Less and less international players every year at SCR...a shame.

Why would Daigo come to this event, no point. He plays better players week in week out (except for Infiltration). Daigo has nothing to prove and it's not a big enough event in his eyes.

I can only ever see Daigo attending Canada Cup and Evo from now on.

I hope the DLC characters for PSASBR come out on the 22nd... only reason I bought the game was to play Kat... at least I waited until the price was down.

Chris G will be there.

@ #10: Daigo hasn't been to Canada Cup for 2 years. Jebailey might be able to have him return at CEO though.

@2

I agree. I think they should have invited some actual SFxT players instead of good players being thrown into a new game. Hopefully Tatsu can represent better than he did at 25th.

Infiltration: EVO Champion
Alex Valle: Cross Assault coach; played the game extensively before its release.
Mike Ross and Combofiend: 4th at EVO
PR Rog and Ricky OrtiZ: 2nd at EVO
Justin Wong: 2nd at Shadowloo Showdown
Tatsunical: 5th at EVO; 25th Anniversary world qualifier(NY)

So who on that list doesn't play SF X T?

@14

All of them but Tatsu, Combofiend and (maybe) Infiltration. The rest of them are 'good players who happen to have played SFxT'. Not 'good SFxT players'. There's a big difference.

Why is is that whenever something cool like this is going on close to where I live I have to be out of the country?

The gods have cursed me!

So let me get this straight: They're not good SF X T players, yet they outperformed everyone else throughout the course of the year? The only person you could legitimately argue to be more deserving is Sethlolol.

@10 are you serious or are you trolling? He's hardly done anything in the US following his blow up at Evo 2011. He has not done Canada Cup the last 2 years either.

In 2010 he attended SCR and Season's Beatings. In 2011 he did not attend either.

@10 & 19

Daigo's currently on an Japan nation wide arcade charity tour, something way more interesting and meaningful than a major.

All the proceeds collected in Daigo "I'm so Hollywood Beast" Umehara tour will go to a charity to help disabled gamers.

Players even professional ones don't exist purely for your entertainment.

Most importantly, Daigo has plenty of stuff that he wants to do in Japan already. Travelling would have taken that away from him.

Marvel wont be hype without chris G, because then everyone will just whine about how Chris G would have won if he was there, and how it means nothing. Which is just....annoying

20 and 21 please reread my post. There difference between "blown" and "blow" I did not say he got "blown up" I said "blow up" as in he expected to win the tournament and that did not happen.
