In a move that was anticipated yet still came as a surprise, developers of Fighting is Magic received a C&D from Hasbro, the owners of the My Little Pony franchise. This cease and desist effectively halts all work on the fighting game that was to have a booth at the indie showcase at EVO 2013.Hello, everyone.
We have what for most will be bad news, for us are terrible news, and for a selected few might actually be good news.
We have received a C&D letter from Hasbro's Legal representatives, asking us to cease game development, remove any materials that might contain My Little Pony characters, names, locations or related elements from the sites we control (Our site, our youtube, our twitch), and "cease any further use of [their] MY LITTLE PONY property".
Options have been considered, lawyers have been contacted, and resources have been (mostly) exhausted.
We have attempted negotiating with Hasbro for the continued use of the property in our non-profit, voluntary project, but so far we haven't received an answer. As such, we're complying with the contents of the C&D letter until we receive answer from their PR and/or Legal departments.
We also want to inform the general public of the final and irrevocable resignation of James Workman (Elosande) from the Mane6 DevTeam, effective February 6, 2013, as well as reminding of the final and irrevocable resignation of Prominence, effective January 30, 2012. The Mane6 DevTeam no longer represents their interest, nor do they represent ours.
We'll keep everyone posted as the situation evolves, but be aware we might not be able to respond to comments and questions due to the delicate nature of the situation.
Thanks for following our project so far.

I've never been a fan of MLP and I'll never watch their little show. But whenever I see this I always wonder how copyright laws can bully themselves into fan completely made, non-profit content.
What, can they also issue a C&D against fanfics too? Then there's all that BS Sega of America did against youtube videos which I still find extremely illegal.
@ Kevin.
I'd re-read you own comment there Kevin before calling anyone a troll/hypocrite.
@SJFox
Yep, it's stupid. Hopefully Hasbro lets them continue making the game and just has them put a disclaimer and a link to Hasbro
IP, patents, and all that other stuff is insane and really needs to be thought over
@98: Oh, now Fighting is Magic is bad because Skullgirls did underperform?
Go back to the skullgirls smart a$$, most of the ones hating on Fighting is Magic hated on Skullgirls as well, for %80 of the FGC, fighting games are only Capcom's and everyone else is a waste of time.
What are you? FGC moral-FAG or something?
I think people should have a right to celebrate what they like and do not like, good and bad things, and whatever else they desire. Yeah, these men worked really hard to make this project...but they were pretty stupid to be doing it in the first place. Hear me out, if you will.
When you think about it, the idea of a My Little Pony fighting game would never have been approved by Hasbro. Beating the hell out of each other is not exactly in the same vein as the cartoon show's concepts of "friendship," "sharing," and any other lesson they decide to teach the show's target audience - which is definitely ages 12 and under. MLP even when I was a kid was a toy and show to sell toys aimed at little girls that had virtually no violent content. Tongue-and-Cheek violence even would be in stark contrast with the message and themes of the franchise. It was only a matter of time before a C&D order was going to be slapped on the project.
It's not like Super Smash Bros. or Playstation All-Stars where it's all the franchises under one developer/publisher - all of which use violence in some fashion within their own games - are beating each other up.
This is just as bad as when Sega pulled the plug on Streets Of Rage Remake after it was released.
I'm sad that they spent so much time on it, but NO. FK THAT. MLP:FIM was a TERRIBLE idea trying to make a shortcut into the big leagues, and bronies are NEVER good publicity. I'm all for being yourself, but come on. There's SOME sort of limitation placed by society that, at times, you should at least CONSIDER. Like, idk...liking a 7 year old girl's show to the point where you obtain a label solely based on that. There's a reason why I see Sonic shirts, Mario shirts, Street Fighter shirts...but not MLP shirts. Not in men's sizes and not sold at any major retailer, anyway.
Bronies, it's a tough topic. You just wanna be normal, and you are. But at the same time, a grown man liking MLP will NEVER be normal, and you guys know this. Conceptually, it could/should be, but in today's society, in practice...no...just no. Now stop guilt-tripping people.
@10 Capcom supported one fan project that was in-line with what those IPs already are. But if the game had the letters "MLG" anywhere near it you can be sure they'd have shut it down, so don't get the idea that Capcom is so free-lovey.
The biggest problem is that they should have finished the game before releasing it. The problem with these non-profit game is that they go around talking about it and putting out builds and in the case on the Chrono Trigger game (which i dont think would have ever been finished) trailers and screenshots. There isnt anything a company can do if the game is already done and out there.
