EightSixed's Twitch TV channel has a ton of archived footage showing off the patched version of Skullgirls. Featured here are two Salty Cupcakes tournaments that took place during the past two weeks. Skullgirls creator, Mike Z, was in attendance and provides commentary through out each archive and competes as well.

Are we gonna get any more info on DLC characters?

DLC characters are not being paid for yet. This whole Patch fiasco needs to be done with before they start the next character, which should be done in considerably less time, since this patch has been delayed so much due to errors and bugs focused mainly in locale stuff (Mexico copy, europe copy, etc. not working right).
A Japanese copy is also being worked out, potentially, since they've recently started working with an unnamed Japanese publisher. That, and the PC port should be out relatively quickly (compared to the patch). This game has had a rocky start, but things are lining up and looking like they will turn out really well.
Hopefully, because I bought the game on day 1 and enjoyed it. But for a while the community has been going down. Hopefully they can get these things fixed the sooner the better. And I thought they were already working with Konami on this.
And that is the other thing is the PC version. Hope they can get that out there soon, apparently they want to add cross platform play between PC and PS3 which would be a really good way of expanding both communities. Hopefully they can get that done for the PC release.
*saw thumbnail of Skullgirls and saw the word "patch" on header and was shorty dissapointed
Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu~
In all honesty, i figured we would have got 2 at least dlc fighter by now (Umbrella and Squigly)
oh well i still play SG time to time because its a legit 6 button 2d fighter with very well done hand drawn animations
This patch will forever be in limbo. Seriously I've never heard of anything like this.

Ship gets delayed all the time, what are you talking about? DLC/patches are not always ready quickly, that's why capcom and other companies have been making DLC/disc-locked content in advance, because the wait for testing and pushing it through can hurt the game's momentum (see Skullgirls).
The only reason THIS wait is so dreadful is because Mike Z got too open and excited about the patch and told everyone before he should have. Remember SSF4? When that first was announced, it been in the works for quite some time. There were pictures taken accidentally of Dee-Jay/T-hawk way before the announcement. Imagine if Capcom had told everyone the second they started working on it. People would have dropped SF4 until the next one came out, and they would have been pissed that it was taking a year or two.
If they ever add more characters I'd pick it back up in a heartbeat, but they need to get the cast up to at least 15 .... preferably 25+. With only 8 fighters I got bored with it after a couple of weeks. Too bad because it's decent fighting game.
Sooo need to fix my Double Fortune team a bit lol X3

It didn't helped that many people, like a certain someone in commenting in this thread, kept saying that there will be dlc and free patches. Neither of which happened nor looks likely to happen soon.
ultra rare instance where skullgirls is on the front page by more than a month after its release.
@6
you hope a lot.
@12
i think they were trying to make it a "world warrior" game (sf2-like)
i do. Just getting other fighters wrapped in my head. but i have no problem going back to some SG
