Shazam and Aquaman are a given. Siniestro and Doomsday? I don't think so.

Wouldn't Sinestro be basically a clone of Green Lantern? Doomsday would be an interesting addition but he would mostly be like Solemon and Bane. Aquaman? I can't picture him as a fighter in a fighting game but I might be surprised. Shazam? Mostly likely a reboot of MK Vs DC.

Ok DC fans please explain how is Siniestro different than Green Lantern. I'm not a DC fan but as far as I know they have the same powers just with different colors and that the source of the power is will for green and fear for yellow.

Doomsday was a must in this game and I suppose that Darkseid will be in too.

@11 Green Lantern creates constructs that are more "Earthly" like a giant pan, a helicopter, or a shield. Sinestro's ring is powered by fear, so his constructs are more nightmarish, like demonic faces and creatures.

As for those who think Aquaman is a joke...he was only a "joke" during the early cartoons where he was kind of a goofball. If you remember 70's Batman, he was an absolute joke too, by calling Aquaman a joke character only shows ignorance.

@11 yes Captain Marvel/Shazam is the same character.In the new 52 Captain name has been scraspped so now he's just Shazam.

Aquaman? Eh, don't care. It'll probably happen, since DC will likely want the full New52 JL in the game, but unlike some people, I don't see Aquaman as useless(though I wonder how usefull he could be away from the water...)

Just because 2 characters have the same/similar powers doesn't mean they can't be used differently. As an Imagination Based Superpower, what a Lantern Ring can do depends greatly on its user.

Seriously, what are aquaman's abilities on land besides being extra strong? Aqualoser is a complete waste of a character.

Thanks for the clarification on the differences between Green Lantern and Sinestro. Did not know that aspect of Sinestro. Now it sounds like he could be a useful addition.

Besides super strength...

* In some continuities, Aquaman has some hydrokinesis, being able to form water into constructs--Injustice is it's own continuity, so if they wanted, Aquaman can summon a tsunami or create a bubble of water with a sea creature in it. IF they wanted.

* He'll likely be wielding a trident. Give any character in a fighting game a different weapon and their moveset changes dramatically. Nightwing uses kali sticks for example.

* He's not only able to command sea creatures, but even animals that life partially on land such as Polar Bears, and sea gulls.

I do. it's bland, it's generic it's boring and he's still useless compared to any other hero.

if it weren't for the redesign in the past years, he'd be even more useless. and he'll always have that stigma of being a joke; because he was designed as one.

and Aquaman haves magic and telekinisis power.

The only other major character that's missing is Martian Manhunter. So I'm highly anticipating that.

Actually you're not quite right. In the DC Universe, there are different kinds of energies all based on the light spectrum and each one tied to different emotions. Green is for will, meaning they can shape it's energy in any form they want, but it's weak against the color yellow. Yellow is for fear which causes them to create fearful shapes and it's weak against blue. You also have red, orange, indigo, violet, black and white, but it would be too long to describe them all.

Being on land isn't the point of Aquaman. He's the single defender of the ocean, which is 80% of Earth. Under water he's on par with Superman, he controls an entire army of Atlanteans which can easily bring down the entire Justice League, he can mind control any under water creature (he used to only be able to speak to them, but now they've changed it to mind control). Also unlike the rest of the Justice League, he has and will still use lethal force if he has to.

If he makes the final cut: Aquaman confirmed to be this game's Dan/Hsienko *Kappa*

Anyway I'm just wondering why did they changed him so much in the new 52 where he's basically one of the go-to guys due to his newly installed badassery. If he didn't suck at all, I assume there wouldn't be a need to change his persona just to hype him up and tell the world: "remember guys, aquaman is awesome, it's just you that don't get the character right"

@29 They "hyped him up" because other media (the animated series, for example) didn't do the trick (the one where he cut off his hand to save his child, and replaced it with a hook). His "badassery" is just as newly installed as the changes of many heroes from the Silver Age, Golden Age, etc. Batman was a joke at one point too, getting gritty only recently. Aquaman only got that rep. because of what generally people assume his sole power to be (talking to fishes) and his ridiculous name and outfit.

