To finish things off, On June 4th (Japan Time) E3 will begin. E3 is the largest convention for gaming in America. It's essentially the global version of Tokyo Game Show.
The Street Fighter X Tekken team has been very busy preparing for this event. The contents of the booth, you say...? That's a big secret. I'm getting excited waiting for the rumors to fly!
I'll also be there in-person at E3, so if you happen to catch me there be sure to say hello.
So with that this week's blog is concluded! Since I will be in America next week, I'll update the blog from there. I know the time difference will be tough, but please tough it out. Please wait for next week's blog!
Maybe they should focus on removing gamebreaking bugs before worrying about $18 costume packs.
Hey i will be there too(REALLY) I'll will be the one giving a great big fat BOOO in the crowd(well maybe a little one so i dnt get caught).
btw
sigh: so 1 color pack........................Ha
The costumes are also coming on june 5th ????
are those the alternate costumes or what ??
$18 for costumes is being discussed early, but you can't even fix glitches that further destroy your game's integrity? Love the priorities.
Street Fighter X Tekken has NO big secrets we already know about patches and those 12 Disc locked characters....duh. There's pretty much no more surprises beyond there and you can't expect more actual dlc characters either beyond the 12.
If the rumors are correct, the "big secret" is no other than Darkstalkers 4 considering Ono and his team wanted to do it. That would make sense for a "big Secret" reveal. If it's anything minor considering SFxT is not worth waiting for.
Prepare for your BIG Disappointments lol!
It would be funny that they say the big secret is that they were trolling people all along about the 12 DLC characters. It turns out they make them free, and their excuse is they just wanted to see fan reaction lol.
@SirVH
Man what an expensive game ): So far I haven't purchase any DLC (:
Ive always been a reader on eventhubs, but tbh I'm sick and tired of all the people who b***h and moan about a game and its dlc. you don't have to buy it, thats why its optional. In most fighting games years back you never got new costumes and its not even like they are asking a lot for them. 80mp is what £0.60. How do you expect them to keep creating games if they cant make the money. Also why is it that only Capcom seems to get this rant off everyone. Soul calibur 5, has dlc no one complains, just go "yeah its good and looks cool" dont complain about paying. Same will be with TTT2. So guys stop joining the f*****g band wagon and being sheeps. Yes the game has bugs at the moment. Which they have already said they are trying to fix. They can't just pull it out there a**e and say here you go. Think about it and stop criticizing companies for their games. I'd love to see one you have made.
^
It's idiots like you that don't even understand the problem, the problem is not about dlc as optional purchase or not, the problem is the developers deliberately cut parts of the game to make it dlc, where do you draw the line? How big of a portion of the game can you cut to make it dlc? 12 characters is ok for dlc, and 20 is not? Where does this leads in the future? 50 characters as dlc? This is the main problem, yes we have an option to purchase the dlc or not, but we don;t have the option to know how big of a portion this dlc gonna be.
@SuperStraightFighter
If you really think that a game is gonna have 50 dlc fighters your probably gonna expect them to let you play 4 and pay for rest? that is not gonna happen. But you cannot say that they deliberately cut it from the game. Do you really think they are sitting behind a desk going "lets piss the players off and cut these so they have to pay mwahahahahahaha". I will admit that anything over 15 dlc characters to pay for is a touch too much. Plus your last statement makes no sense "we dont have the option to know how big of a portion this dlc gonna be". Why would they even give you an option to know, that breaks their terms in which they cannot give away details unless told they can. So please give it a rest.
I'd really like them to just rework the game a bit. It's fun as it is, but it gets pretty damn exposed at high level play.
Truthfully, I'd rather have more characters in UMvC3. Really hope that team's working on the new Darkstalkers and not SFxTk team.
^ not sure what team is making it, but I heard they are using the same engine as SFxT
Oh...everybody knows what its its SXT Xtrume S(froms$%%) edition ...
I only use SFxT for Scramble mode these days so the DLC isn't worth it for me.
@37
Damn, I forgot about that. Such a shame.
MvC3 has a pretty nice looking engine. Don't want the Darkstalkers cast to look like the hambeasts in SFIV.
they are just going to tell fans that the timer has been fix and the 12 characters are coming in aug/sept, instead of oct.
bottom line is this.
time extened
character buffs and nerfs
something extra make it seem like they give a D@@
earily release of characters
@34
Again you completely missed my point, my point is where do you draw the line? How big of a portion are the developers able to cut? No one knows what the future holds, right now it doesn't look too bright for gaming industry. Why would they even give you option to know? lol did you seriously asked that, I don't know because we are the bloody customer and paying it here? lol use your brain?