Seriously, if you could be in legal trouble, just FINISH YOUR GAME BEFORE YOU RELEASE IT.
@evilrick
Hey kid go back to whatever school you dropped out of. Reading your past comments was very hard with your 2nd grade grammar. Aren't you the one who said people have a right to their own opinions? Yet you come at me? My point was for someone like you it's gotta be hard to comprehend I get it, is that none of the people claiming to support these games will. You whine about dlc when it was there so people could play the same game if they chose not to purchase the stuff. You are a child and a retarded one at that.
What is your point here? You know why bronies like this? Sorry but ill keep fighting the good fight. The fgc is not people like you. It's people financially supporting the scene, going to events and being transparent about their love for solid fighters. You comment on a game site and claim to be a part if the fgc? Than take it, it's yours I want nothing to do with anything related to ponies and the trash surrounding that whole mess.
Someone said "obviously doesn't get the tongue in cheek nature of the show". Yeah I get it and that's why it's not allowed in front of me or my kids. It's nasty and profound.
Sorry ehubs I expect more than this. Here we are on the brink of finally getting worldwide recognition that the fgc is a strong community with a ton of talented people. So close to seeing what we've all wanted for over 20 years and mlp is not going to help at all. I'm out guess its back to srk.
Man shut the hell up you idiots. You're all self righteous hypocrites with low intelligence. How can you be so hypocritical and say that positive feedback is welcomed but negative criticism isn't? It's not called being heartless, it's called having your own opinion.
If someone wants to hate on the game, let them hate it. As much as you have the right to spread your "love" for this game and disappointment for the project being ceased, people also have the right to spread their "hate" and celebrate it. It works both ways you ignorant morons.
PS. I'm also happy that this POISON isn't being allowed to continue. Good riddance. I will relish in the enjoyment of knowing all you pony loving pedo weirdos are crying tears of despair and agony over this news. It makes me hard just thinking about it.
Good job Hasboro! Now if they saved all those mechanics and make original characters, then I'll consider playing their game. I'll be DAMNED IF I EVER TOUCH A FIGHTING GAME AS GIRLY LOOKING AS THAT!! Geez...what ever happened to the man code?
@108: No, but apparently the fact a fanmade unprofit game is therathened to be sued is now a motiv for celebration around here. Oh, but I'm the brat for expressing my opinion on the matter and on this community. Your comment was kinda contradictory there.
@114: Oh, now you jump onto people for expressing support for some guys who spend time working at a fanmade unprofit game that was going to be free for play? Yeah, now that's the kind of FGC everyone should be proud of. The only retardeds I see here are dudes like you, for proclaiming that men who enjoy a cartoon have a mental illines, for trying to play the moral-fag roll on how we are so hypocrite for not supporting other indie game slike Skullgirsl (which to be fact, some of us actually did) and that eventhubs is doing wrong for the so precious FGC for actually showing support, following and promoting indie games like this one (which I reapeat, is a fanmade, unprofit project that was gonna be free for play).
Yeah, right, good for you. This community is becaoming a great and memorable one because of your hard work, feel proud.
I in fact encourage and congragulate eventhubs for following games like this and not just big license ones. Keep it up devs, this is in fact a good action for the FGC community, if a sane part of it still exists.
it's almost like a divine force or higher power decided to help the fgc out. We're getting there guys, we're getting there :')
@16
Hey,theshredder39, don't pull the Sonic fanbase into this. We don't need you badmouthing us after all those years Sonic Team had us holding out for a half-decent game.
This kind of reminds me of the Streets of Rage Remake incident (
http://kotaku.com/5791059/fan+made-st...). I don't know how much time an energy the MLP devs put into their game prior to releasing it, but the SORR guys worked on this game for about 7 years and had permission from all but one (that mattered) SEGA studios. I would think that if you're going to make a game with licensed characters, advertise it, and then host it at a major event like EVO, that you'd take the time to send out a fair amount of letters, emails, and call a few people.
Why are people rejoicing, because you don't agree with the source material? Are you kidding me?
These guys put months of time and money from their own pockets into a project they expected nothing in return from, simply out of passion, and you hate on them because it happens to be a children's show?
I honestly think they handled the whole thing the best they could, a completely non-profit fan game that seemingly was made with a lot of care to stay true to it's source material.
These comments are certainly telling. :/
I don't like MLP, but I feel pretty bad about them. A lot of serious work went to it and it really showed in the coverage of the game here on this site. I was impressed.
