The most interesting tier list yet...

Looks about right. I would switch Spencer with Viper or put them on the same level. Put Joe, Storm and Cap a bit higher. And Chris should be one level lower. But that's just me. Every thing else looks correct.

Now THIS is a tier list. So what if everyone who's not in the Top 15 is "irrelevant", people still want idea of how other characters fare. For all we know, we could be sleeping on characters like Nemesis or X-23.

Also, should a tier list for this kind of game be determined by how a character does on their own, or with really good assists. I've heard a lot of folks saying Morrigan is not that great without Doom's Hidden Missiles.

East Coast > West Coast in terms of tier lists. I do agree with 97% of this, but PW is worse than Ghost Rider? I don't know about that....

But regardless, good tier list RayRay. Now win a tournament in America ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

this is the most accurate tier list to date. i don't know if vergils the best character in the game just cause he relies so heavily on meter to do damage, but he is up there for sure.

I'm pretty sure anyone would put Vergil on top. His power, speed, Spiral Sword loops and his management in his moves seem to have ways into covering a lot about him by himself. No assists needed.

I agree, but I think Jill should be maybe one or two levels up.

I would like to see kusorus, nemos... tier lists for comparation. That should be interesting...

Basically: From Magneto and Up (Gets in anytime, anyway they want.) Pheonix and Wolvie across. (Great solo mixup game, one touch kill.) From Dante across. (Like the above but need assist.) Hawkeye row (Has tools to win, teams needs to be based on them) Trish row (Gimmicks) She-Hulk row: (Extremely crippled in either mobility or damage) Ghost-Rider row: (Tryhard characters) Wright row: (Why are you playing marvel?, good luck getting in)

Now this is a proper tierlist.

Then Cap and Ryu shouldn't be on that row. Cap is pretty mobile and hits damn hard. Ryu is a solid mid.

I'm not sure Strange should be that low either, but there's no way in hell that Chun-Li should be that high.

And Morrigan is way too high. Without Doom, she isn't half as scary.

Better looking tier list than Champs by far.

Solid list, only thing I'd change is putting Skrull up 1 level.

Again, MvC3 Is too complicated of a game to make these simple rudimentary tier lists. Whoever makes the lists need to give a detailed criteria on how the list is constructed. It seems like these top players take in account certain popular characters with the assists we all see in tournaments, but at the same time seem to not take in the regular low tier characters with the assists they excel with.

I mean look at F Champs horribly constructed list. He couldn't be bothered with over half the characters as its obvious he has done no research with these characters.

X-23 is consistently considered mid-tier. Too bad her combos are hurt by so much scaling... it makes her insanely reset reliant

Doc strange a bit too low, but all in all the best ive seen.

This is one of the worst tier lists I've seen yet. Rocket Raccoon the most well rounded character in the game? In what universe does that make sense? Chris, Chun, and Arthur are well rounded, but Storm, Akuma, Taskmaster are "faulted"? No, just no.

Heres an easy to do thor killing combo that only requires two bars and the combo builds the two bars.

Most likely the best tier list at this time. I'm surprised to see Shuma so high compared to every other list.

And I'm just laughing at those hating Chun-Li's placement. She has so many great tools that nobody realizes.

This is why I dislike that grid to make tier lists sometimes...it makes sense when used properly, but tier lists should just be a bit more straightforward.

People are still doubting Chun Li. That bitch is SERIOUS...wait until people figure out how ridiculous she is, then people gon be crying about her taking out teams in 10 seconds with lvl 3 XFC.

Who considers Trish a gimmick? People may use her like that, or maybe you haven't seen enough of her, but Trish is RAW. She's one of those characters that forces you to play her game. From my experience, at least.

My Tier List, I must admit it was pretty frustrating because there are certain characters I would put in other places for other reasons. So even I am kinda unsatisfied with this list :/

Wesker is still not top tier.

idk why ppl still put morrigan as top 5. She is not top five material. fireball "spam" is good but relies on assists to be effective. She's good but not top 5. IMO

#46 i agree with you, but keep in mind that top players (Escpecially Fchamp and RayRay) have to play Chris G alot, and they often lose. Naturally, they think of Morrigan as top tier.

