Capcom wants to see reaction to DLC characters in SFxT before deciding on adding more - Ono won't return as Street Fighter producer for 'a while'

I hope that the sale of these DLCs are shameful.

I seriously hope that the people who hate on this game day in and day out actually speak with their wallets on release of the characters.

They're still blind to the fact that we're not stupid, we know what they've done. But the sad part is Capcom don't care because at the end of the day, one or two or those 12 characters will catch the interest of 80% of us even with the knowledge of Disc "Locked" Content. So it's a win win for them seeing as how Sakura was my main character since SF Alpha. Anyone...fudge you Capcom for putting us in this predicament!

Why would they wait for a response? There was a response to these characters before the game even launched. I mean, they got extremely stingy with this game. Characters like Guy and Cody being announced in mid 2011 (with the second trailer) and end up being locked 1 year on as if they are DLC. Even then(!) who cares about this game? It's been dropped by so many people it's not even funny. Especially considering the sales were poor. So who is left? Only those that might want to mess around on the game and have some fun casuals but no "hardcore" players.

Not only that but lets say there are hardcore players left, I highly doubt they'd even buy these because tournaments don't allow for DLC/Lock characters. Why would you pay money and study a character if you can't use them in a tournament? We are talking about just under a quarter of the full roster here.

The game is dead, everyone loves to take the [urinal waste] out of this game and it's shunned by almost everyone.

Remember 4 months ago how we were all mega hyped for sfxt to the point of sticky underwear, who would've thought it's be possible to make such a mess of something.

This probably crippled sales, we may have bought the game as dedicated fighting game enthusiasts, but anyone who was on the fence about it was just one Google search away from finding an immense amount of bad press regarding this game.

Capcom, you did this to yourself, and it makes me sad to say so.

I really enjoy the game and I was planning on buying the Vita version since it would unlock the ps3 characters with it as well. But due to all the hate that the game has gotten, almost all of it deserved in regards to how Capcom has handled the game/milked consumers (the game itself is good IMO), I will not be purchasing the Vita version or the 12 characters.

All the hate has actually driven me away from a game I consider fun. And I can't blame the people...I fully blame Capcom.

Whether they're on the disk or no 20$ is still a great deal for 12 characters. Blazblue had 2 characters on the disk already and those were 5$ a piece.

Capcom delivers great games, and I am happy to pay for quality. Even if that quality is already on the disc I currently posses. The fact is, we're just pawns on a chess field. We're no kings, or queens, we're just pawns. And pawns are easily defeated and replaceable. So why should we worry about something we can't do anything about? Just play the game and enjoy it. And if you're one of the pawns that doesn't want to pay for these 12 characters, suit yourself. Just expand SFIV. It's the last good fighting game you've made since CvS2 back in 2000-2001. I don't particularly care for UMvC3, but I'd rather play that than SFxT. Add more characters/stages/balance changes to these 2 games, and hold off making original fighting games until you learn how to do it right again (like back in the day when just about every Capcom fighter was a treat).

Apparently, not many people have seen or heard of Ridge Racer on PS Vita. You only get 5 cars and 3 tracks for $30 (a full game but it's more like a demo) and rest of the content are on DLC (some are paid). Namco are good guys, right? LMFAO

I haven't even downloaded the patch they released on May 19th (my birthday HAH!). I've had no desire to play the game and I have no sense of excitement about the DLC characters now. The game itself is flawed so no matter how many characters they put in they too will be in a flawed game. A game that as of right now I have no interest in playing sadly. They want to see the reaction for the DLC characters? HOW ABOUT FIX THE GAME FIRST! Starting with the Rolento glitch. I mean how many people will actually buy the characters with the game in this state? Its like working on the body of a car when the motor's dead. We need a fixed game. Anyway I apologize for ranting, I just wanted this game to be really good. I don't hate Capcom its just.. aaaaargh :(

Capcom revealing the DLC sales figures? That would be interesting. So far, I haven't bought any of the paid DLC and the only paid DLC that I'm interested in is the DLC characters. But if I get the PS Vita version, the PS3 version of the DLC characters would be free so I may consider getting the PS Vita version.

At the moment, the game is pretty messed up, needs to be fixed soon. Capcom should've delayed the release of SFxT in order to fully test the game. When the DLC characters come out, bugs and glitches should be fixed by then, hopefully.

With the news filter thing, you'd think there would be more positive comments on SFxT related posts, but I guess people just love to hate on this game. Do all of us a favor who still like the game and plan on purchasing the DLC a favor and just remove it from your news filter please? 12 DLC (meaning "Disc Locked Characters")on the Disc ready to go is just a bad idea when these could of been free as 12 unlockable characters. I say this because a lot of those characters are not brand new at all-well especially the Street Fighter side. I already lost my hype and had not even got any of the DLC.

