That's why I prefer ASW games over Capcom's, because they are more exciting and don't have that annoying gamble mecanic. Capcom games are mostly about whoever gets the first hit wins, when in ASW games, whether be Guilty Gear, BlazBlue or Persona 4 Arena, it's not decided by the first hit.

Wow those KOF 13 matches were hype! I gotta go get this game now! I just may have a new favorite fighter! P4A was awesome too. Although the top 8 was flooded with Mitsuru,Chie, and Yu hopefully the diversity in the top will change with time.

@12 Since when is it first hit wins in SF4? You're only speaking about Marvel. SF4 the first hit means nothing unless you have a vortex character and by first hit you mean hard knockdown

Not in America, it's tier whore till death here. Look up japanese players on jourdal's or maybe pktazn's on youtube. You will find more diversity.

You're partially right, but what you also have to realize is that most of what we see from America is Tournament videos, while in Japan it's a lot of arcade gameplay, hence we see more of their good players in more matches, so we get more character diversity from them.

As far as character diversity in America goes, while I can't speak for all of America, at least at Rutgers (where Apex is held), our gaming group has a huge diversity with only one repeat character (Narukami), and we're only really lacking a Teddie. As it happens, only 3 RU players made it out to Apex, and out of them, only 2 (Grover and I) made it to top 8.

I wanna see more Athena in KOF!! I know everyone is viable in KOF, I just don't see a lot of Mai/Athena. :(

Just so you guys know Jourdal isn't SKD, SKD just wanted to rep Jourdal's tag.

The level in KOF is mediocre at best.. I was expecting way more than that.
