Jaxel expresses his feelings on why tournaments don't run on time and more in episode #2 of the Power Hour

He makes a good point about the whole tardiness of tournaments.

It's extremely frustrating to hear a TO say "TOP PLAYER, 5 MINUTES!" for 30 minutes, only for them to show up, play, win, and leave again, to once again hear "TOP PLAYER 5 minutes" for another 25 minutes. the only reason a playe rshould be late, is playing multiple games. obviously it becomes an issue with players friends lying for them, but the player in question should have to personally notify the TO prior to his games. at NEC, i was running back and forth from vf5 to sfxt constantly. Just to ensure I didnt hold anything up.

I can't stand all these webshows like wakeupsrk/ultrachentv/the fray and this one that are audio based yet fail to have an mp3 version of them. To me, I just think, what's the point? Am I more likely to listen to something while I'm on my daily commute, or am I going to open up a flash video and have it on a hidden tab or something when I'm on my computer?

Seriously. I can't be the only one who thinks mp3 version should be a requirement if what's on video isn't important.

@6 thanks for the info. I didn't know you could do that and I was wondering why the FGC didn't want to release this on MP3. Now I can get this just for the road.

Pretty sure Wakeup SRK used to come in an MP3 format as well but I stopped watching most FGC shows a long time ago so not sure why they stopped it, but seeing how most of the time they are talking about stuff on screen it might be hard for mp3 listeners to follow...

There's someone who creates MP3 versions of these shows. It's also pretty simple to convert a YouTube video to MP3 format.

But in years past where content like this was done primarily for podcasts in MP3 format have progressed into live video and or broadcasted on Twitch, so the demand for MP3s is alot less.

I still would have preferred for shows like WSRK to stay in MP3 because now their live broadcast is on Tuesday night where there's alot of stuff going on such as Jaxel streaming from The Break.

This guy shouldn't be talking about his contracts and getting sponsored by networks and then turn around and ask artists to work for free to help him market his pages.

Jaxel, your end goal is to make $ from webscasting. You get paid to run tournaments. So PAY your artist or designer.

I'm an artist, and my food, heat, mortgage--all from doing art. Most of what you blab about comes from artists at studios. You just stopped me from watching your sh !t ever again. Put the Doritos down and do it yourself, or pay a page designer to spruce up your work.

Jaxel is great.. I dont always agree with him, but I like that he has strong opinions and isn't afraid to put them out there.. EAD #10
