Why wouldn't they be priced reasonably? I mean the characters will most likely be the standard price, overcharging for costumes would be ridiculously retarded.

Yet most of you would still lap it up.

Costumes? No. They've always been the money makers in any type of game. Characters are a different story because they actually have an impact on gameplay. One could EASILY go without buying costumes. In fact anyone freaking that these cost money and what not, should just stop where they are.

$38 for it all, then $38 for more if you also want the second costumes for them all. Then if you want get the DLC characters that will be priced absurdly no doubt and then you gotta pay $24 for both costumes for them and then if you want colors you who knows how much more that will cost.

Capcom has planned this so well and so filled with greed that they will make 3x the games cost with DLC alone.

@3

Get your nose out of Capcom's dirty buttcrack.

Regardless of whether you like the game or not, Capcom's way of selling unlock codes for content is in no way beneficial to us. $1 per costume sounds reasonable until you realize that's almost $40 for the entire cast.

Namco's fighting games (Tekken, SC) comes loaded with 2 costumes per character by default with tons of customization options. That costs us $0 extra.

In SxT, we get two color options (WTF, even SF4 had 10 colors) and a piss-poor color palette to create custom colors schemes. They will release color packs (I mean unlock) weeks and months down the road when it's already on the disc.

I'm sorry, but Tekken 6 had way more bang for the buck compared to this game. This game would be comparable if all the content (which is already ready) was available at launch.

I love playing this game, but thinking about paying at least $20 more to unlock a reasonable amount of content makes me pissed.

#22
ElHiznahn said on March 14, 2012 at 4:52 p.m.

LOL at you brainwashed sheepletards who think this is a "good" deal. Capcom's been selling you overpriced unlock codes for at least three years, long enough for you to think paying for something that's already in your possession is okay.

Stay tardy, boys.

#23
akumous said on March 14, 2012 at 4:56 p.m.

A dollar each huh..there are 50 characters in the game and each has 2 alternative costumes so that's $100.00 for a hundred costumes. So far the game cost $160.00 with all the costumes unlocked off the disc. I can't wait to see how much the extra characters cost, probably $2.00 each.

Exand said on March 14, 2012 at 4:58 p.m.

As long as they have a package deal at the same time to make getting them all cheaper, this isn't a bad deal especially if you're only picking costumes up for a couple of characters.

If there is no package deal though, ouch, $38 for the entire cast?

Brainwashed or just not as pessimistic as some people?

In reality, people only have a few characters they like to play constantly and use costumes for. The fact that costumes were sold in packs was the downfall in the SF4 series since people were always forced to pay for some costumes they didn't really need. In this perspective, individual costumes are a good thing, and they aren't terribly overpriced for being individual costumes either.

You guys really can't assume that they're going to force you to buy 38 individual costumes separately for $1 each right? I think looking at the SF4 series and common sense implies that they are going to release costume packs at a discounted price for those that want all the costumes, no matter how greedy Capcom seems to be.

2 alts per character, gonna cost around $100. Wow, Capcom, musta cost you guys a whole lotta money to make those SUPER DETAILED costumes that other 3D fighters come with by default. I wonder how much the colors will be.

#40
BLAFY said on March 14, 2012 at 5:12 p.m.

DAMN that is $50 if you by them one by one

Also is this just for one costume or both, because if its just for one and not for both then its $100. I hope they have a pack later because that is crazy. You know a couple of people will buy them one by one or just a couple when a pack would have been cheaper.

Damn

$60 - game

$50 (or $100) - alts

so far you may pay $110 (or $160)

BUT WAIT we didnt even get to the DLC characters yet my nxgga!NO ONE knows how much they will cost, and they also have 2 costumes each.

so thats an extra $12 (or $24)
so later you just paid $122 (or $184)
[YOU BASICALLY JUST BOUGHT THE VITA]

RedRapperSux said on March 14, 2012 at 5:12 p.m.

#42
JustIceRei said on March 14, 2012 at 5:16 p.m.

XBL's values will probably be 80 MP for each costume, which is a dollar in XBL translation. You can't just get 80 MP though, so you might still need to get 5 dollars in MP and pick the five you want, which might not be such a bad idea in the long run of things. To be fair, each character has 2 alts.

