It's truly a pleasure watching infiltration play
What is that combo at 0:35?
Seems like Demon Flip, HP cancel Fireball FADC HP Cancel LK Tatsu, EX Dragon Punch?
@6 Just wanted to make sure. Thanks for confirming. Trying to learn that combo.
The standing Roundhouse into the ducking medium is a link I am guessing.
Anyways, some good stuff in that video.
I respect Infiltration's Gouken, Hakan and Ryu but his Akuma .... Meh. Come on a character with one the fastest walk speed of the game + pretty safe moves for getting in + one button Raging Demon (lol) is cheap as hell.
Anyways He is sick. A true Demon.
has infiltration entered a japanese tourny? i feel like hes been avoiding that. id also like to see a tourny where you dont sit next to your opponent and you must pick and stick with your character before the tourny so no counter picking.
Never get tired of watching him play, sick matches.
@9 let me know when you beat him and keep trolling eventhubs. @11 you cant just use Akuma and win no matter how high tier Akuma. Mess up with Akuma just a few times and your done. In my opinion (probably a fact) Infiltration has the best Akuma out there right now. Hes just so good with Akuma that it seems plain cheap.
@12 Why does he need to enter a japanese tournament when hes consistenly beaten the best japanese players. Im pretty damn sure he could just pick Akuma and just tear ish up however its nice to see him man handle people with characters we usually dont see do well in tournaments (Gouken and Hakan).
Besides Daigo himself has even criticized some japanese tournaments in the past because he felt some times the better player doesnt win. why? Because he prefers the best out of 3 or 5 matches instead of some japanese tournaments where if you lose once thats it game over. Besides the best players in the WORLD attend Evo and if you win your pretty damn good.
@17
Thank you. These guys are too dumb for words.
"Uhhhh, then I'd like to see him win standing on one foot."
"Uhhhh, then I'd like to see him win when I pick his character."
Hurrrr Durrrrr please stfu.
He beats the players that the Japanese rank as their Top players. Umehara, Fuudo, Bonchan, etc, etc, etc.
Anyone can pick Akuma. It's a free game. If anyone could beat him with Akuma they would, believe that.
And character locked tournaments are sooooo freaking dumb! It doesn't eliminate counter picking. It just means your one and only pick may have already been counter picked by someone else's main.
But now your screwed because you cannot change. Infiltration has a broad skill set. Let him use it.
@18
You say character locked tourneys are dumb. I'm curious, what makes you think that? Just because someone's main may be a counter pick to someone else's main?
I would think that these tourneys level the playing field for everyone who enters. It's a good way to see if someone has what it takes when they come across different characters. I'm sure top level players, such as Infiltration, Justin Wong, Gamerbee, etc., know their characters match ups. Even their bad match ups. Tourneys like that would make you study and practice that much harder, if you wanna do well of course.
9, 11, and 12 are all still butthurt about their hero Daigo getting bodied twice by Infiltration.
@19
It's never a level playing field and character lock makes it even more luck based due to match ups. No matter how good you are with your character, it will always be easier to win with Fei Long than T. Hawk.
Once a game reach a certain point of maturity counter pick is the only to ensure skill matters more than character.
IMO the best Infiltration demon setup ever was that whiffed sweep he used on Daigo during Evo 2012.
It was an excellent bait against a good player like Daigo. The sweep literally whiffed by pixels, and a counter poke from Ryu wouldn't have worked unless it was done against the recovery frames of that whiffed sweep. The whole setup was dependening on Daigo being able to punish his sweep.
Against a lesser player, it could easily have ended up being a random demon that would've been promptly punished with a jump back combo.
Proof that it really takes two to tango. Infiltration wasn't just playing autopilot. That setup took his opponent well into account; it shows how much he respects Daigo, and outsmarts him at the same time.
