I'm neither a big fan of Tekken or Mortal Kombat, but tournaments like MLG seem more the way to go if people really want to make a living as a pro-gamer. Makes me wonder why people like JWong; someone who is so talented in so many games; does not focus more on those games as opposed to Street Fighter and Marvel when the prize money he wins from those games probably just barely pays for his flight ticket/food/accommodation/etc. But not everyone is a JWong and not everyone else can win a tournament every other day, kind of makes me wonder how do the rest of those folks make a living really.
Too bad polish sponsors messed up (to put it lightly) and only one of their players will be attending from what I've heard. I'm not sure about Greece - they probably won't show up at all.
I'll watch YouMacon, but I'll also try to watch MLG and see if they have improved their format. But 5 minutes of fighting followed by 10 minutes of downtime really kills the hype for MLG.