As it is I'm sure they will state that you don't have to buy them all. Yada Yada Yadqa. etc etc etc

All I know is that I did the same thing in SF4. I
only wanted certain characters DLC alts. but I had to buy the whole pack. I don't recall the prices. Where they $5 per pack or something? I might get the alts for my favirtes which still a long list considering.

Asuka, Xioa, Law, Paul, Julia, Nina, Lei, Christie, Bryan, Steve, and King That's still $22 plus the DLC Charaters All the tekken castwhich will be $5 each according to the rate of MVC3 Jill etc. That's another $30 on top of that. Still not pleased by the way capcom handled things and They seem to be trying to cover their tracks

SeoulZombie said on March 14, 2012 at 5:27 p.m.

Everyone complaining $38 for the whole cast needs to calm down. They will probably, like every other game game (SF4, MvC3, etc), release a discounted pack for the whole cast. People complain about stuff before they even know the all of the facts. It's ridiculous.

#54
Azure_Dauragon said on March 14, 2012 at 5:27 p.m.

@6 I disagree. just because its something that is done often does not make it "ok". Besides it appears as if the Costumed and the colour are also on the disk, may be mistaken correct me if am wrong. If that is so then all their talk of "we will eb supporting this game with DLC along the way for a good span of time" is just content on the disk that some is given out for free to "hey they given us free stuff" and other is "hey funny stuff" that all were in, so they just time unlocking items on the Networks.

i would be even more pissed if those chars were all complete. but oh well. 1 dollar per costume does seem steep considering the cast size and number of costumes, better wait for bundles and wutnot. ofc no one forces you to buy all of them (which techinaly we should not, and i wont)

#55
Soultrigger said on March 14, 2012 at 5:31 p.m.

The people who are trying to pull big numbers are just sad.
Are you seriously playing every character? No? Then don't buy all of them! Seriously, and if you REALLY want a complete collection, just wait for the value pack.

At this point, you're just whining for the sake of whining.

I'm willing to bet a full costume pack will be released and it it will be discounted, people just need something to complain about. I'm buying Guy's hugos and probably kuma's only because kuma's is awesome.its one dollar per costume, and they can be purchased individually, to complain about this is nit picking.

#61
SuperStraightFighter said on March 14, 2012 at 5:38 p.m.

@56

Some people actually like to unlock everything in the game, you know the purist or the completionist, and they are loyal fans let me tell you that, why would you think no one plays every character? thats your assumption, I play every character in AE and I will probably own your sorry a$$ with random anyday, but thats another topic. The fact the costumes, which is only a small part of dlcs to come, cost this much all together is rediculous.

#62

ummm are you guys idiots? The total cost for all the costumes is 50$ that is NOT a good price.

#63
OvrZealous said on March 14, 2012 at 5:40 p.m.

Might seem like a GREAT deal because you can buy individual costumes at 1$ a piece but the fact that they're on disc already and all your buying is an "un-lock" code for information that is already in your possession(that's been locked away so you can't use for free), then it just stops being a GREAT deal.

Anyone who thinks this is a good deal, no matter the price, is just being delusional. Having to pay for On Disc DLC never is.

I don't get why some people are crying over $38 for costumes. Who the hell buys costumes for characters they don't play? Plus it's individual, so you don't have to spend $5 for a pack of costumes just to get one character's stuff. I believe people are crying just for the sake of complaining, or just mad they have to ask their parents for money to buy DLC.

#71
Kaiyuss said on March 14, 2012 at 5:56 p.m.

SFxTK must be one of the most expensive game ever created. They had to build that graphics engine, and all dem (SF) models from the ground up. Now I see why they think all the content on the disc is worth over $200.
Game: $60
2 Alts: $100
Extra Gems: $?
Quick Combos: $?
Colors: $?
Extra characters: $? (didn't Sony pay for exclusivity? So we pay on top of that?)

Well my problem has never been costumes. I still only bought a couple costume packs for UMvC3 and thats it. I pesonally think all the costumes in sfxt suck in concept and design and I will not be buying any of them. The Colors just better be free.

