When the DLC characters for Street Fighter X Tekken on the PC, Capcom had a big sale on the DLC that was released. Unfortunately it was only available for users who use Steam, and so many fans have been asking if anything would be offered for Games For Windows Live users.2n2: SFxT PC DLC sale on Steam only?
Can Capcom confirm this?
If so this is very frustrating for those who bought from other outlets and have to use the MS Marketplace. :(
Will anything be offered for those users?
Sven: We are working on getting similar limited pricing on GFWLM but we have not resolve this with Microsoft yet. We are not as "in control" of pricing on Live Marketplace as we are on Steam, and thus the disconnect.
If you are having difficulties with the DLC, please post in the technical support forum or contact our customer support folks.
Even Microsoft doesn't release games on GFWL anymore. The only publishers who seem to use it are Japanese.
Hey, you know what would stop this issue? Stop releasing games on %^&*ing GFWL.
Enough of this nonsense. Capcom should invest in making a Steamworks re-release. Better online, quicker patches, better interface, no region problems, and less piracy. If you support the idea, go post about it at Capcom-Unity as well.
During an earlier Ask Capcom stream, Sven noted that the suggestion is not unreasonable, and that it's something they've brought up before (not hard consideration).
GWFL can go die in a fire. Capcom shouldn't have used it in the first place, and for the love of all things holy don't use it AGAIN in the future.
@zUkUu - "GFWL should just die. Seriously, boycott games that use that service until it has disappeared."
1000% agreed.
Author, fiddly gibbet, but...maybe the headline should be:
Capcom not as much "in control" of pricing on Live Marketplace as Steamworks, knows about the DLC issues for non Steam users

Same here, I don't personally know of anyone who was able to get DLC chars to work. Actually there's people who bought the DLC chars on January 31st (they pretty much came out on the Marketplace by accident on that date) and still cannot use them.
Colors aren't working too, though for some reasons you can get color pack 1 and special color pack 1.
If you feel like helping with the issue guys, drop a message on Capcom Unity here http://www.capcom-unity.com/tech_supp...
Stuff like this is why everyone lets out a collective groan whenever someone announces a pc port will go through GFWL. It baffles me how the Japanese still think anyone over here wants it, I guess their only contact with the western world are Microsoft officials.
Why is it that every time I turn around there's someone complaining about GFWL? Are they really that bad?
moral of the story:
DO NOT EVER GO THROUGH MICROSOFT FOR ANYTHING!
steam all the way! my sfxt with dlc characters was $13 because I bought everything while it was on sale. Unbeatable price even without having 2013 for a full game!
Capcom has no control with the pricing for DLC from the beginning not just Microsoft but also Sony. When comes to online DLC stores only Microsoft & Sony decides on pricing anyway.
It's no surprise really since from the looks of things MS is starting to drop support for GFWL. Hell Halo and possibly 3 will be available on Steam. I'm glad MS has learned their lesson, GFWL is more of a clusterF**k to deal with than anything. Especially if it has Steam AND GFWL.
They make a lot of games anyway, how about making their own network similar to Ubisoft's?