But seriously, Poison? Serves them right? You guys need a life.
My best wishes to the devs. Not like they need it. I'm sure they'll get somewhere.
@116: Oh, so you're telling me, a free unprofit game about ponies is a poison for the game community yet the questionable DLC bussines such as day 1 DLC, locked in disc content, early developement of DLC before game release and unfinished barebones games charge dfull price is not?
Wow, just... wow...
It's a shame for the people who put in the blood sweat and tears to this project, but anyone involved in such a project especially when the owner is a giant like Hasbro must've known this was always going to be a possibility.
It's great fun when corporations surprise everyone, but doesn't happen often enough unfortunately.
#130: The image a game like MLP would bring into the FGC would be a negative one, so yes it would be a poison. Grown men playing and watching pony related games and shows? Think about how that would be seen through the eyes of the average individual before you make a stupid post.
Yeah I'm sure everyone would think that it's perfectly normal being into pony related things. I mean we get enough negative publicity just because we're adults playing VIDEO GAMES. Sure it's more accepted now but about 10 years ago most "normal" people would think you have issues.
You are obviously not my Habibi or else you would know these things.
@133... oh my God... so your only concern is what other things over your hobbies...
Man... I feel bad for you... I relly, really do, concerned only on how you're seen trough the eyes of an avarage indiviidual... that's not a way of rolling in this life man. At least we bronies are far above those ideals by now, don't giving a f#$% of what others may think of us, you'll find is a better way on enjoying your stuff, no matter what it is.
*yawn*
The trolls in here are weak, yet they seem to be getting so much food. Please, everyone, stop arguing with them. If they say something that is stupid and/or disrespectful, they are most likely stupid and/or disrespectful. Or they're using the relative anonymity of the internet to act like an idiot. In any case, stop validating their actions. Please.
#137: Please stop making assumptions. I personally don't give a sh*t how I'm seen through the average individual. I am concerned how a COMMUNITY of people who are trying to turn fighting games into a legitimate way of making a living (esports) and getting positive publicity will be seen through the eyes of the public, because that is a HUGE part of if it will be successful or not.
You see how many connections you aren't making with your brain? You interpret something in a very one-dimensional way, instead of analyzing it from all the possible perspectives. Use your brain man.
Hm... as a brony, myself, this is hard news to take. I liked this game. It truly was an experience to play at EVO 2k12.
While everyone is entitled to their opinion, it isn't fair to just outright say 'good riddance'. Or call it a poison, for that matter.
EventHubs's comment section is below logic and common sense. People are too idiotic to accept other's differences for what they like.
So what. I'm a 17 year old kid who likes a show made by the same genius who made Foster's Home and Powerpuff Girls great.
And you have to be a damned fool or ignorant nutjob to declare that you never watched either of those shows when you were younger.
Liking a show about ponies doesn't make me any less of a human being than someone who doesn't. It is outstanding to see how much hate something that people just don't want to accept because it's part of a ****ing toy line made for little girls back in the 80's.
You guys make me sick. I hate Naruto and it's fans, but I don't go and say 'Good Riddance' to it if something bad happens to them or their fandom.
A lot of work and effort went into this. Even if I weren't a brony, I would still be saddened that their hard work was canned for copyright laws, which are severely outdated and flawed and need a rework.
Why the hell did someone think it was a good idea to post this on EH anyways? You just opened the floodgates for absolutely no reason.
@98 What I meant by the "Westerns are the meaning of unbalancement of human judgement" is that they are too soft, too weak and they show mercy to certain people that within themselves they are the kind of people that are horrible and do terrible stuff to people & animals or even discriminate people based on personilty, or even of what they like.
Heck this discrimination been going on since the native people lost their land, and were treated like slaves which is unforgiviable.
This discrimination will continue on, unless if someone will stand up and rule with an iron fist against the discrimination.
Another thing is the education that a big group of people lack is treating others with equal rights no matter their personality or their disability, even people lack the true maturity, and even the path of life that almost a big group of people need that education forced into their lives.
The part of banning people, is for the sake of the what the FGC really needs to be. Its ok if a person has a dislike to a certain game, but it doesn't give them the right to act like a arrogant, narrowminded child because thats disrespectful and trust me it gets out of hand. If they dislike it they should've ignore it, but thats not the case in general.
Unless if the western countries do something about the problem we are living in right now example "the UK arrest internet trolls".
I keep in mind that the people who live in the western countries are not always like that, but there are things that we need to do something about with alot of problems even if it involves ruling with an iron fist.
i feel bad for the dev team this game looked like it would have been fun i wouldn't take it seriously but it had promise , oh well heres rooting fo the care bears.
