Over on Twitter Ryan "Filipino Champ" Ramirez, has posted his thoughts of the top five players for the Street Fighter 4 series of all time.Top 5 players for SF4 series of all time Daigo, Infiltration , Fuudo , Tokido , Justin Wong or Ricky Ortiz what do you think?
Do you guys agree with his choices? Let us know in the comment section below.
@3 CANNIBAL OX SwiftRage
Daigo, Ifilltration, Fuudo, Gamerbee, Jwong IMHO
Poongko's background is KOF, he didn't start play SF4 till super
What are you people talking about Poongko not being around during vanilla? He won the national Korean SF4 tournament and was flown to America.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K4ZAes...
You guys know this is just FChamp's opinion and not anything set in stone right? Try not to get butthurt about it.
I'd say Jwong, Daigo, Gamerbee, Dieminion, and Idk..Fuudo I guess.
@3
Has anyone told you that you're a dimbo?
Poongko has been beasting it since Vanilla.
FYI, Infiltration only became a "top-class" pro since the release of AE-Ver.2012. Before AE-2012 came out, Infiltration was never considered a top-class pro.
Dylon...Dylon...Dylon, Dylon and Dylon...
And I'm almost positive you guys know why...
Justin and Ricky? Hahahahaha.
That's ridiculous. There are scores of players that are unquestionably better than those two douche-baggots:
Mago
Momochi
Kindevu
Bonchan
Nemo
MDR
Uryo
Kazunoko
Poongko
etc........
Lots of players better than those two douche-baggots, I mean Justin Wong and Ricky Ortiz.
@20 Seems like someone's already butthurt by opinions.
@17 evo 2010 said hello. Infiltration #3. Thats super Sf4. Non AE
Daigo Infiltration Gamerbee Momochi Fuudo
Gamerbee Super to now was a top player anywhere he went. He put americans in their place (Jwong picking Adon now)
Momochi since Vanilla is usually the best at what he does, Akuma, then Ken, then Yun, now Cody.
@#8 ShinzoBishamon
Poongko has been playing SFIV since Vanilla. He was at the GameStop tournament 4 years ago and was using Ryu at the time.
Poongko and Infiltration irrelevant before AE? Lol wtf.
Poongko been beasting since Vanilla with Ryu initially then Seth.
Infiltration always been a solid player and got 3rd in Evo in Super.
This list is basically based on his experience from playing these players. He might not have much sets or none at all to judge the others.
@26
"Stop riding them little di*ks to hard, this list is about who did more in sf4 as a whole. Not by who's this best at the moment.."
OK fine. When it comes to the entirety of the SF4 series, the twin douche-baggots (Justin and Ricky) don't belong up there either. Those two can be replaced with any of the following:
Mago
Sakonoko
Momochi
Kindevu
Bonchan
Nemo
MDR
Uryo
When it comes to the SF4 series as a whole, Justin and Ricky comes no where near the seven players that I just listed.
On a last note, Justin's d-ck is probably just as tiny, or even tinier, than those of the Japanese. Ricky Ortiz has probably lost his (her's) already, using his tournament money for a transgender surgery. HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!
Filipino CHamp doesn't like Poongko. Here's a video of him explaining why
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iu9Fnc...
Hey, I want my next tweet to get an article
So when is the ban hammer coming on fireinthehole dude is hurting bad...
I would add Justin as #5 also he has beaten Sako & Kazunoko so to say better eeh I would take head to head records.
List sounds fair...These are the only players I could think of in terms of consistency in tournament placings.
@33
To set the record straight, Kazunoko has the last laugh on Justin Wong as he beat Justin during their last meeting. But Kazunoko should be out of the question as I removed him from my list of top players for the entire SF4 series.
Justin did beat Sakonoko back during SoCal Regionals which was back in 2010, but what about the other seven players?
Mago
Momochi
Kindevu
Bonchan
Nemo
MDR
Uryo
What, no kaxblastard and darksydephil? /sarcasm
Agree with FChamp when he says
1-Daigo
2-Infiltration
3-Fuudo
4-Tokido
but #5 is definitely Gamerbee, not Justin or Ricky.
Currently
1.Daigo
2.Infiltration
3.Fuudo
4.Kazunoko
I think these 4 are above everyone else
Fuudo is a beast in VF.
F.Champ should just stick with Marvel.
@40: Fuudo was one of the best Ryus in the world in vanilla. In my own opinion only 2nd to Daigo. He even beat Daigo at WGC I think.
For those who don't know. Fuudo actually beat Daigo back in Vanilla or Super (can't exactly remember) in an European tournament.
Fuudo used Ryu back then, so it was a mirror match. AND FUUDO WON!!
Take out Fuudo, put PoongKO n it'll make a little more sense, I mean Fuudos good n all but I mean has he seen PoongKO b4, a lot of ppl didn't even care for Fuudo til he won Evo wit Fei Long
N wat about the "greatest Ken player ever"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Zd7T...