Forget about extra characters beyond the 12, not going to happen according to what he is saying. UMVC 3 sales proved they weren't going to add more characters. Capcom is looking for a sales number beyond their expectations before they decide to add more.

People still mad about this. Grow up and move on...

I honestly do no see it as you getting walked over if you have yet to buy the product or its DLC. I also do not think you are being walked over since they are not forcing you to buy any of it. You have done your part as the consumer so your role is finished. Complaints in this case so far are like raindrops hitting a person who just stepped out of a swimming pool...

But when and IF they decide that they will make the 12 characters on the disc free of charge... Only then has any progress has been made. It will take more than complaints on a FG website to make them see that you all mean business... You must strike the beast hard and heavy... Stop supporting the company in general... Not just the fighting game half of it... With enough money lost all around... They will be forced to listen if they wish for any profit to ever come their way again.... But you will actually have to mean what you say and back our actions up... Anything less than that makes anything said here a waste of time. Good luck guys.

That line freaking genius and I totally agree with what you're saying here. If people want Capcom to learn a lesson, then you'll have to do more than just swarm FG websites, Capcom related Facebook pages, etc. with complaints and what not...a portion of whom will probably buy the game and DLC despite all the crap they've been talking.

In the end, download them or just don't even bother with it. Choice is yours.

I didn't buy this game, nor will do it in the future at all. I don't like to compensate a company for its bad business, so I'll pass on any Capcom project that features any kind of On-Disk DLC for now.

If it was going to be DLC, it shouldn't be free. It wasn't free to pay the developers to make it. However, just making it regular DLC would've been a lot better. 12 characters for $20 is nothing in regards to actual bang for buck.

Last week - went over a friends house, and he had downloaded SFxT with all the characters.....I went home and sold my copy to the store...NOT because I wanted to download the game illegally, but because Capcom lied their a$$ over to the FGC.....I supported Capcom through the years, most recently with SF4, SSF4, SSF4:AE, MvC3, and UMvC3.. All these games had loads of DLC and I ended up paying about $200 for SF4 and all its reiterations (Super, and AE) with all the DLC costumes......F U Capcom, where's the f**king goodwill for all the loyal supporters over the years?? U guys (Capcom) put that DLC on the disc and knew it was complete, and then lied, big time!! Trying to make it appear that your working on it now, to coincide with the PS Vita launch...its done!!! I hope that this game does not survive the summer....its a broken game, Capcom lied to everyone, and there are other games like VF3:FS and TTT2 that are was better. FU Capcpm!!

SFxT just doesn't feel like a game the community wants to spend any more money on (and not simply based on the on-disk DLC). I know I won't be, and I really want to play Elena in a SF4-style game.

The thing is, if Capcom announced additional paid characters for SSF4:AE, I'd be pretty excited. I'm not justifying it, but it beats paying $80-$90 for a new cartridge every summer.

Save that $20 instead of buying DLC and put it towards one of the other fighting games coming out this year.

It's just straight wrong dude. All of the DLC SF characters except Elena were completely recycled/ rehashed from AE. Im pretty sure it took Capcom 10 minutes to edit their juggle properties and put them into SFXT. C'mon dude, It's not like we're missing out on anything special. Just release the damn characters now!

Release the 12 DLC characters for FREE; and if Capcom decides to make another set of DLC characters, then by all means they could charge for them then.

Hi, one of the people that love the game here. I am not hurting anything by buying what you feel is an inferior product. YOU are hurting it with all your bitching. I feel that the game is a great competitive game, anything that hasn't been working has been patched or is being patched. I don't see what the issue is, I will pay for all costumes and DLC characters because instead of just whining and crying about how it could have been free...I'm not a child and understand that not buying it won't change anything.

Capcom will make money despite your best efforts, the FGC is just a drop in the bucket for this company. Resident Evil 6 will be it's highest selling game EVER, and it will have on disk DLC, which I will pay for btw.

I got two xboxes (bed room/living room) so I will be shelling out $40 to capcom for SFXT DLC and like $80 to sega for Virtua Fighter 5 FS and all the DLC for each system. * trade in your copy of sf x tk
* stop searching sf x tk
* stop commenting on sf x tk

by following this quick guide u will eventually forget about the game and can get on with ur life. this will also allow people like myself to not be annoyed every time i read the comments cuz of all of the haters.

Street Fighter X Tekken is not better than SF4 AE. Capcom should take the new Street fighter DLC characters from SxT and put them for DLC in AE and add some new stages. They'll make ALOT more money doing that then trying to sell character's that are already on the disc on a mediocre game. TRUTH.