@ all the whiteknights
You all are just as stupid as the trolls on this thread. Why the f*** are you wasting your time trying to reason with people that obviously won't listen to reason? When you see a poor, dirty lunatic on the street spouting nonsense, do you stop what you're doing, and get out your car to have a debate with him? No? So why can't you do the same thing on the net?
@144: This is EventHubs. What do you expect?
I am in agreement with 145. This article never should have been posted here. It's making us all look bad, brony or not.
"While everyone is entitled to their opinion, it isn't fair to just outright say 'good riddance'. Or call it a poison, for that matter."
How is it not fair? That's my opinion and I'm entitled to it. What's not fair is you saying that it's not fair for me to have my fair opinion, which I think it's fair. Way to contradict yourself in one paragraph. If everyone is entitled to their own opinion, how exactly is it not fair to say good riddance or call it a poison? Last time I checked that's an opinion that someone is entitled to. Moron alert.
"And you have to be a damned fool or ignorant nutjob to declare that you never watched either of those shows when you were younger."
"EventHubs's comment section is below logic and common sense."
I never watched either of those shows when I was younger. Guess I'm a damned fool/ignorant nutjob. What exactly would that categorize you as? An intellectual genius? Are we in backwards land now where up is down and left is right? For someone who claims eventhubs is below logic and common sense, you're unfortunately not in possession of either of those things yourself.
It is outstanding to see how much hate something that people just don't want to accept because it's part of a ****ing toy line made for little girls back in the 80's."
"I hate Naruto and it's fans"
Hypocrite alert. Hope everyone learned something educational about the MLP fandom from the last few points guys!
@145,146
Actually, out of all the articles that has been posted on EH this is pretty relevant since this WAS a future fighting game... No matter how silly, stupid, or childish it looked... And it isn't like they posted this to start an arguement or to incite rage like they've been doing alot recently. You guys justt need to stop falling for troll bait.
@93
That guy is a retard. He's the same guy trolling on other games he hates and bothers to care that he's a hypocrite. I yet to see intelligence from him, so who cares.
Wait, HASBRO wouldn't be able to take legal action unless the indie developers were making money off of the game (which they weren't); it's a fan-made project that was not infringing on any copyright issues. Not sure why they obliged though it probably boils down to intimidation.
Am not a fan of the series but i love diversity among the fighting game genre; it's a shame that they ceased the project as i would have liked to see the game in action.
@IMainDanHibiki: "Liking a show about ponies doesn't make me any less of a human being than someone who doesn't. It is outstanding to see how much hate something that people just don't want to accept because it's part of a ****ing toy line made for little girls back in the 80's."
I don't dislike the show or game because of its association with an '80s toyline. I dislike it because the My Little Pony fandom in 2013 overwhelmingly consists of autistic furry and adult baby fetishist perverts. It's very telling that you seem shocked so many are against anonymous sex in fursuits, bestiality fetishizing, and the other things that are casually treated as OK by fans of that property, and instead convince yourself that there must be some other reason they don't like it.
@140 If I'm not making enough conections with my brain then you're making way too much ones.
Fighting games will never be conciderated a sport (mental dicipline perhaps, but not a sport). But even if it does, I don't see how a game of fighting ponies could damage that.
Besides, when did a fanbase community ever got fully accepted trough the eyes of public? Otakus did? Comic geeks did? Gammers did? Bronies did? And still, the comminities by themselves managed to create big things, way beyond simple publicity, to full sucsesfull bussines, huge conventions, extensive communities and many more, all this when they were never accepted trough the eyes of general public. Even today there are still people who proclaim otakus are antisocial kids and that gammers suffer from a modern type of addiction.
I'll be honest and say MLP at EVO was about the worst possible outcome for me at the time of the 8th game contest, but It's a bummer they were shut down. If it is indeed the end for the MLP aspect, they should just strip out the pony stuff and continue working on it. No reason to let all of that work go completely to waste.
@158: What you and seemingly most people don't realize is that 90% of the actual brony fandom absolutely hates what you speak about. It's a part of the fandom that every fandom has, and there's not much anyone can do about that.
If you want to run around in a fursuit and do whatever, okay. Just keep that crap away from me, and we're golden.
