So I saw on shoryuken.com people discussing how UMVC3 is dead like SFxT.

Did I miss something...?

I don't believe that is accurate. Nothing new is out to make that big of an impact to kill marvel. A lot of ppl left SF4 for sfxtk then came back. Same happens with marvel. No matter what... you'll always be back. Lol

@1 I think they mean that support wise from Capcom, the game is dead, or they're borderline retarded.

Nothing will ever kill marvel other then a new marvel, or maybe another capcom vs something. Anyone saying different are delusional, AE and UMVC3 are main stays plain and simple.

Yeah, I figured out about it on like Wednesday, and today is the first day I actually caught some Marvel. Sucks that you missed out on it, though. I would be pissed if there was an event here in Milwaukee and I could have went but didn't know. You should go tomorrow for all the Grand Finals.

Yeah, maybe I will. I still can't tell if this was open entry or invite only? Wtf?

And last year I'm pretty sure this event was an anime expo with some small side tourney that everyone skipped!? Idk man, but I'm salty as hell on this one.

Milwaukee you say? I lived in Waukesha when I was a kid. Only for about a year. It was around the time some famous murders were taking place in Milwaukee. (No connection to me lol)

Nice to see Alex Valle doing well and winning the Super Turbo is no surprise. Justin Wong will always find it difficult to beat Valle at ST. It's amazing that Valle is still going strong and despite his age and not being to practice a lot like he did during his prime, he still manages to compete with the big time players today.

@21

It's a shame that you didn't know that this tournament is being played near your area. If it was an open entry, that is sad. I will be annoyed if that happened to me.

It's a yearly anime con that's been running for longer than I care to remember. They've always had tournaments, but it wasn't until last year that DMG showed up, set up a stream with skisonic, and had PR Balrog win the tournament for free (Whupped me pretty bad too. Least I made it far I guess). This year I guess that everybody must have like the potential, and they decided to set up on a much grander scale, and nearly be separate events. Still have to deal with con people, so good luck lol.

Dude, these were pretty much the ONLY pro players that came! Of course they won everything.

WolfKrone is from Detroit and he didn't attend. And Sethlolol is from Warren and blew these guys up in LA a few weeks ago.

Not saying they aren't great, because they are. PR Rog is a personal fav. As well as Valle being a long time favorite. But there are plenty of other American players that can beat them regularly depending on the game.

So glad that a top Marvel player is giving Dr Strange some love - especially when it was painfully obivous that he has some great potential.

Probably my favourite character at the moment (bored of watching most of them at this point).

@31 Sethlolol was there, he just didn't place :\ Wolfkrone has been absent from the entire scene. He's expected to return at SF25 Championship.

And Youmacon was godlike. It wasn't the hugest tournament ever, but the convention itself makes up for it. So much more to do than just stay in the ballroom all weekend.