@34
Oh btw I actually do think they sit behind a desk and actually discuss which characters to cut to make dlc, you would be a fool to think otherwise.
@31
Soul Calibur V paid DLC is just music and clothes, not essential parts of the game also the DLC chars for TTT2 are all free.
@31
You need to look at things from multiple angles, your opinion of more than 15 dlc chars is too much really don't matter much, it is Capcom to decide how many there are, which is the whole point of my arguement, where do you draw the line? 15 dlcs chars might be too much for you, some would accept 20 dlcs... who knows, that's your personal preference. You still don't know what the problem is and why everyone is complaining about dlcs.
@31
Here is a simple logc for you.
Capcom made sfxt with 12 chars.
Customers with your mentality: hey 12 chars as dlc are acceptable, I'm fine with that, here is my money.
Capcom: Profit for 12 dlcs look good, as a company trying to maximize profit like any other business, what should be my next logical step to gain profit further? Hey 12 dlcs makes profit, how about we push for 13, 14, 15? Next game comes out, bam 15 dlc chars.
Customers: RAPED in the long run.
So are you gona speak with your wallet and stop Capcom's bad business practice when there are 12 dlc chars, or are you gona voice your opinion when there is actually 20 dlc chars lol?
#31
clearly doesnt understand
#43
iknow right. it was clearly shown that they do when they showed guy and cody in the second trailer a year ago. which tells fans that they decided that they was cutting characters from the start of development..the Bast@@@
Stfu retards. Move on with your lives. Nobody gives any thought or concern to what u say in threads. I have a ton of friends that do not even know or care about these forums. They love the game. You are stupid for spouting off like anyone cares what you have say. I'll buy the characters, so will a crap ton of others.
Thanks to Capcom for making a game I always wanted to see. You scrubs suck, want to know how I know you crap talkers suck ass? Bcuz when I look at the rankings there are a crap ton of players enjoying this game.
Thank you Capcom, ill have another.
Oh please be Darkstalkers 4! Or More Characters for UMVC3!
Oh maybe more characters for SF x TK besides the 12 characters
Just checked my friends list and SFxT is the most played game so the rumor of its death has been greatly exxagerated.
Kidding aside, the logic of my statement above is just as flawed as HolyGhost's.
@48
I guess Capcom made the 'right' game for you lol, good for you. Aren't you the same guy writting apology letter 'on behalf' of the fgc regarding dlc entitlement? Yea sales don't speak much, your friendlist clearly does, it really bothers me how your logic works...
@ 48.
I didn't buy SFxT. I won't be buying SFxT, DLC or otherwise.
Just keep bending over and allowing Capcom to insert it in you. There are people out there like me who do have the willpower to say no with their wallets, unlike some people apparently.
If you had willpower like you claimed, you wouldn't constantly be bleating the same nonsense every time a SFxT post comes up.
If you don't like, own, or plan on buying the game, why not just go somewhere else. We get it already. For the 800th time, we get it. Move on.
#58
why dont you move on and stop commenting on every sf x tk dlc topic that comes up. you clearly know what your getting your self into everytime you push click. so admit it to yourself that your just a troll looking for attenion son.
Seriously, people. Why are you all having the SAME damn conversation AGAIN that doesn't lead us ANYWHERE?
"It's not terrible, who cares about DLC on disc it doesn't matter blah blah"
"Hey ballface, it does matter, they cut parts of the game, blah blah, Ono is a money-hungry villain, blah blah"
"SFxT is terrible, it will most propably also mean that Darkstalkers 4 is terrible so please, do not make that game. I totally don't know how to use the EventHubs filter"
"We already know about the 12 DLC characters, I bet they are announcing THEM, although they did already officially announce them via the cinematic Vita trailers, oh boy I'm stupid"
@58
People are complaining about unfair business practices. And it appears to be working due to initial sales of SFxT. If anything they are invoking change and if the word spreads Capcom has to do something about it eventually if they don't want to see their stocks drop
@65
Yet another idiot who doesn't know what the problem is... sigh. It's not about the cost, it's about their business practice, Atari games used to cost alot because that's all we got, it was the 'new' technology. Are you seriously comparing old days currency worth to present days? And you are telling people to get a job lol? Maybe you should finish school first boy.
