It is definitely no fun to watch 13 minutes of gootecks being grumpy because he's facing a t hawk. a total moanfest, won't be watching again.

I know mms native he's a great guy met him at kotc and he's really really good. He almost beat emp hiro.

The fact that he would have denied the FT5 JUST because he plays T.Hawk is vile. If you play the game to be a better player, why would you ever deny the opportunity to learn a matchup you don't know that well? The T.Hawk player was flailing around and doing (a bit) of stupid stuff not because he's a scrubby T.Hawk (obviously he's an excellent player), but because he didn't need to play completely safe. Why bother when you're fighting someone who complains and falls for all the basic grappler setups? This attitude from Gootecks is just awful.

While it's definitely not pleasant to hear him moan, it's not exactly all rainbows and sunshine to get bodied because you have no idea what you're in for. Do you all go to take tests blind? What do you go to school for and do homework for? To prep you for the test. Native is a freaking beast, but T. Hawk is definitely a niche character.

Probably would not have accepted if he knew it was gonna be T. Hawk? Yeah, a bit off putting, but bad match ups are bad.

I don't know about Balrog, but Rose against T.Hawk isn't a bad matchup at all. Hell, its one of her few good matchups.

Also the Thawk vs Rose matchup is definitely not a favorable matchup for Rose. It's not severely stacked against her or unwinnable, but it's a very difficult matchup nonetheless.

How is it difficult? Rose wins the ground game with her superior normals and ultra 1 keeps him honest in the air. Theres nothing to fear when you're not throwing fireballs or not using ultra 2.

As much as I love some gootecks, just watch the 3rd strike video, ignore AE.

maybe he was having a bad day, i dunno, but gootecks' mindset was completely wrong throughout the entire thing. he could've treated this like a learning experience, paid attention, and actually gained something from it. instead he threw a temper tantrum and decided he'd lost before he'd even begun.

LOL T.Hawk is one if the scrubbiest characters in the game, the majority online just churn butter all day.
And as a Rog user, yes it is a very bad matchup in the same vain as playing Gief.

did you guys actually watch the video? you're hating on gootecks because he said "not accepting the challenge if he knew it was t-hawk"? he also said he wouldn't do it because he has no clue about the matchup. he wanted to be prepared if he does a ft5. he also apologized for this bad show.

Not being prepared is no excuse to have a bad attitude period. I thought it was strange coming from Gootecks who seems pretty down to earth

@27 A character can never be "scrubby" only the player. You could say he is the weakest but as you can see, this T.Hawk did'nt look very weak.

Perhaps we need to cr eate a tier list for top players because it seems to make more sense.

@Freeyu I don't know about you but fighting grapplers online is painful, especially T.Hawk. He can risk churning butter during block strings and combos because he has 200+ health on 80% of the cast and one mistake = you missing 1/5 of your life. You can say to just not drop combos/blockstrings but the nature of online play is dealing with lag even in tiny amounts. Not to mention T.Hawk has a shoryuken with huge priority and lots of mobility due to his Condor Dive. I can admit when someone is better than me but when I play T.Hawk or Zangief online all I feel like is I am losing to the character, not to the player, and it makes me pretty salty as well.

I don't really understand how to play Hakkan properly so I tend to lose even if they aren't as highly "ranked" as me and you can bet I'm salty to have to lose again to a dude I don't really understand. He's obviously more famous than you for a reason so stop trying to troll his streams by saying he sucks.

If your such a baller go stream your own battles, but I'm gonna go ahead and assume most of you are a D+ trolling the internet, since really awesome players shouldn't need a stream to help improve their game. If only the net trolls realized how easy it is to pick them out from the real quality players. I never see justin wong trolling gootenks streams and dissin his ability.

FGC is so childish these days its insane. I remember playing SF3 in arcades and you can bet no one just stood there dissing people, cuz the players would just turn around and f**k you up in real life. I also live in New Jersey though so we have whats called a ball sack and will gladly smack a bitch for being a pretentious prick.

Its ok dude I know most of this is WAY over a trolls head but I don't worship FGC members at all, why would I call them childish if I worshiped it. I'm sorry brah but your just a troll and nothing more. Like I said before I challenge you to make a stream and get as many viewers as him. I am going to weigh and say Native is a beast.I don't think Gootecks would have beaten him even if he knew the match up. Native is a very smart player and he does compete at big two or eight on the break regularly. So he is not some button mashing jabronie who never gets out there. For all the folks complaining about Gootecks don't act like we have not done the same thing in the quiet of our own homes when we lose. I can't see myself mustering up hate for a guy I have only met once like 3 years ago but I guess that comes with the territory. Looking at the streamchat is sad enough lol.

No need to argue. It's entertaining to watch. Plain and simple lol.

That said, as a Rose player I find T.Hawk is pretty free lol, but then again I don't play against MMS Native. lol oh well.