Honestly, I'd take classic or modern Aquaman over the uptenth Batman character. Would LOVE Doomsday to be in just to reenact the 'Death of Superman'

If they're willing to put consider Shazam I wonder if they're considering Black Adam. I'd like to see that.

Sounds good, though Shazam is rather dull in my opinion but hey I felt the same about Superman for a while before this game was announced and I'm liking what they're doing with him in the new DC comics as a whole so my opinion may change for Shazam as well.

I like that they're bringing in more villains other than the usuals too, with that said, still waiting for Lobo.

I like all these characters, expect for Shazam, because Black Adam is much cooler. I also would prefer Darkseid over Doomsday but prefer Doomsday to both Bane and Grundy.

Also, in the 1st railer, I was "promised" Captain Cold. The Flash-universe needs more love.

So Aquamoron is gonna be yelling at seagulls and polar bears to fight for him, or he's magically gonna summon orbs of water with sea creatures in them. Or he's gonna poke people with a trident. None of this sounds like the making of a legitimate character for this game. Still, if you're hyped for Aquafart then maybe others are too.

captain marvel would be cool but i cant see him being drastically different from superman. doomsday would be awesome though again i dont see him being too different than grundy who, in my personal opinion, doesnt deserve to be in this game.

im trying to like this game because i really liked the old school DC fighter Justice League Task Force but i cringe whenever i think of how many batman characters are in this game. even if you dont count Grundy and Deathstroke that still leaves Batman, Nightwing, Joker, Harley Quinn, Catwoman, and Bane

Doomsday is a must in this game ! LOL at people who compare Doomsday to Grundy, he is nothing like Grundy at all. It would be awesome to see Doomsday as a final boss who evolves during a battle and gets additional moves or health/damage boost.

i said captain atom before but firestorm is also atomic as well like dr manhattan (actually manhattan was based off of the captain. you can never go wrong with putting in the mainmanz too.

calling captain marvel "shazam" was a dumb idea from the start. this would be the capcom equivalent of changing ryu's name to "shoryuken."

also. F**K YES for including Doomsday. one of the few DC characters worth a damn. make him the Haggar or Hulk of Injustice and I'm sold. With Bane and Solomon Grundy already announced, this game might be awesome if they all turn out as brawlers/grapplers.

God yes! Sinestro would satisfy my Green Lantern fanboyism! For those wondering if Sinestro would fight like GL. Sinestro would essentially be the Akuma to GL's Ryu. Sinestro would fight very similar to GL but he would be much more brutal.

I love all these choices but my favorites are Aquaman and Sinestro. Hopefully they have their new 52 looks.

Sinestro is the greatest GL villain and will likely have completely different constructs and moves.

Aquaman doesn't get any respect but is a complete badass in the new 52 and the center of the Justice Leagues current event story arc.

Doomsday is definitely a "boss-only" candidate, as is Darkseid if he gets involved.

Aquaman although a viable candidate for the game, I honestly don't think he's gonna be that good unless he's on a stage with water :P he'll be the hakan of the game. "It's time to get wet!"

I'd actually buy the game for Shazam, it will be a pity if they don't include him.

Sinestro is not necessary, but other 3, Aquaman have super human strenght and can use the trident like in the concept art leak. Shazam and Doomsday would be very welcome, most calls Aquaman.

So there you go some are just for the story.Still I think Captain MArvel is in because he's the only one of the MKvsDC cast that hasnt been announced.Still he MIGHT be replaced by Black Adam.Either way I'm maining any of the two day one and if not then Lex Luthor it is.

I agree with Zukuu. I don't care how many time they redo Aquaman, to be me he will always be a lame hero. Thats just my opinion and I respect if others disagree. Hell Except for Batman and his rogue gallery, Doomsday, GL to some extent, and the Watchmen universe I generally dislike the entirety of the DC universe. Again just my opinion. I hope the game turns out solid for those who do like it though.
