Svensson would love to do a crossover fighter with Disney, but thinks it will never happen - UMvC3 digital release live at end of the month on 360

If Capcom USA vice president, Christian Svensson, had his pick of doing a crossover fighting game with any company, he'd pick Disney. Svensson added that this wouldn't happen for a variety of reasons, but he'd love to work with them.

He also updated users on the digital release of the Xbox 360 version of Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, stating that it'd be out at the end of this month.

Daemon Gildas: If Capcom could do a crossover with any series, franchise, or company, who would you choose?

Svensson: It'll never happen for a variety of reasons, but personally, I'd love Disney.

Ashlee: Back in July I asked if there would be a digital release of UMvC3 on PS3/360. The normal turn around is 6 months for disc base game to go to the digital stores (at least for 360) UMVC3 has missed this marker.

Svensson: On X360, it will go live on Games on Demand at the end of this month I'm told. For PS3, timing is still indeterminate. Some dev work needs to get done there.

#5 FF Dissidia with the concept of every protagonist vs main villains got an awesome roster already. Just take out the part of "protagonist only" out of the equation and you'll find other great characters that use other weapons. For example: Fran, Tifa, Juna, Terra, ect... Even summons could be potential characters like Odin, Diablo or Shiva. That would be epic!!

Main reason is Disney's main audience is children (and somewhat parents also). When parents see fighting (punching and hitting), they see violence no matter if it's bloody or not and you know the mass majority of parents will say no to it. When parents disapprove, sales will drop and the thing is a disaster. That's why. Plus, Disney will ALWAYS have the last saying in anything that they do because they're always the bigger company (and yes, bigger than Capcom).

Svensson has poor taste. Anyway, I don't know if Capcom is up for another crossover. Their last one made me sick to my stomach. All I want now is an HD remix of CvS2 with an online component, because I don't trust them with the sequel.

#34 It was the concept of the game you fool. Shantotto and Gabranth were characters you unlock on the original game as EXTRAS. Then on 012 they included other characters to expand the roster and to finally add Lighting. I mentioned Tifa and Terra as characters that don't use swords as a reply to #5.
