The official Persona Europe Facebook page recently posted a status update concerning the Persona 4 Arena release in Europe. It appears that the PlayStation 3 version of the game is ready to be sent over to Sony and the Xbox 360 version's preparation will soon follow. Once these are approved by both companies a release date can be generated. We have now taken delivery of the PS3 EU version of Persona 4 Arena, and we are expecting the Xbox version soon.
Once we have both, the next step will be to submit P4A to Sony and Microsoft. At this stage, we'll be able to estimate a likely release window for you guys - and once it's been approved by both platform holders, we'll be able to give you a realistic street date.
We will, of course, let you know what stage we are in this process so you can have a clearer idea of when the release date is likely to be.
Again, thank you for your patience...

Yeah nice stuff , iam going to buy the dead game 6month after the rest of the world... Or i will juste keep my money for injustice cuz the editor dont treat europe like a crap.
Agree with #2. The hype is completely gone, especially when it doesn't get much attention during major tournaments. I recently picked up BB:CS Extend for a bargain and that should keep me busy along with Marvel and SFxT (2013) until we get a new dominating fighter from Capcom.
Hope Injustice will rise above expectations.
Not dead yet. Dunno why people keep saying that it is..
@Skye - Oh you! ^^
*Sigh*
They'll have to sell it at a significantly reduced price if they want this game to have a fighting chance in Europe. Or at least come up with some kind of deal to sweetener.
This is great news for the eu crowd some of them honestly gave up hope. Maybe gaming as a whole should give these companies a look over since the major console providers have such a hard time with worldwide releases.
I don't understand why this took so long when Europe is getting NO localised or additional content.
We're getting the US game with no changes in an EU box.
WTF Zen United?
Too bad online is dead now. Really good game though.
I'd personally like to thank Sony for being massive a**holes with this game making the only PS3 ever, to be region locked so we in the EU can't important it. Thank you very much Sony.
Thank...you...very...much.
It's not yet "awaiting approval" since they wait for the box version, so the title is a bit misleading EH.
I'll pick up the game, but probably wait till a used version is around. I want it mainly for the story, since it's too late to take it seriously.
This game is pretty bad. I mean the characters are really cool and I like the concept of using personas in a fight, but I just don't consider this to be a good game. It's very casual friendly though, so I guess it has that going for it, but I just don't consider it to have a lot of depth.
If you want to play a good game with similar mechanics it's better to just go with blazblue or guilty gear.
@24
I'll just say this, the plot is very Japanese. They love it to death and love the characters. I completely understand where you are coming from, I don't understand the plot though I can see where it is going.
We (Americans in general)see a very Animeesque RPG when we play the game, they see the next best thing since Oxygen.
We see the next best thing since Oxygen when playing Halo or COD, they see "Big Dumb Western Shooter #832847"
The online isn't as active any more but tournaments generally still have decent amounts of players. And the people you can find online are usually really skilled to practice against.
I've been waiting for this for ages. But if they think of charging full price for a 6 month old game then screw it.
A group of my friends are getting it and I'm sure we'll play our money's worth out of it. Hopefully online isn't completely dead by the time we get it.
@20: You serious? Europe is like the majority of the western anime community. In fact that makes me wonder even more why Atlus doesn't care about us.
Lulz love when people preemptively declare a game "dead" when its not
About the Persona Story Mode. It was mainly for the Persona 3/4 fans from the rpg. If you don't like it there is an arcade mode with more fights if you can't stand Visual Novels or don't care about the Persona Lore
Lol @revolvingsun how about instead of meatriding Tokido, you actually learn to play the game before talking trash. Otherwise put a sock in it. I can see why The SfxT fans on EH find you annoying. Stay free:D
Why enjoy a game when you can suck Tokido's dick like revolvingsun?
Much too late, personally. My hype has dried up no matter how I tried to keep myself up to date and interested with the game. I honestly thought they should just cancel the EU release and call it a day. European Persona RPG fans must have watched YT playthroughs of the story by this point.
@42 It was Index Corp/Atlus Japan that screwed you ever.
@34 Are you retarded?
The best reasons you can give that the game is bad is because Tokido says it's not for him and that it has been awarded fighting game of the year from various publications? Oh and auto-combos aren't even comparable to Sako's high damage and optimized combos or a threat unless you're a total scrub.
You are so damn moronic. Seriously...your stupidity is killing many brain cells of anyone who reads your crock.
@23 Dont blame sony or microsoft instead blame P4's publisher who decided to region lock the game. This is the same issue i believe they had with blazblue and the publishers for the arc system works games need to just show europe more love.
Persona 4 Arena's story mode is awesome. But i would rather have Persona 5 for ps3/x360
It'd be nice if Atlus gave Europe an olive branch, and added a bit of new hidden content for their release to apologize for the massive time it took to localize.
This is what Square Enix does for worldwide releases sometimes, most notably with the Kingdom Hearts series; we get bosses and content that Japan doesn't, and usually this is re-localized back to Japan so they can have that stuff too. It goes even as far back as Final Fantasy 7, which had the Ruby and Emerald weapons added for the (U) release - you guys remember those don't you? ;p
Some kind of secret boss for story mode would be great. Marie from Skullgirls is probably the hardest cpu boss in a fighter from recent memory, and a boss like that would be nifty. Some kind of "ultra" Labrys, perhaps.
Well, they did say European countries would receive a certain bonus or gift for the time they (we) waited. So... I guess they'll at least give us the DLC glasses for free?
Wow , now i can finally play this when it comes out , too bad it's probably dead in other territories which they had it for months now ....
At this rate it's probably gonna be released close to another fighting game ( like Injustice ) and have even less sales.
I'm pretty sure BlazBlue Chrono Phantasm will end up like this too in europe/uk , just like it has for all previous iterations of the series in this territory.
Those who are handling the european release have really let down alot of fans.
