Street Fighter X Tekken 1.06 PC patch and DLC ready to go, waiting on Microsoft's signed files for Steam

Street Fighter X Tekken 1.06 PC patch and DLC ready to go, waiting on Microsoft's signed files for Steam Users have been asking questions regarding the Street Fighter X Tekken 1.06 patch on PC, specifically when it will become available. Sven addressed this question in the Ask Capcom thread over on Capcom Unity and has shed a bit of light on the current status.

According to Sven, the patch and the DLC are ready for download but Capcom cannot release the update until they can make it available on both Steam and Games for Windows Live simultaneously. Currently, Capcom is waiting on Microsoft to send a couple of signed files for the Steam version which should come in very soon.

Check out what Sven had to say on the matter below.

I just asked Derek for an update and here's what he sent:

The 1.06 PC Patch (and associated DLC) is approved by MSFT and ready to go. However, in order to actually release it, we need to simultaneously release on both GFWL and Steam. And for that, we need the signed .cat and .cfg files from MSFT for the Steam version. They haven’t sent them yet; they tried last week, but there was a "mishap". We should have them any day. That’s the only thing holding up release at this point.

The 1.07 and 1.08 patch source code was just received after the holidays, and Q-LOC is currently working on integrating it. 1.08 is the 2013 rebalance patch, which hasn't made it to consoles quite yet. No ETA on these until after 1.06 is live.

It was leaked not long ago, though. So big deal.

It's been like half a year since the DLC characters dropped onto consoles, and the patch still not out for PC.

The netcode is also still ass and they won't bother fixing it.

What a joke.

@ #6

I agree, but as you said on consoles it's somewhat playable (I own it on both platforms).

On PC though it is just ridiculous, with all the teleporting and sh*t.

The worst thing is that they aren't addressing the issue, and won't be.

@ #7

I cannot play SFxT with the people I flawlessly play SF4 and all the other fighters with.

That is not an issue on people's part, it's the horrible netcode.

Is there an article somewhere that states that Capcom can't fix the netcode for SFxT PC?

Anyway, it could change people. They may find that it can be changed later on. I guess I'm just being optimstic. Capcom has overcome so many problems with their recent titles so far so I'm hopeful. :)

Is there ANY aspect in which GFWL isn't horrible?

Why Capcom continues to use GFWL is beyond me.

@18 They don't. They confirmed that their games on PC in the future will be 100% steamworks.

Remember when Capcom committed to having all the updates and stuff for this game on PC follow two months after the console versions and how that seemed ridiculous? Jesus.

#6 you are crazy. SF4 has for laggy netcode UNLESS you happen to live in SoCal where there is a huge concentration of players within a very small geographical area. For the rest of us the netcode is pretty awful. There is a monster difference between playing online and off where in SFxT there is very little difference. What I can pull off offline in SFxT is what I can do online while in SFIV you have to play almost completely different with different timings.