But seriously PoongKO needs 2 b somewhere, take out Wong/Ortiz or Fuudo, doesnt matter jus add PoongKO
Daigo
Infiltration
Fuudo
Top3 for sure.
The last 2 are debatable since most of the top players are so damn close, but I'd put Gammerbee there. Tokido is solid but I dont think he makes top 5 in AE, though he is top in almost every game.
One thing's for sure. The last spot in the top 5 isn't going to an American.
Any best sf4 series players list must start with Infiltration, Daigo and Fuudo or else you don't know SF4 at all.
After that every top player in the world is about the same but if I have to choose, I'lll give it to back-to-back SBO champion, Momochi.
For those who don't know what Infiltration and Fuudo have done outside of Evo.
Infiltration got third at the 2nd SF4 Korean
Nationals, 3rd at Evo 2010 and many other top 8s.
Fuudo won an European SF4 tournament by beating Daigo and had the 2nd highest BP Ryu in SF4 arcade.
1st off....justin and ricky has never ever in their entire lives won a tourney over a bracket full of killers like daigo and infiltration and the rest also, in the entirety of sf4 series i think that sanford should be on there...everyone forgot about him because he's not goin hard anymore but from the moment sf4 came out he was an innovator, he won many many tourneys over the years(just not as recently thats all)and also he was the king of the east coast pretty dominantly so why is he not up there? what has any of those players done in the sf4 series that sanford hasnt done?
Good list by F-Champ I guess, here's my personal top 5.
Infiltration, Daigo, Fuudo, Justin, PR Rog.
Here's the list I would put in top 10, but NOT top 5 (in no order).
Gamerbee, Xian, Tokido, Poongko, Bonchan.
Few honourable mentions in Xiao Hai and SnakeEyez, but gotta see those two in future tournaments to really see if I can put them in my personal top 10.
My top 5 is based on their peak and longevity.
1. Daigo - Top 3 throughout all of SF4. Only player to make top 8 all 4 years. Won an EVO and a lot of other tournaments. The top Arcade player as well.
2. Fuudo - Evo champion, Gods Garden Champion, Topanga league champion. His peak was dominant.
3. Infiltration - He fell off after his 3rd place Evo placing, but his peak throughout 2012 was really really dominant. Won Evo, and SF25th.
5. Mago - His peak from vanilla to super was incredible. The japanese considered him better than Daigo in vanilla and he was the top arcade player in vanilla. In Super, he was dominant in Topanga League with his Fei Long. Generally stayed at the top, but couldn't sustain his top 4 player status.
5. Momochi - Was top 3 player in vanilla and won SBO. Like Mago, he made noise in a lot of tournaments like Shadowloo, GodsGarden, Evo, etc...
5. Kazunoko - Dominant in AE with Yun. Was top arcade player with Daigo in AE, and won SBO, and Canada Cup.
5. Sako - His play in Topanga League and Gods Garden tournaments was incredible. Wasn't great outside of Japan though.
5. Gamerbee - Made noise at many tournaments with the best players, and won a few tournaments. Was very consistent from Super to now.
5. Tokido - no need to explain
I left J Wong out because after Vanilla (who only won american tournaments when it was clear at that point in time Japan was much stronger), was crap. During big tournaments with a lot of international talent, he would always lose) Didn't make top 8 at evo once international talent came. Only won a few tournaments if there was only 2 or 3 international players. Whenever he went to SBO, he was owned. Ricky and Champ were much more impressive. Champ's peak during super was great. So was Rog's and Wolfkrones.
S : Daigo , Infiltration, Fuudo
A+ :Momochi,Kazunoko, Gamerbee, Tokido,Sako,Poonkgo,Uryo, Mago, IYO
A : Jwong,RickyO,RF, Bonchan,Pr rog,Latif,Xian, Xao Hai, Dieminio,Eita,
Nemo,Kindevu, Wolfkrone,Naruo,YHC-Mochi,Michael Tan,6, acqua,

B : Nekojita,Mike Ross,Amiyu, Dashio,Vangief, Zangitan,Dakou,KoK,etc...
@anthonygamer #31
I love that STUPID F.Champ logic
F.Champ:
"I hate you for using Yun wah wah. You iz a fa99ot a$$ ni99a Kazunoko. U iz is a fraud Mago."
F.Champ wins EVO with Dark Phoenix...
I am NOT trying to start anything... but when it comes to top players of "Street Fighter 4 series of all time.", I don't think Infiltration should be included. Yes, I know Infiltration is the best player in the world right now, and he is THE player to beat. He was honestly a 'nobody' until the last EVO. People knew who he was, people knew that he's a good player, but the fact is, nobody would put Infiltration on their list a year ago. I will go as far as to say that not a single soul out there predicted Infiltration would win Evo last year.
Just because he's been doing great in the last half a year, it doesn't make him a top player of "all time". Is he one of the best (if not the best) player out there right now? Yes. Is he one of the "Top SF4 player of all time"? I wouldn't say he is YET..
