A Capcom-Unity member jumped into the Ask-Capcom forums to see ther was possibly any update on news for Street Fighter X Tekken on the PC. The console versions already have a date for v2013, but the PC version is still a few patches behind the console.Guys,
The dev work is complete. We're in the paperwork phase and Derek is nearly done with his part. Marketing needs to finalize the metadata entry for their parts. There's literally 100 pieces of DLC that the paperwork needs to be done for MS and Valve separately. That's where it's at.
I don't have an ETA from Derek unfortunately on this. That's all the info I have at the moment. As more becomes available (like a date) it will be on Capcom-Unity.

I wonder if they made any further changes from what they already provided.
SF x Tekken with a mountain of folders. That's a nicely done quick thumbnail. A lot of the recent news teaser photos have been more awesome than usual.
This is like the 2nd or 3rd time they've claimed to be "finalizing." Also 100 pieces of DLC? Nice, I guess they still plan on piecemealing everything to PC users at a premium cost even after the 6month wait and SFxT 2013 only 2 months away on consoles. Heaven forbid they give away any of the content as an apology for the massive delays. (Give everyone the DLC chars free, make a cheap bundle for all the costumes like 9.99 for every chars new alt costume)
@Damodar
Try doubling that number and you'll be closer
PC = 1.02
Consoles = 1.07
Console release date of v1.03 = April 24th 2012
Today = November 23rd 2012
May-June-July-August-September-October-November
7 months.
As a matter of fact, the PC is so far behind that when it did finally get the 1.02 patch that it received back in June the consoles had just gone to 1.05 a week earlier. The consoles received 3 additional patches before it was ported to the PC.
Plus even if Capcom manages to release this epically late patch it will be outdated in 2 months when v2013 hits consoles on January 29th. And judging by the wait times for 1.02, 1.07 and AE2012 the SFxT2013 patch will hit PC sometime around June-July 2013 (and likely be behind due to bug fix patches that will be released for consoles post 2013)
@Shano because they wont even START porting 2013 until it's already finished AND RELEASED on xbox360. That is just how Capcom operates, they have said so already. They don't even send the code out to be ported until it is already approved and released for 360. Thus waiting would just be a waste of time since they have nothing they will work on between now and the release of v2013 on consoles.
PC wouldn't get 2013 any sooner either way. At least this way there is ~1 - 1/2 months were PC is caught up to consoles before being outdated again for around 5-6 months
@ #12
Then the way they operate is sh*t and they better understand it because it's just hurting them.
It gets to a point where even the most invested players stop caring when they have to wait a gazillions month, only to have their version of the game become outdated after like 6 weeks only. And that happens (or, actually, gets worse) with every patch.
With next gen consoles getting closer and closer, the current ones get heavier and heavier discounts. Those who still have some hope left in SFxT better buy a 360 for like 100 $ or something - and that's coming from a PC enthusiast.
@#13 It's all because of Capcom Japan. They made that ridiculous decision about the wait for the patches.
In my experience japanese producers are almost always acting like total idiots when it comes to business part of the game industry. Why won't they ever learn? Good thing Capcom USA at least tries to think for them... to bad Japan has all the authority.
Man I was so excited for this game when it first came out on pc. Now it's such a joke. I'm kinda regretting the fact that I bought it, and that never usually happens when I buy a game. At this point I don't even feel like talking about the potential that it has because it has been such a disappointment to me.
