Set your Nico version to Japan (drop down at the bottom of the Nico site) that'll let you access those links. You need to be logged in.

I don't get how Tokido is competing in SFXT when hes already qualified.

@thegoldencat

I'm guessing here, but maybe Tokido is competing for the prizes, which are nice. And if he gets a top 2 spot, he'll forfeit it to the 3rd overall placer in SFxT, but still win the prize.

It wouldn't be a bad way of sorting it out, and maybe there was a loophole in the rules he got around when he entered the Brazil tournament.

Again, all speculation on my part, but yeah, I could see them doing it this way.

Ah, that would explain it. Thanks.

I have never heard anyone more hype about SFXT than these commentators.
Tokido's lame game with Sim is simultaneously brilliant and horrible.

@Spotlessden

16 people qualify for AE and SFxT total for the grand finals in San Francisco.

Unless I'm missing something... according to the official website, there are 7 tournaments listed, and then there's the Japanese one playing out now: http://www.streetfighter25.com/en/tou..., which isn't listed there.

So the two more people in SFxT and AE v2012 will come from the Japan tournament, unless there's something I'm unaware of.

Wow a pad player makes it into SFXT grand finals....this is the first time I've seen a pad player at a Japanese tournament, makes me wonder how many other pad players there are for games such as SSF4 and TTT2, but they dont get the chance to play at some big tournaments because they use arcades.

and Tokido takes SFXT...again lol (won in Brazil to) that pad player was awesome to come back and taking it to the final game, the best SFXT finals I've seen anywhere

@Catalyst

All i know is going to the US final is not one of the prize of the Japan tournament.
Capcom never said anything about "two more people in SFxT and AE v2012 will come from this Japan tournament."

Also, You are not allow to enter any tournament that you already qualified to just win prize, that's the official rule. J wong will not allow to enter 3s, and SFXT in LA qualifier

According to Beast Note website;

"Prizes:
For winning the tournament, Umehara received shield (certificate), PlayStation Vita, PS Vita version of Street Fighter vs. Tekken, and an in-game title "Kami ni Chikazuitamono" (The person who is closest to God). (But that's downgrading since he is already called God of Fighting Games....)"

But yeah, I would also like to know if Daigo and Fuudo (1st and 2nd) will be sent to the San Francisco Finals.

Yeah we can already give MOV his prise for the San fransisco final, the only who can stop him is Mester if he qualifies.

Daigod prove again that he's the Number one in SF 4

And tokido is maybe the Best SFXT player in the world with infiltration.

Fuudo has been the only Fei that has been consistently giving Daigo trouble this past couple years, I don't recall Daigo losing to any other Fei player at any tournaments, but it looks like he has found an answer to Fuudo now.