The notion that bronies are fetishistic child molesters is just so old that I find little point in arguing it. I'm just goin to let you believe what you want to believe. I, myself, hate the fandom, and only call myself a, quote on quote 'Brony' because I like the show. There is a huge amount of stuff in the brony fandom that I wish would be erased from existence. But you shouldn't generalize everything because of a vast minority of a specific thing.
Then again, most of the responses here are trollbait. It's interesting to see how people reply to intentionally misleading posts.
wow what a bunch of JERKS at this site. they clearly worked hard on this and you guys got the nerve to laugh in their face. i don't even want to be apart of such an community anymore.
@lovelessLP i mean how dare they make a fan made game for no profit for the fans. its not like another popular fan made game who violated copyrights like mega-man x street fighter(got the rights after presenting it to capcom) didn't get praise.
a fighting game is a fighting game but if you losers are SOOO insecure about yourself that a kids game frightens you, then GTFO
Lol this comment section is a field day for trolls and hypocrites
In any case, It is still a sad thing that people invested their time to have something like this happen
What if some magnificent Marvel 3 update was planned, but Marvel does not want to work with Capcom anymore for whatever reason which leads to license disputes on future characters?
This comment section looks like something from Kotaku
@164: Every singly human being in existence is hypocritical. Whether they be highly hypocritical like myself or slightly is entirely up to them.
#159: I agree that I make too way many connections. I over-analyze things to an excessive degree. It's a curse I was born with, nothing I can do about it.
Now we're getting somewhere. That post is a HUGE improvement from the last few. I agree with mostly everything you said in that post.
I don't really have anything against this game being made, I was more against it trying to get put into EVO. I think that would have been very counter-productive and would attract negative publicity to the FGC. For an example of what I am talking about, read this article:
http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Hollywoo...
I mean, that article pretty much says it all. It's kind of obvious why I would consider this a poison. This is NOT the type of publicity you want for the FGC.
Sad thing is, if this weren't slapped with the MLP logo and likeness on it, I bet everyone would be disappointed by them being taken down.
Then again, to EventHubs, being a 'True FGC Member' means having to be an ignorant tough-guy.
I find that most everyone here, including myself, has been so immature. It's laughable.
Then again... why was this game even opted to be in EVO? This game being in EVO would have basically made all of the FGC generalized as bronies. And, in turn, face the full flak of everyone that hates said bronies.
It should have stayed a party game. Maybe then this wouldn't have happened.
I can't believe we have comments that boil down to 'you can't defend this game', under the sole notion that it's a My Little Pony game, seriously I haven't seen anyone list any other issue with it other than that. I'm still stunned that 4 of the 5 first comments were unanimously celebrating the fact that a project, that essentially opted the guys behind it to take up skills they had never had any experience with before, was cancelled.
@169 I don't see how you can take serioulsy such article as that, for what I see that's just another white collar smart-a$$ pseudo "analist" talking loads of crap and bull$hit about "manhood" & other nonsense, thinking himself intelligent enough to criminalise an entire community as if he were the new Bill O'Reilly. (Is the guy who wrote it an homofobic too? Beacuse honestly I won't be surprised)
But now, to be fair, seing guys like him writting such stupidity and calling it an "article about modern society" is not a surprise, in fact, I'm going to grab his article and put it alongside the other countless I have about some other prefesional idiots talking the same thing about anime, videogames, movies, cartoons, toys, board games and even social styles of life. And can you tell me what's the conection among all of these guys? That none of them were right and over the years it was proved that they were all wrong in their "prefesaional afirmations". This just reminds me of that guy who was a "respected" phsycologist who proclaimed that the first Doom game was going to turn all kids into phsycopats and serial killers... yeah, he was soooo right...
So, if the afirmations of a dude like that are your major concerns, don't worry, because in the end he'll be prooved just to be a glorified troll. Be sure that a game about fighting ponies won't ruin the FGC you're looking for, better be concerned about the idealists who proclaim fighting games turn people violent and seek to erradicate them.
Thank the fighting gods!
They have made their judgement: first PSAS and now MLP. This is what happens to joke games that try to pass themselves off as serious fighters. Take note; and never upset the gods again.
lol at people not knowing that (to the general populace) we are already in the same league/category as MLP (and pretty much every other sub culture that is considered geeky/nerdy) in the first place. And if you don't think so, go ask any other person who has no idea about the gaming culture. Ask them what do they think of gamers. I am about 100% positive that the more aggressive of that group would call us some of the very same derogatory names that have been thrown at the MLP community. So to those who only wanted to keep MLP out of EVO and the FGC due to the possible backlash and "Bronies" making an appearance at EVO (and or being associated with the FGC), that is laughable and you are too late.
