@8 i'm not gonna speak for nobody but myself and say that i'm not mad smash is a big part of apex and i have no problem with that i just choose not to watch it

#6 You should look into EV and IV training. They're seriously overrated, and both have a considerate amount of easy shortcuts. The difficult part is finding a balanced team; considering the amount of OU Pokémon.

Bifuteki worked hard this weekend to give you a stream. The quality of the commentary is on the commentators themselves, not bifu. Don't call bifu bad when you don't know how difficult it is to actually stream. If no one was streaming, you would all be complaining. I hate how all non spooky streams get criticized so brutally..

I actually enjoyed watching the USA vs The World thing. I don't really care or know anything about Smash, but that was highly entertaining lol. Especially the final match with the fat kid jumping up and down trying to hype the crowd for his match. BTW, judging by the obvious OPness of that character(Meta Knight) I'm going to assume he's numero uno in the smash tiers?

I think it should be mentioned that the champion Persona player is SuperKawaiiDesu. He entered as Jourdal as a joke hahaha. Everyone is tweeting Jourdal congrats

Okay, so because it's always been a Smash tournament, it's always the main event? I guess no one taught those guys how to hold onto an audience cause there is no way those tournaments had more viewers then SSF4 or Marvel. There's a reason the most popular games are always last... and clearly these guys haven't figured that reason out.

I appreciate the classic smash bros (is: a party game/not a fighter/etc) trolling, but... being serious here: SSBM viewer numbers were greater than UMvC3 today. Viewers were at 13,000+ (Melee) vs 11,000+ (Marvel) for this event; and although I missed SSF4:AEv2012, it was likely lower than both, as it was earlier in the day. Smash was also pulling between 2-4,000+ viewers on each of the two side streams all day, including while Marvel top 8 was running.

I think this shows that Smash could be a legitimate draw for viewers at EVO this year.

@64 This is EVO for Smash and it barely pulled in more viewers than Marvel, which was played through early in the day during the playoffs. I actually enjoyed watching Melee though. It's been years since I played, let alone watched it. But chances of smash drawing in a significant amount of viewers at EVO is slim. Maybe as a side game? But right now, against powerhouses like Marvel,AE and KOF. It's not happening. Even Tekken, SFxT and MK will more than likely pull more viewers.

@60 It's a Smash event, what part of that is hard to comprehend? Smash event=Smash main game=last played. Just like any other tournament that's exclusive to one game but host others. The tournament draws more entrants for Smash than Marvel and AE. Why should they alienate the smash community to satisfy others?

@60 the tournament isnt made for the stream viewers, its made for the players in the event. the actual STREAM BROADCAST however, is made for the stream viewers to watch. its pretty simple really. I dont see why people dont get it.

Im not going to lie, The Grand Finals of Smash Bros Brawl was AMAZING. The last match was so freaking intense and crazy, it was honestly more hype then Sueper SFIV Top 8 at Evo 2012!

dont know why everyone is freaking out about the combo into soul steal, has been around forever. People were just too dumb to use it against phoenix for some reason, because they would just continue their silly fireball game and chip her out instead of actually going for it.

Also people calling it Morrigan spam are ridiculous, Chris G is on a different level in his coverage/movement/spacing/timing with his morrigan, don't see how anyone can ignore that

It was lifted, I think it was because the BBR with the unity ruleset was removed when they disbanded

M2K also used Shiek.

The Melee results are slightly off. Mew2King used primarily Marth and Sheik. I don't think he even used Falco in the tournament at all.

Also, Shroomed (Melee) used Doctor Mario, not Sheik.

AE was disappointing as ****, the Seth player was horrible and random XBL level, didn't even know his character's combos.
