Id tournament announced, sponsored by CafeID - features $10,000 1st place prize for KoF 13, $5,000 prize pot for UMvC3 and AE v2012 respectively With South Korea being somewhat of a home for King of Fighters 13, with the EVO monsters CafeID|MadKOF and CafeID|Verna being from there, it seems only fitting that South Korea would have a large tournament for the game.

Fortunately, that is no longer just a wish, but a reality. The other day, CafeID announced the Id Global tournament, which will feature large cash prizes for Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and Super Street Fighter 4: Arcade Edition v2012, but an even larger prize for King of Fighters 13.

Hit the jump to check out the full scoop.

CafeID announced that the prize pots for Super Street Fighter 4: Arcade Edition v2012 and Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 will be up to $5,000, which in itself is sizable, but for King of Fighters 13, the prize pot is more than double that, with the 1st place winner netting a clean $10,000 for him or herself. You can see the tweet below, as well as the tweet announcing the location and dates. With such a sizable prize pot, one can imagine that it'll gather all of the world's best King of Fighters 13 players in one place, meaning this is an event you will absolutely not want to miss. It was also reported over at Dream Cancel that Bala, the runner-up at EVO 2012's King of Fighters 13 tournament, has been extended a personal invitation.

Wow, this is actually happening. I am hoping more players from Mexico show up, players like Koopa, Kula and Kusanagi.

But I know it is very unlikely, they don't even show up to USA majors and it is closer than Korea.
why??

You don't need a visa to visit South Korea depending on what you country you're coming from, and Mexico is in that list.