Truth be told, I do think that the reason that some people are elated that MLP was shut down is because of their precious "Manhood". It easy to put that together when you look at all the hate skullgirls got because the entire cast is female (except Samson). But all that aside, I'm glad that the devs went out of their way to make a great game overall. Hopefully they take what they've gathered here and work on something else in the future.
HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAH WAIT WAIT , HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA
@177 There is no such thing as "fighting gods".
There is no judgement against of what you call "joke games", Heck Tekken is a joke themselves because it has animals, or robots fighting in a game. Look not every fighter game is meant to be serious.
Your idea of gods is delusional and does not exist, your no better than the religious or the nazis.
Screw this! I'm a certified Brony and I wanted this game bad. What's wrong with expanding your target audience to include boys and men? It keep true to the show and would allow me to beat up on ponies that I hate. I'm gonna start a petition so these narrow minded boardroom turds know they are missing out on a golden opportunity to make some free cash.
@ 106
You obviously don't watch the show much. They do fight quite a bit actually. Not to mention the target audience are not little girls but grown women who watched the show back in the day. My girlfriend is the one who got me into it because she watched it back then. Watch the show before making assumptions
@93 & @Snipeclips Stay free, stay butthurt, and troll harder. @Hooligan No comment section is complete without your know it all wisdom. You love calling everyone else in the world a hypocrite when in fact you're a huge one yourself. Read 165's comment and stfu. Don't bother responding because I won't be reading it :)
A couple things:
1) Head slaps all-around for thinking that a C&D was NOT eventually coming, and for thinking HASBRO has the same sense of humor that we would. It's not funny to them--they just want to protect the image of their IP as a child-appropriate $$$-machine. Copyright is fair and right in this instance. The creators of an IP should fairly profit from their creation without damages.
2) GIVING UP is also the wrong thing. The game was really close to the protection of "parody" **IF** they just changed what they had a little, and instead of obvious MLP, it was more of a generic cartoon horse (just add horns and change coloring, etc) and they expanded the roster to other fantasy tropes.
@ 182
Any idea of "gods" is delusional, so what's your point? I have the right to dream up fake dieties just like anyone else and my gods hate the ponies. That's right:
God hates ponies.
But more to the point I think that Hasbro is right to put the kibosh to this "Fighting is Magic" nonsense. They don't want their product associate with fighting & violence. I wholeheartedly support them. Warriors with weapons should be smashing each other in the face, not freaking ponies.
@183 Theres nothing wrong with expanding the target audience, the more audience the better that the fighter genre would be popular.
All I can say is good luck with your petition.
Wow people are <expletive deleted> so much disrespect! Mouth breathers and oxygen thieves! I'M MAD BRO.
It would be the same result if instead of MLP there was a Barbie fighter "Brawl for Ken" and it wanted to be taken seriously at evo. A game has to at least be fully developed and have an established following. Like seriously how many people have actually played the game? I think the game got alot of ground because of the surging "brony" trend, but as a actual fighting game, I wouldn't put it over Skullgirls or smash for that matter.
Not getting the liscence to work on copyrighted material? That's just bad business like..... what did you expect to happen? Salvage the engine and make your own IP. If people actually liked the game as a fighting game and not just the Brony trend then they will follow it.
@191 What my point is that there really isn't a joke game. Besides don't you think that expanding audience might be a good thing to the FGC, even its something that even if other people don't like it. Bashing games and making arrogant comments is not the answer, because that would do nothing more is hurt the image of the FGC.
Welcoming more fighters can be pretty important, if you don't like just ignore it and leave the certain topics alone.
Even if you have a right create your own dream, but better to keep it to yourself unless if you want to start a fight with other people.
I'm completely neutral about MLP series or Fighting is Magic, but it sad that I won't be able to see it to fruition. I would like to try it out anyway nonetheless. It's such a years waste of hard work and now it has come to an end. Oh well. Judging from the commentaries, I've seen so many hatred like this. Then again, I kinda knew this whole thing was gonna be a long shot.
CHANGE THE PONIES...TO POKEMON...U'LL HAV MY MONEY, F U HASBRO, mattafact HASBIN, AINT NO BRO OF MINE
Won't bother reading for the main consensus of this news but...
I'll say this, I feel bad for the middle-class white people that looked forward to this. Try picking up a real fightin' game now. #Kappa
But to be real for a bit, this was obviously going to happen, you can't take a company's characters without some legal contract and expect to make it from scratch to finish with no issues.