RayRay probably put Morrigan as top tier since he always gets his ass whooped by Chris G every week.

Too many people think, "easy to play and easy combos = high tier."
thats why they sleep on characters like Chun, Raccoon, X-23 and Shuma.

I like this tier list more than the other recent ones, but i would replace Magneto with Doom, i completely agree with Spencer in top 5.

Well this is certainly better than the last few ones I saw. I can't really comment on who I think should be higher but I think Phoenix Wright should be split into "Bad Luck Phoenix" and "Good Luck Phoenix" because when he does get lucky and grabs three pieces of evidence in a row it's a sight to behold.

Lol at Morrigan being anywhere near top 5. As others already said without missiles she isnt nearly as much of a threat. But i guess top players consider her top 5 when paired up with Doom?(which is probably the case). But yea by herself she's extremely vunerable.

That aside, aside from moving Morrigan down a couple spaces, i pretty much agree with this list for the most part. It seems pretty accurate when looking at high level play. Also to the ones questioning Chunli, trust me she is EXTREMELY slept on by alot of people. I was playing casuals with someone on psn(dont remember his/her name) and there were occasions where his Chun completely decimated my team. Xf3 Chun is scary in the right hands indeed. Jill is another character thats slept on by alot of people.

Other than that and the Morrigan placement, this list is extremely accurate. Chris should be moved down a tier, but yeah. Agreed 95%.

(Wright is still Low Tier, but there really needs to be a separate 'Turnabout Wright' option that people can put him on. Turnabout Wright is easily A tier.)

I'd put Wright Inestigation mode as C tier, Courtroom mode as B tier, and Turnabout mode as A+/S- tier. People underestimate him way too much.

Seeing people put Spencer as high as they do has made me re-evaluate the character on the whole, but I'm pretty sure he's better than Viper. His approach is less risky AND he has more health, plus his damage output is slightly less reliant on meter. Factor in better normals, less expensive get off me moves, I would definitely say he's the more complete package.

Also, command grabs. Specifically an anti-air command grab.

Like many others have said, this is definatly the cleanest and agreeable tier list ive seen, i would probably just put deadpool lower and jill higher. And why is hsien ko so low, alot of people are sleeping on that gold assist, i know it does waste a meter but i think it could b very useful, and it is an anti-happy bday assist. But other than that good stuff rayray!

morrigan is only "top tier" because of Chris G. i think if chris g mained Zero may cry this whole time, he would be dominating even harder than he is with morrigan.

Definitely one of the more "correct" tier lists.

I ranked them by their solo performances and stats.
(damage, health, attack diversity, and ability to get in)
I didn’t include certain things.
(assist, x-factor, and difficulty of use)

I'm going to have to disagree having Phoenix Wright and Hsein Ko that low. Sure they'll never win any tournaments, but excluding them from everyone else is what bugs me. Every character can be amazing in a way. But Hsein Ko and Wright can't be so bad that they are directly in the bottom. I would put them at least under Tron and Nemisis. Otherwise, this is a good tier list.

People sleep on Chun-Li and Chris. I main them and usually do pretty good. Chun-Li is a great rush down character and has tools. She should at least be middle tier. Chris' magnum goes through Morrigan fireballs, does good damage, can zone, has good health. He can hold his own against Dormammu. He should be mid or 1 higher, not lower.

I personally think that top tier means that the character can do well on various situations, have good hypers, have great X Factor, amazing assists and they aren't hard to use. It is really dumb people are sleeping on characters like Chun Li and X 23 even though X 23 has possibly the best dash in the whole game helping her make combos quickly, and Chun has one of the best assists in the game, and can do great combos. Rocket Racoon id really ubderestimated. Having really effective special moves and great hypers too. His level 3 can hit anyone not in the air or with an invincability frame. His Pendelum assist is also one of the best assists in the game. Shuma Gorath is also great because he has a great assist and isn't that hard to use, and his otg hyper is very effective. Spiderman is an easy character to learn and has some good hypers, but sadly doesn't have anything else special about him. This is all really just opinion, but yes, people shouldn't judge characters JUST on if they're easy to use.
