Injustice Battle Arena videos and results: Bane vs. Batman, Wonder Woman vs. Harley Quinn

You can see the Arkham characters that were "revealed" yesterday in the match between Wonder Woman and Harley Quinn. Killer Croc, Riddler, Penguin and Two-Face are only part of a stage transition in the Arkham Asylum stage. Pretty cool stuff!

2 1/2 months yo! Stages look great and the gameplay will look much better without the odd camera angles. Can't wait for some Hawkgirl vs Aquaman action.

I'm all for these vids showin off the characters abilities and all that but there's no need to make the match so obviously staged. The whole standing still thing so the other character could get their turn was a mess

It looked fun but their movements lacked a sense of oomph. Especially when Bane is just moving his wrist to slap Batman and Wonder Woman is just swinging her sword with only her arm

This made all the interactive environmental hazards look hype as heck. Can't wait to see what people do with them. Hope to see this be ok for tournaments, they don't look like they well mess things up.

It's unfortunate that they couldn't get these matches to look hype because they kept standing still waiting to get hit with combos. I mean they could have dashed in or tried to throw out a move that has less frame advantage or something!

I do like how it looks like the stage transitions have been sped up. I still hate Batman's Stance, but he looks good in motion.

For the Record I chose Bane and WW to win.

Ikr, she`s damn ugly

It's not meant to be a match between two people. It's just meant to show off some of the character's abilities. Yes, they're staged matches, but for a reason. They wanna show what each character can do before declaring the victor.

those stages where pretty freakin awesome but NR is pretty good at creating stages. the arkham asylum stage was GOD LIKE. i loved the game play with a few minor complaints in animation.

The game is looking great i love the new stages that I seen.

What's with Wonder Woman? Maybe I was hoping for a little more beauty for an Amazon a la Linda Carter. (Yes I'm that old) Wonder Woman doesn't look all that interesting as I'd hope aside from the 2 stances (Lasso Sword and board)

I think most of the fans vote were give. Batman over Bane Wonder Woman over Harley. I agree with above poster Harley looks fun.

Still though the movement seems clunky is most cases I will overlook it though and give this a shot as I love Super hero based fighters not counting MKvsDC.

It seems Capcom and Netherrealm both suffer from first Female Model Syndrome where the first woman character they create must be ugly.

Compare SF4 Chun Li and Injustice Wonder Woman to Cammy and Harley.

camera work is terrible! makes the characters look forcefully pinned to a 2D plane, instead of looking natural (like in UMVC3). also animations are MK-tier bad.

@26 Beauty is subjective, if you think every woman should look like a plastic barbie doll with a subjectivly perfect physic, looks, and measurments then the problem is you not the designers. What Wonder Woman shares with Chun Li is that they are strong confident, and independent, something most men can't stand in a woman and that is a sad testimate to how we have come far as a society that views women.

Both women break the status quo about women that they have to look like slutty bimbos who are only strong by numbers and stats and never looking like they truly can punch or kick through a wall. Really tired of this debate over a bunch of cartoon characters because they want to see a bunch of fake looking wmen with tig ol bitties and a big back compete with the likes of men like Batman or Joker. Gotta get out of that midn set people. We are past that.

PART of this community happens to be psuedo-feminist misogynists. They ask for more "female representation" and less "sausage fests" not because they believe in gender equality, but to have more boobs to gawk at. Some of these same people have the gall to be offended by a face that's far from ugly, I wonder how many women in the real world can even live up to the beauty standards of these shut-ins who are rating the way she looks.

@33 Strong points, I agree with many of your assertions. I'm just saying Wonder Woman's face is... interesting. I think we as a society has moved somewhat more toward a more normalized view of women in fiction, mostly because women are starting to break the glass ceiling in the media industry and are taking more powerful positions in it. This coupled with women's rise in income and how White Women are destined to be the largest and Wealthiest demographic in our nation means that the age of busty women who are inhumanly flexible is over.
I have no problem with strong women. But strong woman is such a general term, its definition depends on the person.

Really badass fight scences.I expected Wonder Woman and Batman to win.They won not because their good but they represent something in this universe.Batman we all should know his philosophy and Wonder Woman is the icon to Women.I guessing by the end it would be great to see Batman vs Superman or Batman vs Nightwing.

Like @33 said, Wonder Woman is a strong female, to me she looks great just like that. Of course she ain't the prettiest, but she still looks very good. Besides why do people expect so see another pancake assed barbie face (Cammy, btw Chun looks 10X better than her), when WW is a super powered amazon? Here WW looks kinda like Xena, which is pretty hot, without the need for a barbie face. If you say Sonya (MK9 version), then, we would agree on an ugly ass character.

