Another big brute force strength character? Why not give us Ragdoll or something?

Take note that Peinguin and Riddler are hanging out in the background. This makes me believe this is story-related.

And not to offend anyone, but I really hope Croc isn't taking a player character slot. The big strongman archetype was already met with Grundy, then they threw on Bane. Throwing in another character from the same franchise, within the same archetype of powers, and with lesser powers of intelligence and possibly strength just seems overkill, and a slot that could go to someone more unique and/or representative of another franchise.

But, frankly, I would've rather had Croc than Bane. He could throw a rock.

Killer Croc is probably a stage hazard. Given that his design is kinda barebones, not anything like the redesigns we've seen for the other characters, plus that his character model is slightly less detailed as the playable crew, I think it's safe to assume that he won't be playable.

@6 Oooh, that's a good idea! If the stage is Arkham Asylum and the hazards would be intentionally/unintentionally freeing inmates who then harm the opponent, that would be a GREAT opportunity for cameos and unique action!

@12 Bane was talked up as being a grappler in that one magazine preview, so your best bet is that Doomsday is the big striker.

I think they are part of the stage actually as they all do a beating to the character like how u can smack a player into a building, or into the batcaves elevator as they look like their Arkham Asylum version and making it easier to model them.

It's story mode related. We've already been told before that not every character that appears in the story will be playable.

It looks like the exact skins from Arkham City so it's safe to say that this is just a new stage and possible a story scene. They redesigned Batman, Harley, Catwoman and even Joker from their Arkham appearances so these aren't playable characters.

As others have stated Croc looks much less detailed.

They better be only for the story mode because this is getting stupid now.

Probably ties in with the Arkham City skins considering all 3 characters have their Akrham City models.

I have a hunch since ebgames has the red son skins and story and walmart has the arkham skin(check my link I already posted)this might be an arkham city dlc story probably part of the dlc for walmart or maybe its part of the main story or even just a stage hazard.

If I had to guess, it's part of the Asylum stage interactions. Hit someone into Croc and watch as he takes care of business.

Im just assuming because croc, penguin, and riddler have the exact costumes in the Arkham games.

I personally prefer the two hanging in the back than Croc. As much as I would like to agree on not putting more Batman characters, it's pretty hard to go wrong with many of them, especially the villains. Croc is one of those exceptions; he brings nothing unique to the cast unlike, say, Poison Ivy, Ragdoll, and PENGUIN! Oh how I wish he could be in a fighting game...

Looking at the models of these guys (Two-face behind Flash's shoulder) and the textures of the level, it looks like this might be a bonus Arkham City stage.

Makes sense since Netherrealms made Arkham City: Lockdown.

God, so many idiots in these comments jumping to conclusions that any of these characters are playable. Their texture details looks so low compared to existing characters and we already know that there's an Arkham Asylum stage in the game, so either Killer Croc, Penguin and Riddler are all just cameos within the story mode or they're all just apart of a stage. The latter is the most likely. Killer Croc is probably one of the stage hazards.

@65L: That's the problem, though, DC is notoriously horrible at promoting any of their characters outside of Superman's or Batman's respective arenas, and this is the perfect time to start rectifying that, by making them appealing in a game in a genre where people get to intimately control and learn about them.

They did something similar with MK9. Remember Skarlet? She was featured in the background of the Shao Khan arena stage but was unplayable at release. Then she became DLC out of nowhere.

Expect these characters to be DLC at some point. Let's just hope they aren't locked away on the disc. Kappa.

Maybe they might do something like with Tekken. You know, make a clone character with altered moves but with its own voice, story, and a few orignal special moves but still a shadow of the main characters.

They won't be DLC. If they were, they would have their own unique models (which they don't). There were a lot of background characters in MK9 that didn't become DLC. STOP misleading people.

I honestly think the best thing to come out of this update is knowing that Arkham is one of the game's stages.

I don't like that picture of Bane at all. I feel like any second tentacles are going to burst out of his back.

I'm still holding out for Booster Gold and Lobo. Or Ambush Bug as a joke character.

To all that are complaining about batman villains, keep in mind that DC villains show up in almost every comic book. The riddler has been in almost every single member of the justice league's individual comic book. My favorite Green Arrow story arch happens to have an appearance from the riddler. That what happens when all your superheros are in the same universe.

I was just telling the wife today I hoped Harley would have her Arkham City outfit, and this is pretty damn close. Still hoping for Swamp Thing, Gorilla Grod, and Black Canary to be playable.

I think Croc is part of a stage transition. If you go back and watch some preview videos for Injustice you will see the stage transition in action where Croc, Riddler, and Penguin are all in one room.

That update confused me... For a moment I tought EH was being stupid and forgot we already had a video about Croc and the rest. But then I noticed it's just an update to an old post, with info that might as well go into a new one.

I hope these are unlockable.
