Chris G is going to be unbeatable when he get's a Vergil and Doom. Right now his team is just Morrigan+2 Assist. Good stuff to Rog too. The answer to Morridoom= Play like a freaking nut and don't stop pressing buttons lol.
YES!!! So glad to see Chris G Lose! I hate seeing that lame crap win over and over. I'll admit he's good, but Its nice to see someone else win For a change!

Congrats to PR Rog for finally winning a major. As a zoner, I love ChrisG and his play, and hopefully his Doom and Vergil will be up to par with his godlike Morrigan in the future.
Man of the hour though has got to be ApologyMan. DAT FRANK!
Congrats to Rog but I can't understand the mentality of hating to see lame lose when let's face it, it was against a lot of buttons and mostly braindead (Wolverine with a beam and Dark Vergil) rushdown. I mean I respect both playstyles but let's not act like one is superior to the other. Different approaches are great and this is definitely a kink in the Morridoom train, but I think it's solid that a different playstyle is viable.
Congrtas to pr rog for winning. Highlight of the tourney for marvel was apology man vs champ lmao that's what he gets for t bagging him before they both made top 16
why the fvck are the archived videos 9 hours LONG! why dont they split them up like before? internet connection in Australia sucks and i cant even get the 480p to load.. THIS IS BULLSH!T1!!!
PR f'in Balrog, that's all I gotta say! My fav pro atm, his demeanor is top notch. But using Fei Long in the top 8 of SF4... points off bro. Forgiven, for now.
Man, I KNEW that the Ft10 exhibition was a bad idea for Chris G. All it did was give some much needed Morrigan match-up experience to PR Rog, allowing him to contemplate and think up new ways to shut Chris G down the next day.
So yeah, good stuff to PR Rog. It's great to see how much work he's been putting into this game, and how it paid off. As for Chris G: I hope that this sends a message that he needs to practice his Vergil and Doom more often.
Shout-outs to ApologyMan and MarlinPie, as well. Their performances were stunning, especially ApologyMan's elimination of FChamp and Marlin's sending Chris G to losers' bracket.
This was a GREAT tournament overall. Say what you want about the stream, the long intermissions, the music, or the interviews - it doesn't matter. The matches were still great.
I think more people were watching the MVC3 part than the others. Of course that's my personal opinion. It goes to show capcom and others that there are many that want and update. Some great matches.
Just wanted to point out that Run it Black used Jinpachi/Jin and not Heihachi/Jin. I can understand how the mistake was made but I figured it should be corrected.
@229 I was there for the whole stream. AE had slightly more viewers than Marvel. AE was pretty much steady at 30k+, reaching as high as 33-34k. Marvel topped out at 30k, and was below 30k for quite a bit.
IIRC viewers dropped to as low as 25k after AE finals concluded.
Marvel can't beat AE when there's an international player like Infiltration around.
Great event, great games. I especially liked some of the new production elements Level Up tried to implement.
Here's a suggestion for them and all other event organizers though: keep the attention off the attention whores. It was kind of funny the first few events people did it, but now it's just a distraction from the games and the commentaries going on there. Of course let people have their signs and costumes, but don't let the ones who are flaunting themselves to the point that they're trying to make the event about themselves rather than the players sit front and center, and definitely don't zoom the camera in on them. Many will probably disagree with me on this, but I think it's a very unprofessional look for the event and the community as well as a distraction for both the players and spectators to cater to these individuals.
"I'm from Europe, and i was waiting for the Marvel. So many of us watching AE cause of Marvel was next. But they put Persona, too. Last one was Marvel.
When Marvel started it was 5:00 am in Europe, everyone gone. Do you know how many people watches Marvel in Europe? If Marvel was first, i would watch it, then leave the stream like thousands of people would do.
Put Marvel and AE in 2 streams, you'll see how Marvel beats AE. Im not saying AE is boring or sh1t, its just not hype anymore."
The crowd cam on the second stream on the last day (mainly for Marvel 3) was a touch of genius- if you synced it up with the commentary stream, you can really feel the level of excitement for the matches.
