A lot of different questions have been brewing up over on the Ask Capcom forums on Capcom-Unity. Some questions not necessarily pertaining to fighting games, such as if the Wii U will get any late ports of Capcom games, if Capcom USA can authorize games and more.
Will Wii U get any late ports?
With regard to Wii U, in general we're looking forward, not back so late ports are generally not on the table.
Are you, and Capcom USA, in a position to authorize a Capcom Fighting Evolution 2 or something of the sort?
Two parts there... on our own, we can't authorize anything. Japan must approve everything. Second, I'm not sure that would be a good use of time or resources as a concept.
For the near term our frontline efforts are squarely on the upcoming update for SFxT.
Capcom, PLEASE buy the WWE License!!
This is not something that is likely to happen if I were a betting man.
Svensson makes it pretty clear that we probably won't be seeing any of the past fighting games on the Wii U and that they probably won't buy the license to WWE now that THQ has filed for bankruptcy. Leave your thoughts in the comment section below.
Awww my dreams of Capcom vs. WWE are crushed. I wanted to see Mega Man fight it out with The Rock and Steve Austin so bad.
WWE All-Stars was like a blend of SFIV and arcade wrestling games... I wish they would have made a sequel... :(
Why do people ask the most retarded questions in the world. I mean really...
The only thing I want for the FGC that has to do with wrestling is Jim Ross. I want J.R. to learn fighting games inside and out so he can commentate the hell out of majors. That man knows hype.
Capcom made a wrestling game in the past, so I guess it makes a bit of sense if they would ask about acquiring the WWE license.
>WWE license
But Capcom doesn't care about the Western market or making money.
Jesus Christ. Thank God Capcom isn't screwing with WWE. I can't stand wrestling. Capcom has plenty of fighting game IPs. They need to focus on getting back to making good games and not ones built around mechanics designed solely around the idea of siphoning money from ignorant fans for as little work as possible.
can someone tell me what WWE has to do with anything? im not the type to say "this isnt newsworthy" for everything i know nothing about so i would like to know what im missing here and why its brought up here.
The WWE franchise has its own huge fan base and followers both the show and the games. There is a lot to live up to with that license. It does'nt make sense for Capcom to take that gamble.
Thats like if EA obtained the rights to Street Fighter....No, just....no.
If Capcom got the WWE license, the game could play like this:

I would love to see this brought back.
Ubisoft showed interest in buying THQ and most of its licenses including WWE, maybe thats why Capcom dont wanna buy the WWE license.
About the WiiU, its a shame, i wanted to see AE and UMVC3 WiiU edition, just hope Capcom dont screw the WiiU fighting game lineup with a Smash bros style game.
No dough that they'll make a MM game exclusive to Wii U. Look at the color of the game box. Very appropriate for MM like Master Chief is with Microsoft's green boxes lol.
Also, rumors are spreading that Ono's noticing the partnership with platinum games and (STAY BACK, DON'T QUOTE ME ON THIS.) Have Darkstalkers 4 a Wii U exclusive......sorry Ps3 & 360 users.
Capcom.....Buying the license of WWE.....That is the most mind f^cked thing to ever think about.
oh ok Thanks SFilp. i thought really had no clue what the whole Capcom/WWE thing was about but that makes sense i guess. i dont want it but i see why others are asking for it.
