After raising over $78,000 for breast cancer research, Skullgirls still placed second in the donation drive and is not going to have an official tournament at Evolution 2013.Sick sh*t. Glad to see that everything they did hasn't gone unnoticed. But not just them, everyone that donated for their games to get in also.
While those who donated but didn't get their game into EVO, know that what everyone did was.. Just awesome, and while your game isn't in EVO; your efforts go to saving lives.
Guess the "Everyone Wins" actually happened with this nice consolation. Great news for SG and Mike Z having his head shaved on stream while wearing a kelt was just icing on the cake
That is fair!!!!! No hate but come on EVO staff "you raised 78k, I gonna throw 1k into your pot" Peace!
1K for an EVO game is sooooooo small, even an unofficial side tournament can do better.
At least they will be on main stage, I guess. lol
Now all Skullgirls has to do is get a Top 8.
I kid, I kid.
damn wish i could go. Glad to see the FGC do something to earn the 'C'.
This is awesome news! I'm really happy that the game will still get some recognition at EVO. Overall, everything that was done was truly amazing. The FGC truly came together with this passed event. Bravo!
It's nice that they're giving them something after all. Haven't really played the game much since a few weeks after it came out, but I really do want the game to succeed and have Mike Z and the rest of the crew to continue making content for it. I need the Squigly DLC. lol
I want to watch Skullgirls more than any other option, but honestly I think Smash will attract a lot more additional bodies to Evo than SG would. Looking forward to some great matches at Evo, and hopefully all the qualifiers!
Didn't Skullgirls get a side tournament and top 8 exhibition on stream last year as well?

Yes Side Tourney last Evo had 100+ entrants
No to any Evo support, had to share a stream with the other side tourney anime fighters
If Skullgirls brought players out to tournaments as well as its fans raised money for the titty cancer, it would have been an EVO main game.
@25 pretty simple.. because it's a 2d game, heavily based on MVC2, and this is the 2d fighting community.
BB was supported by this community in the beginning, but at Evo 2011 it had a really low turnout so they dropped it.
Also BB has had a bad reputation from the beginning, because this community was big fans of Guilty Gear, and they didn't like the changes in mechanics.
did Skullgirls activate X-factor? cause its makin a comeback.
