@6 thanks alot,im just trying to make apoint that full rosters in any fighter is very important,costumes mean nothing to me,how about free DLC characters instead but oh wait team ninja said there not doing dlc characters,anyway LEON AND EIN WE MISS YOU.

@14 go play DOA4 then. Hitomi is the successor of Ein anyways that inherited a lot of his movesets, but is just a bit faster but does a little less damage in return, and Leon was the original Bayman before he came in, just that Leon was a slower more powerful version of him, and Leon could air-throw.

What? Ein and Hayate was the same person (albeit Ein was the playable character before Hayate back in DoA 2 and was always an unlock-able character in every DoA fighter since then) but thats where the similarities end. Ein does Karate (and yes he fights noticeably different then Hitomi, even if they share the same fighting style look at Kokoro/Akira, Gen Fu/Eliot, Tina/Bass, Kasumi/Hayate they fight differently) While Hayate is Mengen Tenshin NInjitsu. Ein and Hayate being the same person should have been no issues since he can just be playable outside story like always. Look at AE, Kof XIII, Any recent Tekken/SC game have characters like Ein present

@8 Its the developement teams choice, plus Tecmo Koei & Namco do the same with the paid DLC and even locked away DLC like Capcom. The real main source with paid DLC is really Sony & Microsoft, and DLC has to be locked away for certain purposes. Its not just Capcom's DLC practices, its all third party companies even Namco, Tecmo Koei, WB Games, EA, Activision, etc.

Kokoro's is my fave. Mila's is pretty sweet too. I understand that Leon and Ein arent in this game because aren't Hitomi and Bayman exactly like them? Wonder why Tengu ain't on it.

Ein fighting style= Hitomi's
Leon fighting style= Bayman

The difference are so small that there's no point in having them there, they would be clones. As for those saying Bayman came after and "inherited" Leon's move list, newsflash Bayman debuted in DOA1 and Leon in DOA2, so who came first you say?

Anyways Leon's story ended in DOA3, he doesn't have any purpose to be part of what's going on anymore, so that's probably why they cut him in the end.

People complaining that Ein and Leon should be in the game:

Need to learn to get over it, there are characters almost exactly like them in the game that they can play. Also, DOA5 has added 5 new characters already, you are making yourself look pitiful by complaining so much.

People complaining that Ein and Leon are ok with being left out:

It is ok, but it is not a smart business move. DOA is already plagued with a small character roster in comparison to other popular 3d fighting games, especially in when you only look at the variety of male characters. This game is pretty much over-run by fine female fighters. It isn't a bad thing, but bringing back some of the former masculine macho characters would bring a sense of balance and be more comforting for those who are uncomfortable (insecure) with having a big selection of vivacious characters. There are 2 things that frighten the majority of the fgc: Games that can be interpreted as being animu of any kind, and games where the guy to girl ratio is no less then about 8:1 (insecure guys be insecure).

Also, even though Ein and Leon are clones, they have history that people have grown attached to (I'm an Ein fan). Think about your main that you are playing right now, and now think of what would happen if he/she was replaced with someone else (different gender, race, and personality) but still had the same moveset. You may not feel as comfortable playing as that character. It has been shown that it is much more positive then negative to have clones in a fighting game, so there is no harm or legitimate reason to not have them put in.

@45 your right but like i keep saying over and over again roster is important,like i said before in other blogs ALL FIGHTING GAMES HAVE CLONES,look at gen fu,he has nothing to do with doa4 or 5 and hes once again a secret character so whats the difference there?there aint know difference,so like i said,WE MIS YOU LEON AND EIN!!!

Free dlc is cool! Would be nice to have Leon and/or Ein back. Haven't played as Leon much, but Ein has been my main since DOA2. He plays nothing like Hayate, and while Hitomi is very similar, they are different enough to warrant Ein to make a return (believe me, I've tried to play as Hitomi but I just can't, she feels...wrong). Just make him versus and time attack only or something. Anyways, keep up the good work, Team Ninja!