But enough of this nonsense, the gameplay is what matters, and so far it looks awesome. Every character so far seems to be unique, animations look fluid (someone complained about WW sword animations and Bane's, but I fail to see whats wrong about them). Stages are outstanding (hopefully theres a couple more stages with guess characters, Dr.Fate from a previous pick maybe?). Combo system similar to MK9, which is perfect. And already announced controls similar to SF, and not that bs 1, 2, 3, launcher, jump, 1, 2, 3, launcher, ground attack, super, rinse and repeat we got from UMvC3. Now we have to wait and see the rest of the cast, and hopefully Black Adam reveal. But overall, game looks sick!

For me it's not about Wonder Woman being sexy to gawk at, it's about comic book accuracy. In no comic book that Wonder Woman has ever been in has her face looked terrible. She's always been drawn as a beautiful Amazon warrior. They could at least try to make her look like she actually does. And wtf is up with Batman's pose? God awful. Other than that the game looks good. Looking forward to seeing Raven. Hopefully her face didn't get ran over as well.

Okay Capcom need to step up their game , bringing back characters that can summon other characters into the fight/ having other characters in their pre/post fight poses into their modern games ... enough lack of memory excuses .... I saw Wonder Woman has 2 amazons for her ultra and pre/post fight poses.... In MvsC What happened to Dr Dooms Doom Bots, Doom Guards and his butlers in his win poses ...... In SF X TK where is Rolento's army in his win pose ? And I guess that's why they didn't use his trip wire super too ( in which a solider appeared too ) .... This is why you skip characters like Captain Commando and BB Hood in MvsC , because summons are too hard ? .... Yeah I'll applaude Phoenix Wright's assistant and the Strider bots too .... but Doronjo from Tatsunoko is probably the best attempt at a summon character in a modern capcom polygon fighter ....

@54 To continue on that train of thought, I think Injustice will push for fighting games to get better. Some of what they did won't be used, but it definitely ups the ante on what could be feasible in a fighting game.

Capcom DOES need to step up, they can still have their traditional formula if they want, but the little things like the "summonings" like you've said will really polish their games.

38, You're smarter than that. Most of us really are picking on the art technique. I happen to think this would have been a terrific game if it had been cell-shaded or similar. Photo-real was a mistake imo, and the faces (also the guys without masks) look derpy.

That being said, I'll probably get the game, and probably trade it for CAPCOM vs. CAPCOM in December.

Okay, wow. This game looks f*cking awesome. They've really done an amazing job with the stage variables. I love how the characters interact with them in different ways that are dead accurate to their styles.

The stage transitions are also crazy as hell! The atmosphere of this game is absolutely perfect. It screams DC comics.

As for Wonder Woman's face... it looks ugly as sh*t sometimes, but other times it doesn't look bad at all. Somehow, when she grits her teeth, her face contorts in a way that makes her look really ugly. When she was screaming though, at the beginning of her super combo, I didn't think she looked bad.

Still... this game looks so unique and fun. I can't wait to play it!

Definitely lookin pretty damn good IMO. Definitely enjoying those stage transitions and background interactions. Still not keen on their designs in this game but im happy to know i ll have plenty of dlc alt costumes to choose from haha.

the look of WW reminds me how bad they made Kitana look unmasked in MK9... now that was some fugly stuff.

I think they should have like an option where you can either [1] switch off the stage interactions or [2] during the actual stage cinematic allow the players to press a single button in order to skip it, because competitively speaking it could get very annoying and as others have said it would probably get boring after the first week of seeing it. But most importantly, the FGC should be concerned about the time constraints that it presents.

Kitana unmasked in MK9 was absolutely the fugliest character in the game. Mileena unmasked was more attractive with her razor sharp teeth and stuff.

Well i've said what I had to say and I stand by it. I think the artwork is fine for WW. The face could use a softer touch and thats my professional opinion. But I can respect the muscular build she presents. its a nice change of pace.

I guess what I was trying to say was that I can see where Niether Realms was going. Wonder Woman is not just a Comic Book icon, she is a icon for many women. She kind of represents the symbol of the "perfect woman," strong, confident, and beautiful...not a slut; women see beauty differently then us men thats all and I think Niether Realms was trying not to create the typical female hero archtype we are use to.

Simply put, Wonder Woman is Neither Realms representation of how they see Wonder Woman in the 21st century. how we've seen Wonder Woman as of recent does'nt matter. There is enough versions out there to gawk at.

Wish the hitboxes weren't so sloppy and MK-like.

Some of the animations still look a little wonky, but it looks to be a solid game. Definitely buying it.

I think ALL the character models have some goofiness to a degree. Batman's mouth is kind of off looking to my eyes. But, I can get past it.

Why not? Their models are recycled from Arkham Asylum. If they were to be playable in the game, then they would have their own unique redesign. Common sense.

It's too bad that you can't watch these in 60 FPS, because this game looks incredible at that kind of frame rate. Still, I have to say, this is looking pretty amazing so far. Fast, offensive, the stage interactions look awesome... this is definitely a launch day game for me.
