I really like the Paul Sway change, looks really nice and will probably have a lot of potential uses.

Dem Ogre buffs. I think hitbox on his meteor smash has also became bigger.

They made my Zangief worse, hes already a slow character!

And his standing mp is his poke

Its gonna even be harder to get it on the opponent now :(

#5, try to learn buffering. it is better than poking with standing mp.
Since lp-greenhand now is -2 on hit, it can actually be used.

I love these videos, watching the changes in action like this is always really helpful and motivating. This game looks better and better, and I really quite liked it before!

Keep up the good work Combofiend!

So they nerfed high claw to be useless like in the sf4 version, sad, thoguh the neutral jump H.k seems interesting.

I just need to see the changes for yoshi, kuma, blanka and elena.

Waiting for Lili and Poison. Been my main team since the game was still being shown at conventions! <3

So, looks like Paul's been changed from a heavyweight in Tekken to a middleweight in SFXT2013...interesting.

#14
skyrimer said on January 15, 2013 at 12:26 p.m.

They better give Poison a lot of stuff, I can't see her being anything but bottom tier. She is a character designed so much to play ABC combos with her long range moves, but now that's useless, and she's left with incredibly low damage, almost useless overhead, so so rekka, etc.

Are you forgetting that rolls are now throwable on wakeup?
Use your imagination, and think about what that means for Zangief, Hugo, Marduk, and other grapplers.

Im worried about how drastic Hwoarang's changes are. Anybody have any idea whether he was buffed/nerfed/neatured?

#35
KTProsper said on January 15, 2013 at 5:41 p.m.

@34 I like how he acts like the fundamentals in the new patch aren't going to change.. But hey what can you do..

@30 You already have the game..Its not like you have to buy it again..You have an option to try it out again for free and if you get hurt again then remember..

its a game not your girlfriend.

27- It is a very easy game but I have never seen your name when it comes to placing in tournaments =/

Personally I am looking forward to the changes. It is a fun game to play, although I will admit it is not so fun to watch.

#38
soggytoast said on January 15, 2013 at 7:26 p.m.

Holy Crap Gief got hit freaking hard. That's not a nerf bat, that's a nerf machine gun.

#39
DivinePhoenix69 said on January 15, 2013 at 8:13 p.m.

@doopliss hmm interesting..though i admit im not that knowledgable when it comes to frame data but from the looks of it aside from the universal dp nerfs that everyone received he seems to have been slightly buffed. But it sounds like his st.hk and st.hp got its pushback, so that makes it unsafe now right? Thnx for the info though. I honestly dislike SfxT but unlike alot of the haters im more than willing to give the game another shot;).

#40
rkzhao said on January 15, 2013 at 8:47 p.m.

@40
Hwoarang is pretty much getting buffed across the board. The pushback nerf is like the dp nerfs. It's a universal thing to make chains more punishable. So I don't consider those nerfs for specific characters.

#41
Rising_Jaguar said on January 15, 2013 at 9:32 p.m.

eugh, i like how jack's surprise atk got dmg nerfed cause it did
way too much chip damage imo, but changing it from low to high is
uncool :( i never had troubles with it, and it made more sense
'coming from the ground'...>.> surprise atk?~

and abit saddened they took away ogre's high/low play by removing
low hit on 3rd triple kick...gonna have to find another new way of
pressure with him now.

anyway, crazy paul buffs! looks like a totally different character
with all those new combo potentials :)

@ 42 certain charcter can not get past it like big character like Marduck,Geif, and etc it was a good lock down move that do good really good damage.

wonzan said on January 16, 2013 at 7:18 a.m.

vega comboing off the sky high claw?? Useless. They should have just sped up it's animation and increase the damage a bit while also nerfing the block stun. Vega needs an anti air, not combo potential. He is a poking character that needs to keep people out, he's not a combo machine.

Why scarlet terror has reduced damage????????

#47
Chenda_Sheen said on January 16, 2013 at 8:47 a.m.

I'll adapt to Sagats nerfs.

And Vega is top tier hands down.

#48
Evil_Gotenks said on January 16, 2013 at 9:24 a.m.

cos its easier to combo off of now, higher overall dmg

#49
trufenix said on January 16, 2013 at 9:54 a.m.

@46, he already has scarlet terror anti air, and the video highlights buffed damage on air throw, and juggle possibilities off nj. RH. What more could you possibly want?

#50
Doopliss said on January 16, 2013 at 11:35 a.m.

@47: Only MK is reduced, HK is increased.

I can't wait for this update. I really was enjoying the game before those game breaking gems came into play and I just stopped. I am overly impressed with the changes this game is receiving and I can't wait to get back on a rock it.

I play so many characters casually in this game that every one of these videos is exciting to see.
