I wish the AE console versions had a list like this. Comprehensive lists including character usage, W/L ratios, etc. should be the norm. Would be great to be able what trends are going on. I'm betting ( hoping?)TTT2 and Cross have something tracking stats like this.
FYI Sagat is on top in part because of Kamui Gakuto, who has suspect of doing some serious boosting. Without him Sagat would be somewhere around 3rd or 4th.
A lot of the Yun player listed as top haven't played the character that much in over a year, when v2012 was released (Daigo, Kindevu, Banbaban), so without those it would be a couple steps below in the list.
It's an interesting list, but it is only a display of japanese player preferences, it doesn't actually says much about the characters themselves.
i find it amazing that ken placed so high. i really never see anyone play him outside of banana ken and dr chaos. good shizz. i know michael tan and momochi play him in japan.
@5 @6 He probably found a way to exploit the BP system, in the end it's just an Arcade game running over Windows XP :)
He has some guy's evil ryu card with decent amount of bp and repetitively battles it with his Sagat whilst letting himself win. That's what I read from xBlackVegetax's comment on Youtube a long time ago anyway.
Apparently he boosts from forum posts on the comments on this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1yf83M...
and this one:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NJ4BF5...
But even after watching the video he stills looks like your generic Sagat and how he should be played(sorta). There's also different factors to consider such as how much time does he put into playing at the arcades compared to other players. Apparently by using two different Arcade ID cards in the machines you could play yourself and gain all that BP.
But then again, who cares about BP/PP?
Very much doubt a single booster could influence average bp to the extent being discussed. One over bp'd sagat tilting a nation's average?

Looking at the overall rankings it doesn't seem too far fetched that Kamui Gackto has 43k BP when Kazunoko has 39k and 6 has 32k? He just plays a lot I guess?

@Exand ive been looking at the rankings since it used to be updated weekly, you need to understand Camui Gackt came out of no where with around 70k BP with a win rate of 96% then in the space of 2 WEEKS he accumulated nearly over 200k BP with a 92% win rate. This is just not possible. And even worse he has added over 150k BP since and his win rate has gone back up to 94%. I don't know what else anyone needs to see. His replays show he is good but no better than any other top sagat
When you say Gakuto Kamui you mean the androgynous rock star?
Isn't Gakuto a very solid Sagat playing at an arcade where almost no strong players play + avoids the few good players?
I do know that the highest win percentages out there are (for people who've played regularly):
Michael Tan (86%, also arcade with few good players), Uryo (82%, coming from about 89%, back in the day) and Amiyu (80%, also coming from about 83%).
Knowing that these are some of the best players in the world, I would be very surprised if anyone legitimately can maintain a 90+%. Certainly with a character like Sagat, exposed to infinite unblockables.
