90% naked Males in DoA? But i thought game was all about the females right?

Also funny how Hayabusa would still wear a mask despite wearing very little. Trolling those who want classic Unmasked Hayabusa

I would buy it if it was on PC. I think it is fair to have less clothes on man too. That would be sexist if it was not available. And it is optional. It is not like they are forcing you to show that kind of clothes.

Ok... All guys wearing the MMA shorts reminds of TTT2 bland verity of all mens (except few) swimsuit when every guy wore the same color Fundoshi. Heck at least DOA5 has more verity. Not a fan about the MMA shorts, but I'd still buy any DLC costume just to have.

@16 cool, some of them remind me like TTT2 P2 costume.

@9 I know the custom soundtrack is on its way.

Finally a shirtless Bayman like I have always wanted...but such a generic costume just makes it lack the luster I really desired from the sight. Aww no Bayman bulge. I was really hoping that me yelling rape would scare even more people but even that seems less satisfying.

Also no DoA 4 Jan-Lee bulge? How can my friends and I make funny gestures about it now that it is gone?

*sigh* I'm disappointed... Not in this DLC, but from the stupidity of the people who comment here. You can hate something, but you don't need to be a d!ck about it every chance you get.

For instance, a lot of people dislike religious people, because SOME of them shove their opinions down your throat. I bet a majority of you would say that those religious types are annoying, and yet here you guys are doing the exact same sh!t.

Why do you idiots just click on this story to bash it? If you don't like something, move on.

Granted i agree there has been sum pointless and needless things Team Ninja has been doing but im startin to wonder who r the more pathetic losers..... U people who waste ur time to log in and bash DOA and make ridiculous comparisons to TTT2 or Team Ninja for wastin THIER time in creatin usless DLC. Girls in revealing clothing, people complain. Guys in revealing clothing, people complain. Refuse to open your eyes and accept the game, blame what ever you can to find an excuse that will allow you to continue hating on it? fine by me. the same people that bash on smash and say it's not a fighting game, different style or not, it still is.

@35 it's not that Tekken is excused but they aren't all about fanservice so that's not a fair comparison.

@36 who is actually upset that the guys are getting this treatment now? The only thing to look forward to this game is the costumes...and even then they stopped looking cool a good minute ago that includes cheesecake.

@38 sorry but nothjng has been completely out of line...In fact some of the comments here are pretty funny jokes. But if this game ever goes to making bulges jiggle I'm snapping the disc in half. Not everything is rainbow and sunshine.

@39 It's great you can stick with a game that long but let's not confuse fan loyalty with rabid fanboyism. The only ones who continue the comparisons are insecure DoA fans...talking about game speed and of course the better crop of women lol. Please don't start crying wolf until you actually see one.

Thanks ^_^

TrueGamingGuru said on February 20, 2013 at 10:20 a.m.

@43 Well I hear things like what Tekken does people will leave Harada alone, what other games does people make a big deal.

If Tekken make every guy wear the same colored boxers its ok, If DOA make every guy wear the same colored boxers people make a big deal.

This is what I heard of when comes to the FGC is general like saying when Harada talks about why he won't put any character its all fine, when Sven talks about why the character won't be put in any game people will make a big deal about it.

I'm barely making a comparison with fanservice, because fanservice is nothing but a term for Japanese media.

The only reason I bought Tekken up, was the way how they do costumes (even TTT2 customization). People already make a big deal about DOA costumes in general about it being the same outfit or even different color, what TTT2 is no different with the DLC costumes that Tekken gots. Like TTT2 it features that the normal guy (except Tiger) is wearing the same color fundoshi, and when you got fat or old guys they wear this swimsuit (which I don't know what it is) they wear the same special swimsuit. Another thing is the verity costume with TTT2 in general almost every character has the same costume item.

Don't you think what TTT2 did is almost the same what DOA5 is doing.

The only thing that makes it very different is gameplay, TTT2 has customization while DOA5 doesn't. Not trying to compare the two fighter games, the only I talking about is the similar ways.

BoscaBat's avatar
BoscaBat said on February 20, 2013 at 10:45 a.m.

#45 People don't make a big deal about DOA costumes, the people that hate on DOA hate the series anyway and will bitch about anything TN do. And just so you know, the Tekken fans (the people that actually bought and play the game) are very disappointed with the customisation in TTT2 and are not blindly praising it, many agreeing it's worse than 6. So stop with your insecure statements about how people are biased towards Tekken, cause you do this every chance you get.

TrueGamingGuru said on February 20, 2013 at 11:06 a.m.

@46 I'm sure people will just hate to anything. I'm sure the people were disappointed in TTT2 too like me. The biased stuff is something I didn't made up, heck I hear things is that is how certain people is in general. Take a look at some of the comments when Harada hated people like when comes to wanting a certain character. But thats what certain gamers are in general. Besides I only was responding to #26, I don't always make comments like this.

Kenshiro nailed it.

Honestly, I got no major issue with the male costumes. If anything, it helps counter-balance the TONS of revealing female costumes. Not even close to the best panacea, but eh, it's something. Still not buying it though. Better luck with DOA6.

Maybe if they actually went for...you know...costume designs based off of cool concepts instead of "cool angles", then maybe that'd help the game's rep a lil bit. Maybe if the game kind of tried to separate itself from the fan service for a bit, so it could REALLY put the fighting on the fore front, maybe that'd help the game's rep a bit. Still, from previous debates on the topic, I fear that fans are more loyal to the sexual themes and character designs than they are the fighting game, which is a shame imo.

In other words, other fighters got this type of stuff too, but it's in way fewer characters, it's not nearly as extreme, and it doesn't eat up 3/4 of the game's identity. Adding "barely there" costumes to the men doesn't do much to counter against what DOA's already built for itself, but I respect that it tried...something...

#47 Loads of people dislike his way of talking to fans too, myself being one. But all the big name guys get their fair share of love and hate like Ono, Seth, Boon and so on. Itagaki's replacement hasn't really stood out yet. These guys are basically gaming celebs, especially now and one cost of that is defensive fanboys and raging haters (not calling you a hater), so Harada is not a special case. This is well off topic lol.

@ 43

I never said these idiots are out of line. I just said that it's pretty easy to tell when a person is bashing for a legitimate reason or is just bashing for the sake of bashing.

@ 48

In a previous interview, the members at TN discussed trying to put fighting at the fore-front, and tried to tone down the sexual theme. But then they realized, why become something that they are not? Why can't they make a good fighting game (mechanics-wise) and still be true to their franchise (the looks)?

I actually commend them for this. If you strip down the game and only look at it's core mechanics, it's a very deep game. At the highest level, it's very difficult to play.

Kenshiro's avatar
Kenshiro said on February 20, 2013 at 10:15 p.m.

@45 Tag 2 has some of the most mediocre customization options when compared to Tekken 6. They have some "stock" customization options that are available for all genders these are valid complaints that I hear all the time but when compared to other games you have to weigh the fact you have 10 total slots to design your character the way you want. That alone should stop most of the whining.

Fanservice when coined correctly applies aswell as cheesecake. It's not exclusive to a country/nation.

ElHiznahn said on February 21, 2013 at 2:47 p.m.

@53 Yeah even SCV's customization system blows it out of the water.

-clothes float on the characters' bodies and look bulky
-some items are missing/mislabeled (miharu's slit skirt and stockings is actually a jean skirt with boots, and the actual slit skirt item is nowhere to be found)
-not enough personal/exclusive items
-body parts lumped into other categories (can't customize hands)
-navigating menus/characters is SLOW
-P2 colors unavailable
-most accessories are stupid

and others

Harada needs to push out a patch for this crap