#59: You still have to give him credit; he was doing relatively well starting 2010, and kept on climbing. His progress really impresses people so I guess that's why he's one of the best all time.
Right now
Well the top 5 is basically infiltration plus the 4 best japanese players.
Infiltration, Daigo, Kazunoko, Fudo and Sako, with no particular order, these five players are all equal and in another league in term of skills, and game plan.
but if considering the beginning of the SF4 series, the top five will be basically composed of only japanese players.
1) INFILTRATION.
That is all that matters.
Korea is winning.
As a testament to all the talk about Infiltration being the best player of AE-2012, here's a video of Infiltration BODYING another opponent:
@59 I agree with you, the points you made are spot on. The list has to have players who have stayed dominant in the game over the years and are STILL dominant in the scene.
Daigo is very obvious
JWong is pretty obvious too
Tokido
Gamerbee
The last spot is between Momochi and Mago
Think about all the tourneys these guys have done well in over the years, and the fact that they're still doing well. Think on a global scale and go all the way back to Vanilla....
Even though some of them might not be as dominant as before, they're all still top class players. Nothing against Infiltration or any other top player that was mentioned. In a strange way though, I do kind of agree with FChamp's list. That just goes to show how hard it is to make such a list.
I don't have anything against Gamerbee, but I don't know why people put him over Infiltration in some of their lists... As far as I know Infiltration's done far better than Gamerbee in most tournaments. I'm not talking them going head to head against each other.
Gamerbee only won one international tournament as far as I remember (2010 Seasons Beatings)
Infiltration won 2012 Seasons Beatings, 3 Dreamhacks, EVO 2012, and Street Fighter 25th.
If you think Justin Wong is an obvious pick, consider this.
When Justin Wong was basically winning every SF tournament in US, he did pretty bad in Japan. In comparison, Kindevu won two SF4 SBO titles and got into Evo top 8 in 2011 which Justin didn't.
@59
To be honest, YOU never heard of him before Evo 2012. Many people already pegged him as a strong candidate to take it all. Many people already noticed him when he was playing Zangief in SF4. But even if you ignore all that, he is too dominant and successful now to not consider as one of the best 10 years from now.
@71
Lol, my bad. I confused the National Tournament with SBO.
Are you guys kidding me?! Sako should be listed somewhere on everyones top 5 or 10 even - IMO. The guy may not be winning tons of tournaments but his game play, footsies, reactions, execution, and combos are godlike! Sako is the guy to study when it comes to those things and is def. listed on my top five.
Justin and Ricky are free, just like the rest of America
When has Justin ever win anything against top foreign players? He is always a tough opponent for anyone but he is nowhere near Daigo, Infiltration, Poongko and Fuudo.
Yearly overview
2009: Year of Daigo (US National Tournament: 1st place, Godsgarden #1: 3rd place, Shiozawa Cup: 1st place, Seasons Beatings 4: 1st place, Evolution 2009: 1st place)
2010: Year of Daigo (World Game Cup 2010: 2nd place, Evolution Asia-Pacific: 1st place, Nagoya Street Battle 15: 2nd place, Evolution 2010: 1st place, Super vs Battle 20-X: 3rd place, Ayano Cup: 1st place, SBO: 2nd place, Nagoya Street Battle 17: 1st place, SoCal Regionals 2010: 2nd place, The Canada Cup: 1st place, NorCal Regionals 8: 4th place)
2011: Year of Fuudo (Evo 2012: 1st place, Godsgarden 4: 1st place, Topanga League: 1st place and pretty much every tournament he entered, he won)
2012: Year of Infiltration (Takes every tournament he entered, except for LG Cup, where he was defeated by Daigo)
So yes, definitely those 3 in the list.
Other then that, I feel like Kazunoko (Inoue) is one of the strongest, if not THE strongest player in the world right now. And knowing that he had the strongest Ken back in the day makes him a legit player for this all time top list.
5th place is irrelevant, because none top these above.
@78
Infiltration did not "take every tournament he entered" in the year 2012. He got bodied by K-Brad (Cammy) in Seasons Beatings and he also got bodied by Kazunoko (Yun) in Canada-2012.
BTW, why isn't anyone else mentioning Kindevu?
Kindevu is a very strong player, on the magnitude of Tokido/Mago/Momochi. Plus, Kindevu has mastered so many characters.
@79 he also got bodied by bonchan in the japan vs korea match , but doesn't mean hes not among the best
Daigo obviously. Infilt since he so dominant rite now. Momochi I can't believe wasn't an obvious choice he was the best at every character he touched. He won gods garden at least once. He was the best akuma ken Cody. He won a major with Cody for goodness sake. Poongko has not been consistent enuff to be top 5. Tokido should be and maybe Wong for his popularity. Gamer bee is great now but he is a recent player n hasn't been around that long. Infilt only got mention cus he has proven himself so strongly
