Thanks. I managed to miss Spab Rog's perfect on PR Rog during the stream...

My bad, I was thinking of the actual top 8 for the singles tournament, not the Ultra exhibition... lmao

One thing I've noticed watching all the various Ultra SFIV streams is that when an ultra in W Ultra is done on a full- or nearly full-health character, the response from the commentators is, "that's so little damage," but when an ultra in W Ultra is used for the kill, they don't seem to have any problem with it. The reason people are down on W Ultra damage scaling is because they look to ultra combos as a raw comeback mechanic as opposed to being "just another tool in the toolbox." To use the Spab vs. Sanford match as an example, where Fuerte is near death, being pummeled by Oni, and he gets off his U2, but does very little damage with it (just under 300?), the problem there was not the low damage on the U2, the problem was that Spab ONLY managed to get off that U2 during that match, and nothing else. If he had actually been playing better and damaging Oni during the match, the U2 would have killed.

Good matches. An improved El Fuerte, he might even be viable now. Those Rose damage buffs. That Chun Li jump.

Now we only have to wait for freaking six more months. Lame!

I have been of the opinion that El Fuerte does not belong in a street fighter game. I wish they would just remove him from USF4.

Good matches! Chun-li's hop is so fast but has very short range... Smug seemed alittle nervous when trying to "get in" though... But OMG dat El Fuerte INSANE!!! Anyways good stuff.

Bison looked kinda outclassed. Are the rumors of his trashness true??? I hope not but that looked pitiful. All the other guys have all this amazing new tech and Bison has.... tick throws? pffft

@shoryuken78 That's useless, especially when his standing forward has alot more range and faster start up. Capcom made bison worse. RIP Bison. And Chun is going to be insane, smh.

I am really disapointed that bison didnt get some serious buffs
Some sure say, his nerfs arent that big of a deal
Which is so apologetic, because he needed buffs!!!

bison is one of those characters that crumbel under serious pressure
he needed more safe moves, an overhead, and better teleport with less recovery

bison is the original villain capcom, he should be as strong as oni, akuma and seth ... if not stronger

Guile looks fun to play. That new upside down kick.

One problem about that Dudley vs Chun match was Dudley shouldve mixed up his offensive pressure with throws.

Improved hitbox on Standing fierce looks like it can stuff crouching shorts at a safer distance now.

Hope these changes stay in effect, good stuff for smug holding back that dudley so he don't get a pointless nerf which capcom loves doing ;)

dang bison looks so predictable. u cant get him to top level cus he has no tools to get their. u can only beat scrubs with him

bisonoob said on December 21, 2013 at 6:19 a.m.

i wanna see combofiend do damage with bison since he's so "viable" that they have to nerf his main tools

Sad that PIE Chin wasn't at the event. Nobody playing Cody at any USF4 event means he is going to get forgotten again :`(

Did you see how that Chun was playing? Lol I mean that Sounds smart on paper but watching the match thats basically saying "go head Smug, eat some more of those EX sbk's".

Zeus vs lucky d that low strong ultra vs focus backdash wasnt an option select at all, proximity or otherwise. Just good old fashioned read and reaction.

The way Combofiend is trying to hype up Bison's standing strong "buff" is laughable.

Great matches. Now hopefully they will show some Gouken play & show Capcom that he needs serious improvements.
