No one else salty about the subscribe only archives? As someone who lives 15hrs+ mountain time and therefore live and die by archives as a general rule it's kinda hard to watch the free live stream continously.
As a tourney that vaunts itself as the most international (next to evo) due to the flavor of it's particpants it seems a bit strange that they make the archive ppv and withhold it for 2 weeks for none subscribers.
Yeah, go ahead and hold it back for a day or two but 2 weeks...?
Anyway that's my 2 cents.
#10 what are you talking about? I am watching the first channel archives and there are free. Don't say bosh1t, Channel 1 archives are free, go and watch them.
#10, its not strange..They want to hold the archives for two weeks so they can upload the footage to youtube and monetize it. They'll profit from Stream subscribers then force the non subscribers to watch the youtube videos since the archives are locked and they'll also profit from those views.
Its all about the $$$$$$$$$$$$$
Very glad that both Morrigan players won't be seeing top 8 in this tourny. Will be looking forward to some exciting matches.
i money is on Kazunoko will win the single and team tournament again.
Damn marvel has a few upsets already and good stuff seing tokido doing work on notable players like filipino champ!
@10: i live in 15+ hours and i have no problem watching the stream, just sleep early and wake up at 3-4am. also, the archives will be up completely free after 2 weeks so i dont see the problem there.

You're joking right? I don't think Kaz will be able to take this one even if he uses both Seth and Yun.
The only way he'll win is if he has som surprise up his sleave, such as mastering Zangief behind people's back. HaHa.
@24
Bonchan?!?!?!
Nah, I think Fuudo may take home yet another tourny.
I was just celebrating bonchans win over kbrad thats all ha
@22
we will see. Gief will never win a major. I don't see why should he learn gief. counterpick is overrated.
Kazunoko all the way. I think only Fuudo can beat him.
@27
LOL. I didn't even know I wrote Zangief in Comment #22. I was thinking of Balrog. And yes, Fuudo is definitely a major obstacle for Kaz in this tourny. Kaz has been losing out to Fuudo lately and he should have practiced with Boxer since Boxer is a good counterpick agains Fei.
BTW, SnakeEyez won a major (a pretty significant one) using Zangief just last week.
I didn't know SnakeEye won a major. I though he only qualified for the major.
I just know that infiltration can never beat ricky using akuma ! should use ryu if he faces him
@29
Well that is true. SnakeEyez won the Los Angeles qualifiers for the 25th Anniversary, which is the main event. Though, many people consider the LA Qualifiers to be a "major" in itself due to high number of top players that attended it.
BTW, do youknow what happened to Kazunoko?!?! is he still in AE-2012?
The people responsible for updating the battle logs and the notable matches are doing a horrible job, they get an "F" from me.
What the hell happened to GamerBee and Kazunoko in AE-2012?
Damn laugh played really well against Kbrad ! kudos to him
im guessing eventhubs havent updated it yet, i think they made it out in winners
@33
well, whatever. It looks like people think every tournament is major nowadays even a qualifier.
why can I watch the archives? IDK maybe because I am from Europe? Can someone from Europe confirm this?
archive is only for subscribers, it will be released to the public for free 2 weeks after
#42 refer to post #13 for the explanation of why theyre not making the archives public until after TWO weeks.
#44 You don't understand what I am saying, I can actually watch the archives. That is what I am doing right now, watching SSF4 I missed yesterday.
#47: i guess it wont be locked until after the tournament is over, seasons beatings was the same.
#47 Thanks for the heads up. Eternally grateful. Peace.
Bonchan is the best Sagat. Every time I watch him I'm impressed.
Kazunoko has small chance to win it, not only because feilong is a serious threat, but sagat one of his worst matchup is played by his best representative in the world, Kazu must pray that he will not go against bonchan.
Anyway i hope that Mago will take it, he must be used to pressure by now, lets hope for the resurrection of the 2Dgod.
The 480p is not locked. 720p is subscriber only.
I'm with gatts12. I'm hoping Mago can finally take a major. But I'm also rooting for Bonchan. He's the most harmless guy in the FGC. Very hard to root against.
I wish eventhubs would add timezones. The TTT2 is supposed to start at 1pm, but that might be different depending on where you live.
Wow Justin Wong going in! He made top 8 in most game, impressive. Top16 for AE too.
I'm surprised no one is talking about K-Brad's Marvel performance. His Dante is very underrated and he has some setups I've never seen prior to Season's Beatings. One of the few true Devil May Cry representatives.
I can't watch it unless I pay 8.95, is that it? I thought I had to pay only if I wanted to watch it in 720p
Tokido in winner bracket for everything. So much respect due :)
You didn't have to take me so literally did u? :)
#60
I just subscribe for 8.95 and I still can't watch the stream. Money well spent :/
i thought SSF4 top 16 starts at 9 am pdt? What the fuc-k is going on?
I am about to run in my treadmill and I won't stop till at least 45 minutes later. So I need this shi t to start already!!!
tokido wants to save his teches for capcom 25th anniversary
DAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mago hasn't played this good in a tournament since Godgarden 2 Online back in the days of Super-SF4.
Is this Mago's tourn? Will he do it? Oooooooo
So many players have to play so different games in a row. Gotta be hard to cope.
Also, it seems that every one is so good at SSF4, that character match up starts becoming more of a factor in the outcome.
lol, it has nothing with winning evo. He made comeback that's all. I saw this many times with other players like Daigo, J wong, Ricky, Mike Ross, Tokido.
@#78
He's just giving '1' reason why he is EVO champ. Put the gun away and stop shooting people down :/
that's why Infiltration can't win Canada cup. Each tournament is independent.
Wow, I thought no bromance would ever come close to Gooteck's and Mike Ross', but Xian's and Zhi's embrace almost brought me to tears. Good for Xian and Mago, those were some great matches.
Congrats to Xian. From making his Gen debut a year ago in Canada Cup to coming back to win it as a more experienced Gen player shows what hard work can reward you.
Applause for Mago as well for going all the way and pushing Xian hard. Finally he's able to perform to his standard in foreign land. His 1st major will definitely come sooner than later.
@kelshou #89: mike tyson had someone in his corner to help he see more clear between rounds.. anderson silva has people in his corner for the same exact reason. would you take any credit from their performances? theres no logic for the coaching hate whatsoever. its ubiquitous in sports.
an intelligent champion accepts any advantage within the confines of the rules.
consider that the final word on team mate coaching in sf.
Xian is pure class...seems like a very nice guy that enjoys growing and improving. Never mind seeing someone like him win a major especially using a character that is as entertaining and slept on as Gen. congrats to Xian!
UMvC3 top 8 should be entertaining as well...great tourny quit complaining about 8.95 and show some support
This is probably the biggest tournament outside of EVO & they lose money putting it on, God forbid they should recoup some money to go towards paying their costs.
I'm in the uk and i have to stay up till 6.30-7.00 am but it's worth the hassle, if you can't watch it live just pay the subscription and support Canada Cup. I swear the FGC is full of tightwads who expect everything spoon-fed to them absolutely free & Woe betide anyone who doesn't deliver exactly that.....losers!
@96
I get your point, but CEO and Seasons Beatings are almost always bigger than this. This just has an unusually big international turnout.
