For the Street Fighter 25th Anniversary, a documentary was made entitled "I Am Street Fighter". Previously, this documentary was only available to those who bought the 25th Anniversary Collector's Set, but now Capcom have released it in all of it's glory on YouTube, over at their official Street Fighter channel.

You can check the entire documentary out below, which features tons of interviews and Street Fighter history, and is truly inspiring to see, as a Capcom fan, or a fighting game fan in general.

Did the documentary resonate with you? If so, please let us know how and why in the comments.

Thanks to sidechar for the news tip.

Holy crap! Why isn't the world talking about this? This is a full-length sundance quality doc. I'm enjoying the hell out of this. Cap may not be the most beloved company in the world lately, but they have my respect for this one.

I love you guys. All of you. Even the ones whom I may fight with on a daily basis. But I love you and I love Street Fighter.

So mushy right about now... Street Fighter <3

I appreciate this. I bought the boxset, but couldn't get the documentary to play on my external Bluray player. Awesome.

I normally don't watch documentaries, but I must say this was truly amazing and inspiring in a way. Good stuff Capcom and the FGC for keeping fighting games alive. Even if you only support SF lol.

Also, so much respect to the creators/directors/producers of Tekken and Virtua Fighter for stepping up and giving Street Fighter the credit it deserves for the influence it had on the creation of those games.

Very nice.

Respect to Capcom and respect to the players that made it what it is today! The world would be a duller place without street fighter. :)

A great documentary video. You can feel the love everyone in the video had for Street Fighter.

I'll have to watch this when I get the chance, I can't believe DJ Q Bert is in this. Video games have always been a solid source of sounds for scratch Djs and Turntablists; mad hyped.

at 1 hour 6 minutes "we want to bring fighters - fighting tools to more people than ever"..."the biggest thing for us is to get another official numbered street fighter title out there as soon as we can"

I don't know if this was said before SFXT, but if it was after SFXT's downturn, then Capcom isn't scaling back and is planning something big for next-gen, then again Ono keeps saying the next SF will be far off.