@44 Looks like I caught one person out. Your telling me that its ok for SC5 to sell costumes and music for money, and just say "its not essential". But when Capcom does it "OMG THEY RIP ME OFF".
@SuperStraightFighter
it seems that its the players mentality. You can have all the fun you like ripping on the game, because thats what your mentality is. All you want to do is make this game burn and die. It also lowers peoples opinions of you to keep on bitching and calling others names like a little boy. Also to your response at @65 get off your high horse no one gives a crap what you say, and perhaps just perhaps, finish your primary school before posting. Thank you Much Love.
Final words on this topic. I agree with the guy in @44 about TTT2 giving away the characters for free. That is how it should be. What annoys me most is the players who complain about having to pay for costumes. You don't need to and if you don't want to, keep it to yourselves. Dont come on a thread saying "duh I never bought and won't buy huehuehue".
What Capcom could do is release a new online mode. Essentially no gems, no pandora, and a timer that moves slightly slower. They could call it like pro mode or elite mode or expert mode or hardcore mode something like that.
@bloodraven and @48
A thief stealing everything from my house
And you are blaming me ''Thief is cool, you should have locked your door''
Lets say you are a Tekken fan and you are waiting for TTT2.
You know they made over 50 characters.
Then you are buying the game.
You are playing the game but there is only 30 characters there but others will be DLC with 10+10+10+10 characters by every month.
Each for 5$
10 characters for 5$ is cool,right?
Basicly they sell you a 60$ game to 80$
Dont you believe us?
Just look at one of the Capcom's last game ASURA'S WRATH DLC.
Do you remember Devil May Cry4?
If it was today Capcom would cut the ''Dante'' parts of the game and sell it as DLC.
Do you guys want that future?
If not, join us.
The brotherhood of FGC
Who cares about DLC? Honestly you are sound like children, the game still sold a ton of copies and they made decent profit and people still buy the DLC. They don't care if you bitch about it if they still make money. The DLC isn't going to stop, capcom has always been a lazy and money hungry company that reuses in game resources and charges full price for them. They don't just do it with street fighter, they also do it with monster hunter. News flash the newest monster hunter banged out 5 million sales in Japan and korea alone. You guys bitched about them releasing full disc updates like ssf4 and umvc3. Did you honestly think they would try to please you and lose out on money. This is there way of making the money they would have lost from not doing SSFXT. The problem with this game and recent capcom releases is not the DLC. It's the games themselves. SFXT is a glitchy, poorly balanced, poorly tested, boring, scrubby game. Even the netcode is bad and if you're on xbox you get much less features. This is the problem, this is what you should be complaining about. The poorly quality of the game itself. Who cares if you have to pay $100 for a great fighting game. If you are on this website chances are you want to play competitively. $100 for the hundreds maybe thousands of hours you're going to put into the game is nothing. So just accept that dlc scams are the future. Also paying $60 may seem like a lot to you because you probably try to buy and be good at every fighter ever. How about you focus on a few?
@bloodraven
I actually look at the situation in multiple angles, I actually provided a simple logic or situation if you will, if you actually read my post #46, you on the other hand provided nothing to the argument, just read your comment, I don't believe that's something written by a mature adult. Read my comment #45 and 46 then argue against that, also you are still missing the whole point, I hold no grudge against this game since it is only the product, the problem is at Capcom's end. Seriously you've made numerous post yet you still don't know why people complaining about dlcs? Try again please.
Apparently, not many people have seen or heard of Ridge Racer on PS Vita. You only get 5 cars and 3 tracks for $30 (a full game but it's more like a demo) and rest of the content are on DLC (some are paid). Good thing that some of those haters are NOT active members of the police force. If they were, then they'll be letting criminals get away with everything LMFAO. Keep crying hahaha.
@73
The game is made by Capcom, ultimately that's where the root of problem is, why do you think those issues exist within the game in the first place? Three words, bad business practice, they don't test the game, they code it with full of glitches, they don't tell customers before hand, you name it. I don't hope Capcom fall, I hope they learn from their mistakes and don't screw us over thinking we are mindless sheep that's all.
@78
39 yrs old and you came up with a comment like #65? 39 yr old and still don't know how the real world works or economy works? 39 yr old and still comparing the pricing of an Atari game to a modern day game lol? I'm not trying to get opinions, I actually look at the situation from multiple angles if you actually read my comments. You logic is so flawed for a 39yr old its unbelievable.
