Nastyy's Skrull guide is old. Hell, it's even older than the upload date there because EdmontonGamers bought the guide from him

And now here comes the complaints from the internet scrubs >_>

I got nothing to complain about that's great tech. Something to try out in the lab, looks much easier than having to time the regular link.

that skrull guide is pretty good if only the had one for each member of the cast

"new Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 Super-Skrull guide" uploaded "June 2012" ...wat?

#6
massi4h said on October 9, 2012 at 8:59 p.m.

Also the only scrubs complaining are the ones who don't know the difference between new and old tech (aka the ones getting angry at the people who know the difference complaining).

How about urself, anaboliscrub and heybarnold. Repeats; every roundup, same guys, same annoying comments. But yeah, i'd love to run some sets against you. Just to shut you up =) see how amazing you truly are, cause if tou talk so much sh*t like you do, you better be knowing what ur doing

#12
massi4h said on October 10, 2012 at 12:30 a.m.

I would love to get a Money Match with you. I live in New Zealand so the only major I can make it to is Shadowloo Showdown. I'd love to take you on there if you can make it lol.

And besides that, I never implied I was really good, I just said I understand the mechanics and can see the difference between old tech and new tech. Not that I wouldn't say I can't hold my own.

#13
BionicRebel said on October 10, 2012 at 12:45 a.m.

#13 pretty convinced i would shut you up then, not saying i'm the best but internet BS'ers like you fail when it's going down, so trust me you don't want to involve any money haha =) and yeah new zealand thats too bad, has the worst connection ever with Europe cause otherwise I would've fought you online, and i won't be visiting majors cause I have a job and gf to take care of. Now if you'll excuse me i'm gonna stop wasting my precious time on your irrelevant comments

#14
massi4h said on October 10, 2012 at 12:54 a.m.

LOL. You just called yourself an online warrior. I go to tournament, I won NZ nationals, I took 2 games off Justin Wong, Marlinpie and FChamp in FT4 Money Matches and 3 off Knives.

I'd be glad to involve money to play you lol.

#15
BionicRebel said on October 10, 2012 at 1:42 a.m.

Yes that's correct, ONLINE. Need to spell it out for you? Wow you sure are the bragging type. Whatever you achieved i couldn't care less and on top of that it doesn't impress me, in marvel anyone can beat anyone. Ur trying to say that you have to take part in majors to be good? LOL ask the online community jackass. I don't think they'll agree, myself and a lot of other ppl just don't think it's worth it to cross the globe, spending lots of money just to play some games, that's why we have online gaming which is btw more impressive to be good at than offline. So you can call big names all you like you don't really impress me im sorry I train with Infrit every now and then online so, it's not about who your playing against and what ur winning etc it's about having fun. And i'm having most fun beating the likes such as yourself. This was my last mssg to you cause ur just not worth my time. I have spoken. Goodluck at Shadowloo Showdown tell my boy Infrit i said hi. Hi, bye.

#16
massi4h said on October 10, 2012 at 1:52 a.m.

Ah well that was fun. ONLINE is definitely where the skills is, especially with this game which has heaps of lag. I'm sure playing Infrit from the Netherlands must be a great connection. You're the one saying I'm free, so I named some stuff that I've done. All you've done is play online with Infrit. Wow great job man, I'm so scared now.

#17
vivadongodon said on October 10, 2012 at 1:56 a.m.

You're both impressing no one, so both of you stop acting so immature.

#18
massi4h said on October 10, 2012 at 2:07 a.m.

I'm not trying to impress anyone, hence why I never mention any of my achievements unless it is relevant. This guy is trying to call me out but keeps changing the argument to suit himself. How about this BionicRebel, you come to Shadowloo Showdown next year and if you beat me first to 15 I'll pay for your plane ticket?

#19
azik21 said on October 10, 2012 at 2:33 a.m.

Online is not where good players are created. Imo online is good for learning a game but when you get to a certain level (pretty low level) you need to play offline to get even better.

#20
dOugiieOVRKLL said on October 10, 2012 at 3:19 a.m.

Is this conversation really happening -___- like.....

#21
HyperViperNZ said on October 10, 2012 at 3:52 a.m.

Online and offline BOTH have extremely skilled players. Saying only one side of players are more skilled than the other is pretty ignorant. People underestimate the online players because apparently lag makes them less skilled but in fact its the online players who can adapt to all sorts of connection speeds and still pull out there flashiest combos on and offline.

