With the upcoming release of Street Fighter X Tekken v2013 on January 29th, Maximilian has been putting in a good amount of work getting himself reacquainted with the game and so he did a Week of Street Fighter X Tekken.

He once again takes the game online and does an endless lobby with various fans and even some familiar names such as MetalMusicMan04 and hAZ|Raijin. Hit the jump to see the other parts.

Yeah I can easily get a couple A-Gold crown players in a lobby at almost anytime of the day, and maximillians playing d-c ranks all day.

This would be remotely bearable if Max was actually decent. Watching scrubby play at this stage of the game's lifespan is just not exciting.

Mike Ross & Gootecks were way more fun to watch, but not only was them as a team more exciting, but the two of them just have more charisma in general.

Max should focus on things that he's actually good at. It's sad how everyone praises him and is entertained by this crap.

I used to watch alot of his videos couple years back, but not so much anymore because the quality of his videos is getting worse every month.

Ya know, I haven't actually seen his videos posted on EH in some time. I actually fell way behind as a result :( He does very good work and has a wonderful attitude about him, so I enjoy watching him. I think a number of us have kind of been doing what he's doing here and getting ourselves back into the groove of SFxTK, so it makes for a very relatable set of videos!

@5

Not as sad as people complaining about him. He is doing what he enjoys and is sharing the experience while simultaneously trying to help newcomers, which is so much more that can be said for you or 90% of the "fgc" community for that matter. I'm not even a fan of his work, but the guy is trying and doing at the very least, a decent job.

It's pathetic that someone from the very same community is disrespecting a guy that is promoting the exact community he is apart of.

These videos from Max may help some beginners in some ways. I personally won't get much from them. Im use to Max and in other videos of his I have learned a few things(capcom origins) I personally am not excited by sfxt2013 patch and may not even try it out. (I still have the disc, i don't sell my games) Ironically, I quit playing this when I got the platinum trophy for it, the same day the new characters came out and I have them. I think AE suits me better.

@8 I just don't like how he always avoids playing the good players, but he'll gladly play people that clearly are a lower rank than him. I've seen him purposely avoid playing higher ranked players in almost every game he's done a video on. He only likes playing against people he knows he can beat. In Part 4 of his SFxT vids (or Part 5), he plays a 30000+ BP player and when he loses he leaves the lobby. I will say one thing though, the changelogs for this game plus these videos are really making me regret trading my copy of SFxT last year.

The one thing that's eyebrow-raising in some of his videos is that he's claiming that he's playing people from around the world but in his region setting it's configured to "Same." XD

How will any of these videos remotely help newcomers? There's nothing educational about someone who isn't good at the game himself just playing random matches with other low-lvl players. I doubt that casuals are thinking; "Damn I suck at this game. I should go watch some of Max's vids". These vids are just about Max's journey towards getting back into SFxT. There are way better videos for newcomers to watch for help - actual tutorials.

Am I the only one who fails to see the logic in "training" to play the game to be ready when version 2013 comes out by playing the old version? What´s the point? The new version will have different mechanics and everything.

I don´t care about watching Max play and I don´t want to see any SFxTekken matches unless it´s the build of the game to be released on Jan. 29th.

I'm sorry, but it's not even remotely entertaining to see Maximillian bully 12 years old kids and D rank players. I would never upload myself beating on much lesser skilled players.

I guess it's understandable for him to avoid all the decent players because he doesn't want his fanbase to think he is a fraud. :) But still, he should only upload the most entertaining matches imo. That would at least make the game look good.

tbh nothing can make the game look good whilst gem effects are there. Why on earth did they add the awful character glow it really does ruin the look of the game.

Be far better if just had your gems shown near your super bar and had those flash when in use rather than the character.

In version 2013 they cut down on the glowing a lot, which is a good thing IMO.

The whole gems thing was bad enough but that horrible bright glow on the characters is too much. Makes it feel like your eyes are going to start bleeding. Another reason why I don´t like to watch the current version of SFxT, not to mention that watching matches in the vanilla version is usually so boring.
