Cross Counter Live's third episode of season three is on tonight. The stream will once again be hosted over on TheStreamTV and will start here at 9 p.m. PST and 12 a.m. EST.
awesome, since im new to the tekken games, i would love to see how the community in tekken is and compare it to the street fighter community ,since i picked up tekken tag 2 and playing it every day i cant help but feel the tekken community is lacking something, about 90% of my friends or people i just knew picked up tekken tag 2, played it for a week and went back to AE or marvel, it easy to find a marvel, or ae player, but i have to look far and wide for a tekken player, wonder why
Looking in the wrong places. Lol. There's a wide array of players over at tekken zaibatsu. You can find out a lot with forums and what nots.
They should focus the camera on Gootecks' chest and crotch.
@3
tekken zaibatsu is kinda dead. If you want to learn a characters, many of their character forums are virtually useless. Also, tournament numbers for Tag 2 haven't been that impressive.
Really awesome episode. Aris is hilarious. I think I'm gonna pick Skullgirls back up. I miss Ms. Fortune.
today on Cross Counter, we have Aris, to give us a look into the Tekken community, oh wait, nevermind, here is Skull Girls, AE, and Marvel
LMAO this stream was great. Supposed to be a Tekken discussion stream, but instead we get Skullgirls, AE, and Marvel :D
Why is there so much background noise? Isn't this supposed to be a talk show? And I did not see ANY discussing of the Tekken community.
@Aluppoj
I agree, guy is a creep. Not worth inviting.
If any non-fighting-game gamers watched this show they'd be like, "I thought that guy was in jail or something. Wasn't there an article about him somewhere?"
#5 Not in all 3D, In SC you can't button mash very effectively, and in VF mash is a good way to lose the round.
But in Tekken, yeah you can mash starters and 75% combos like if there is no tomorrow.
KassemG (and others) harass chicks in YouTube videos on a weekly basis.. Aris caught flak because he's not a presentable guy and fits a certain stereotype
can we just get over this already? he made a mistake and apologized for it.. it's not like he raped your sister or anyone else for that matter
@25 quit beating a dead horse, that happened a year ago.
29: Accuses peeps of being creeps.
Asks location of people on the net.
GOOD GAMES, BRO!
Seriously, Tekken puts me off because mashing's too dang strong. It's HELLA random, because one initiator from a multitude of initiators can leave you begging for the dirt while 1/2 of your health goes straight down the drain. Either that, or one single blow does 1/3 or higher out of nowhere. It's just so random. I'd rather play SF X TKN. =l
@26 Not that I'm trying to bring up old stuff, but you shouldn't harass or insult women period, no matter how you look or what stereotype you fit. It's completely inexcusable.
#30 You just have to learn Tekken's system. Tekken has a very complex system that many people overlook. Primarily because of little problems like what you just stated. But there is so much depth to Tekken, it's not even funny xD If you take the time to learn Tekken's system, it can be very rewarding. Try going to Avoiding The Puddle and look up the system guides they have there. It gives a pretty detailed walk-through of what Tekken's system has to offer and should shed some light on little problems or qualms you have with the system :) And that goes for everybody. Like I said, Tekken is a game that is hard to understand and is very easily misunderstood. But if you are open minded and you take the time to learn the system, you will see the extreme amount of depth Tekken has to offer.
@32: I know Tekken's complex. Doesn't mean that mashers and brain-dead spammers can't get decently far just by spamming the same block string or throwing out some 50/50 combo starter move out of thin air. It's still random far beyond what one would expect, given Tekken's reputation. It's not a matter of knowing the game or not. It's really just that random and just that rewarding to mash until you have to play smarter at higher levels of play.
Yeah I understand where you're coming from. For me personally, it just takes good movement and a solid defense to completely shut down mashers and spammers. Once you're able to bob and weave around them and punish them for their stupidity, it's a cakewalk xD. But I think once you gain more experience and knowledge, spammers and mashers won't be given a thought :)
@#38
Yeah, he sexually harassed TastySteve's PeaCOCK!
@28 thats some combative, aggressive and downright insulting toward other posters