#22
AnaboliChris said on October 10, 2012 at 3:55 a.m.

massi4h, dont waste your time with him.

@ #20, this is true. In fact, you will notice it yourself..thats how different online vs offline is.

Anyway, let these scrubs enjoy their old tech while we enjoy our new ones. I mean its obvious enough to see where their skill level is at..we dont need to reiterate it for everyone and embarrass them.

#23
AnaboliChris said on October 10, 2012 at 3:57 a.m.

Online players are better because they can adapt to lag and win LOLOLOLOLO. More like they are able to abuse the lag and win. Or better yet, they know online tactics (due to lag) to win. Every move in the game is safe online. Sometimes they even become unblockable because its hard to react to online lag! Get real!

From my experience, online players who go to offline tournaments do horrible. Its either one or the other. You can spot an online warrior in an offline tournament from a mile away.

#24
OniBlanka said on October 10, 2012 at 4:10 a.m.

@24
Nobodies saying online players are better. HyperViper said they're underestimated which is true. In my experience online players are equally as good offline and are just as good playing the other offline players. Unfortunately it doesn't work the other way around.

Its not wrong until you 'try' prove its wrong. ;)
Anyway, have fun with your lag and lag spike infested environment.

No idea who you are or what you're talking about.

#28
OniBlanka said on October 10, 2012 at 4:37 a.m.

@AnaboliChris
You ARE wrong though. Your previous comment was childish, ignorant and sounds like it's only based on your experience so it's also pretty bias. I play both on and offline and enter tournaments in both and see no difference with skill level.

#29
AnaboliChris said on October 10, 2012 at 4:38 a.m.

#28, This is the internet, obviously, you are not suppose to know me. But if you're going to post on a message board, be prepared to have people talk to you.

No idea who I am? That doesnt matter, this is the internet. What I'm talking about? I'm talking about your silly post from above. But I can tell you cant hold a conversation so I'll leave you alone.

#30
AnaboliChris said on October 10, 2012 at 4:41 a.m.

#29, I respect your opinion. You're right it might be based on my experience. And from my experience, online is nothing more but lag abusers who doesnt translate well to offline scene without adjusting their play style. Examples: Spencer Zip...ya theyre safe online. His instant over head? Oh yeah I see it coming..let me block it..nope lag made it impossible to react to.

Online tactics doesnt work in an offline setting. Theres no lag for them to abuse.

#31
AnaboliChris said on October 10, 2012 at 4:46 a.m.

Forgot to mention that offline play requires a person to think before they made a move. I noticed that a lot of online players dont think at all and just goes in. Why? Because lag and lag spikes allow that time of behavior.

If you have that same kind of mindset at an offline setting, you will lose faster than you sat down on that seat that you played on.

#32
HyperViperNZ said on October 10, 2012 at 4:57 a.m.

@30
Oh sorry, it's just the way you're talking to me for the first time is like I've somehow offended you and you're retaliating by trying to make silly jokes.
But anyway, I get what you're saying about online players trying to abuse lag but it's nothing like that with my experience. I only play online within the same region so I hardly experience lag at all. You do get the occasional little lag spike but no players abuse anything.
Like OniBlanka said, I too haven't really noticed a difference with the skill offline compared to online and I play both equally also.

#33
AnaboliChris said on October 10, 2012 at 5:05 a.m.

Ok but this still gets to me, " but in fact its the online players who can adapt to all sorts of connection speeds"

Adapting to all sorts of connection speeds or 'accommodating' for online connection is just another way of saying someone who uses lag for their advantage. Characters like Spencer doesnt get affected by lag spikes as much compared to someone who lets say plays Magneto. One lag spike for Magneto and ALL of their easy BnB's drop. So then lag or lag spike is the REAL factor of who becomes a winner in an online setting and not skill. Online match determines whos got the better connection not the better player.

Repeated of accommodation of something is another way of saying abuse btw.

Theres no way to determine if a match will be lagless or not. What might be full 5 bars can fluctuate to 2-3 mid match. What might feel smooth might actually have slight lag to it. I guess it doesnt help that I play characters with strict timing and strict execution.

#34
HyperViperNZ said on October 10, 2012 at 5:24 a.m.

When I play other people online, I only play with others that have constant 4-5 bars so I never experience overwhelming lag or even lag that's bad enough to effect my combos and I can keep combos going consistently by adjusting to the speed of the gameplay. I main Viper so it's especially important to adapt to the speed of any connection when using her. You're right about the lag one lag spike would drop an execution heavy chars BnB combo but I've honestly yet to come across that problem personally.

lol bionic pulled the girlfriend and job card. too funny. And then you said "I'm going to stop wasting my time" which is contradictory because you said that you would play him online, which is BIG waste of time. especially if you have beef with the person.

