Updated: It was confirmed on NeoGaf that Skullgirls would be released on the PlayStation Network on April 10, 2012.Fake thread, it's almost April Fools day. Anything posted online in April Fools day is fake, even if there are pics and it did happen.
If you know Ravidrath then you know he's not joking, besides it's not even April 1st yet.
Nice. Another fighter I will have to learn from scratch amongst the many other fighters I haven't mastered yet. There's no way I'm turning down a fighting game brand new for 15$. I haven't even seen a whole lot of gameplay. What I have seen looks absolutely retarded. Which is why I have to have it.

It was mentioned that they may do a STEAM addition as well sometime after game release since they were eager to get this into pc market as well and want to see how sales go on console versions
fair price for a solid fighting game thats gonna get future support post release so yeah sold but i guess that dismisses that 4/4/2012 rumor oh well won't kill me to wait for another week i mean i waited months after delay
@14
What kind of future support? That's just icing on the cake, baby.

No PC, all PC gamers pirate, who wants to develop for a platform where everyone is a pirate?
PC version in digital plataforms is already "confirmed". Autum games has been anounced has one of Origins publishers. They got a deal with Steam also. If you can, buy the game on any console. If the game does well we will definitely see skullgirls on pc.

They mentioned periodic dlc characters which was expected; but other game modes may be a possibility (think hero and heralds for umvc3), fan art may be implemented into the game through a gallery mode, and of course the likely game patches to fix any stray bugs on release. And various additions toward the online play.
Also heard of a gender bender rumor where you can play your character in the opposite sex (think as a alternate costume)
The Gender Bender rumor is probably because of the recent spurt of rule 63 art they've been posting. I highly doubt they'd do that as the work would be astronomical (equivalent to basically creating a whole new character since unlike SF4 and other 3D fighting games they can't just make a new model and slap on the old move set. They'd have to redraw every single frame of animation since its 2D hand drawn art.

OK screw the PC version, who cares about that piece of crap. :P It's coming on my fav handheld of all times Neo Geo Pocket Color. :D Can't wait to buy it!

this is the type of game that everyone gets really hype for and then it has a ridiculously tiny population because it's too hard for all these lurkers that say they want good fighting games.
@33
It's true, the game won't have too large a following of serious players since it's meant for a fairly niche crowd. Think like Blazblue or Melty Blood.
But then again, Mike Z and co. aren't expecting Street Fighter levels of popularity anyway so it's not like this is entirely a BAD thing, y'know?
@35
Yea I know. I mean I don't think it's a bad thing. I do wish games like BB/MB/etc. would get more players though because I think they deserve it but it's just reality I guess. Most people don't have fun being challenged that much sadly. SG is gonna be great regardless.
ya MB is my favorite fighting game unfortunately most people havnt even heard of it aoka4life.
I'm extremely excited. 20 bucks have been sitting in my account for 2 and a half weeks waiting for this game. :)
My fingers are ready.
Sorry that was terrible.
Just take my money.. all of it.
@37
Well like I mentioned before, I think part of it is just the fact that they have a niche theme. It's easier for fighting games with more traditional martial artists or "bad asses" and whatnot like Tekken and SF to gather a wider audience than it is for games like BB and MB that are extremely anime inspired, for example.
Looks good but it's pretty much a fan service game.
