ToughCookieTV sent us an amazing first to 5 set between MCZ|Daigo and DM|Xian in Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition v2012. The two players last battled it out at the South East Asia Major where Xian took first place over Daigo.

The level of play here is truly remarkable as both players stick to their main characters, Ryu for Daigo and Gen for Xian. Check it out below.

Xian is unquestionably the best Gen right now.

Ok, i can hear Xian pressing the buttons after he hits the DP kick move(sorry i cant remember the name) but i don't hear him hitting any buttons for the hands... is he using a turbo or a technique that i don't know about?

@8 Thanks man. Yeah you could hear most of his inputs, but i just couldn't hear him pressing the punches for hands. Amazing set to watch regardless.

I noticed in the bottom on the beginning of this video the creepy
word "YAOI" which means "Boy's Love"...
In other words XIAN is a bit on the Ricky Ortiz side of things.

Other then that, the set was absolutely mind blowing!
Best fun i had since a long time!

Both players are on another level and thats why SF4 will always be
the King Of Fighters!";)

Xian has to face Amiyu before he can be called best Gen. Amiyu has only been to one major, a STACKED one, Shadoloo Showdown, and got 3rd place ahead of Xian and amazed everyone. Let's not become ignorant and act like he doesn't exist anymore. He simply doesn't have the same opportunity as Xian to attend these International Tournaments

it almost pains me to have to watch this on mute. I've had enough of zhi's immature commentary 2 minutes after i first heard him.

im with @15. I got really irritated by Zhi commentary real quick. Why does he feel he has to commentate on all of Xian matches. I can pretty much tell whats goin on without something explaining the action.

I'm surprised zhi can say anything at all with Xians balls constantly in his mouth.

Zhi's commentary is great, impromptu with plenty of humour.

Great set too, all the way through it was tight...

hope daigo-xian develops into some kind of epic rivalry, because this set (and SEAMajor2012 GF) was amazing
why all the butthurt (no pun intended) with "yaoi" tv, it's part of zhi's weird sense of humor and as i recall, people were joking about zhi and xian doing "yaoi tv" in kuwait's tournament stream chat, it's only pure old-school bromance

As a Gen player I lookup to both Amiyu and Xian (plus a few others). In my opinion not only is Xian the best Gen, he's also a better player than Amiyu. Amiyu plays other characters as well, not only Gen.

Daigo uses a chara with no virtually no gimmicks, which to me is insane that he can keep up with everyone else. Daigo would have probably won first to 10 once he learned how to block the kicks.

Btw, "gimmicks" = changing trajectory in mid-air (divekicks, burn kicks, etc), inconspicuous cross-ups (burn-kicks, Gen kicks, divekicks, etc), or wakeup vortex (ibuki, akuma, etc).

Xian is very well practiced. If they're both going to WCG, I hope they meet on competitive terms.