BionicRebel said on October 10, 2012 at 2:01 p.m.

#37 gf and job card hahalol yeah i guess that was pretty funny but it is true though. He's asking me to go to a big major tournament, but seriously who would really cross the globe spending cash just to make a statement. Then i might as well battle him online for the ease. Whatever discussion's over i guess

#39
AnaboliChris said on October 10, 2012 at 2:16 p.m.

"but seriously who would really cross the globe spending cash just to make a statement."

Top players do it all the time. Watch any major. Google Evo..its a tournament where everyone travels to that specific tournament to prove a statement. The statement that they want to prove is that they are better than anyone; the best in the world.

But someone who plays the game casually will not see it this way. Which is acceptable if thats how you want to have fun with the game. But dont knock on people who likes to better themselves by playing other competitive people in a lag free environment ..in an environment where lag isnt the factor of a match.

Oh and just a heads up, a lot of top players also has GF and a job. Thats how they get to travel to such events. But I guess we know who wears the jeans in your relationship huh? I think your wife wants you to cook dinner now, go on.

#40
BionicRebel said on October 10, 2012 at 2:44 p.m.

#40 wow i love the effort you put in trying to make another person look bad, kinda sad. Let me say it differently: I don't think it's worth it to cross the globe to make this statement. That better for ya? stop being a wise *ss for a second. It's my opininion yeah? And talk as much trash as you like but i do have a job and gf to take care of i can't just leave so no i'm not a top tournament player (dind't call myself that did I). You get it? That's why I don't enter tournaments. So even if i did think it was worth it I couldn't leave, bills need to be payed my friend. My choice: I just like online gaming rather than entering tournaments and travelling all the time, my opininion. And about you going on about laglaglag, I have to agree with #35 as an online 'warrior' as you call em or whatever, i too have yet to come across this problem. All the ppl i play with have 4 to 5 bars connection which lets you combo perfectly fine. If I see 1 2 or 3 bars i just don't play.

#41
AnaboliChris said on October 10, 2012 at 2:52 p.m.

See it wasnt that hard to admit to yourself huh? I dont try to make another person look bad, I just act like a mirror so others can see who they truly are. I re arranged the words that you wrote so you can see and understand what others might see in what you're typing.

"I have a gf and a job so I cant travel," Has a lot of interpretations from person to person. Some people can look at it as an excuse or it can be a legit reason. Clarify yourself if you hate being judged.

Oh and dont challenge anyone online to prove a point because online has many variables to consider. Thats another thing that everyone here is trying to point at.

Glad I could help you with your self realization. You are now a better person.

massi4h said on October 10, 2012 at 2:55 p.m.

I can land most of my bnbs online as well. But the game isn't just about combos, that's a casual perspective. Teleport mixups are so much easier online, while getting in or keeping out and doing fluid movement is alot harder because of lag. It's good for fun and learning matchups but it's nowhere near an optimal tournament environment.
But you already are talking yourself up but you only play online, I bet your country has somewhat of a tournament scene.
Also HyperViper has to play online cause he lives pretty far out from most of us over here, so online is pretty much his main option. He still made it out to both national tournaments we've had (beat me last year :P) so good on you bro.

#43
BionicRebel said on October 10, 2012 at 3:06 p.m.

#43 hmm yeah ur probably right about mixups being easier etc. I play some offline as well with a friend but just not in tournaments so yeah i know there's a difference between them, but still doesn't mean online players can't be really good players (not that you're saying that) And really the lag isn't too bad most of the ppl I play are in the States and it's like fine.. like near to offline connection just a slight input delay sometimes, but that's just adapting a little. About the tournament scene over here, there is a bit of a tournament scene, some tournaments near Amsterdam sometimes, not really big majors ofcourse but it's not too bad honestly. I just don't feel like entering because indeed like we said im much more used to online. Thanks for the normal response btw, appreciated and talks much more pleasant. Unlike the person above you, not even gonna reply anymore to this guy.

Good its a start. Heres a helpful and friendly tip: If you dont like someones comments, ignore and move on. First priority when commenting is commenting the information provided by the article. This will help you not attack people unintentionally as seen on post #12 because you never know if they'll attack you right back.