My biggest problem is the DLC for the extra characters. We know they will charge us for it and im very sad at this practice of content on disc already paied for. If there is any reason to rage it's because of that. Screw the costumes.

#74
SnakeX said on March 14, 2012 at 6:05 p.m.

1 dollar per costume is a great deal. Ask yourself, why do you need to get the costumes for all of the characters? And who's to say they won't do an entire pack either?

I swear, some of you just want to cry about everything. If the price bothers you (lol) that much, just don't pay. It's not a hard concept.

#75
streetfighter_x_tekken said on March 14, 2012 at 6:07 p.m.

OK, let's get it right everybody!

It's great that we can purchase each individual costume instead of packs like SSF4.

I will buy 2 or 3 for now for my main characters.
I will surely buy the later the ALL Costume Pack because i'm sure it will be like 20 bucks or so. I don't know how many will by them all individually instead of waiting to get the All Pack.

I don't know about you guys but I don't buy so many games per year, it's somewhere around 6.
The cost of additional content for this game I can afford.

#76
SuperStraightFighter said on March 14, 2012 at 6:08 p.m.

@illness690

My question to you is, say for example if you bought the complete costume pack for $50 because you are such a loyal fan, and I bought the same complete pack later, say after 2 yrs for $30, what disadvantage did Capcom reward loyal fans such as you with the $50 prcie tag of theirs, is it because you get to access these costumes only and play dress ups even though it changes nothing in game play. I mean what rewards did Capcom give to these 'early birds' loyal brain washed fans by having this dlcs early? You think Capcom cares if you can enjoy these costume early after your payment is made? Oh guess where your money gona go, the next half a$$ed game with tones of glitches just like this game.

It isn't, the truth is, it is 1$ per costume, you get to pick and choose what costumes you want, it is a good price considering, and costumes have no effect on game play...so it doesn't really matter that it is DLC.

I dont know why gaming communities in general think there is a reason to crying to this extent, its ridiculous...

GW said on March 14, 2012 at 6:25 p.m.

@72 Why would you buy alts for the whole cast? Wouldn't you just buy it for your 2 or 4 main characters if they look good? People complained about the costumes being in bundles and now when they give you singles people complain, there is no pleasing you people.

Why would you buy extra gems anyway? Unless you're doing really bad in the game and need as much help as you can get.
Training mode > Buying new gems

SF x T came with 38 characters excluding the bonus characters and added up it comes to more characters then the whole SF4 series which had 2 extra paid updates with a total of 39. SF x T will add 12 characters + fixing bugs and balances in their next iteration which as a lot more than SF4 so stop complaining.

Anyone who buys a quick combo is just retarded, they shouldn't even be in the game.

No other Capcom game has customization, at least we are getting the option and no one is asking you to pay, just stick with normal colours then.

#86
maxs2d2ace said on March 14, 2012 at 6:27 p.m.

well if this turns out to be true, at least you dont have to spend 3.99 per pack to get that 1 costume you what out of the whole pack. but it sucks for all the people that want every characters costumes cause now you will be spending over 50$ for the whole cast of characters(including the 12 fighters on disk). and how is 38 resonable? thats the cost of a cheap game. and dont forget that their are 2 alts found on the disk so thats another 50$ for the whole cast. all the other capcom costume packs cost 20$ if you wait to get the entire bundle pack. i still think this is a better move though.but they need a bundle deal for the whole cast too.

#87
SuperStraightFighter said on March 14, 2012 at 6:29 p.m.

@86

You dont see any problem from your statement, basically you are saying th egame will cost differently for different people with different skill levels, low skill players will need to pay more for extra gems to help their game? I mean Capcom'm mentality is you improve your game by spending money? Because thats what you just assumed right?

#88
BushinryuBro5 said on March 14, 2012 at 6:32 p.m.

It's still a bad deal in the long run. Can't you people realize that its already on the dang disc? I am still mad about the 12 characters... Capcom keeps doing this because they know you will buy it.

#89
SuperStraightFighter said on March 14, 2012 at 6:33 p.m.

Also the game has more roster than SFIV because it is a f345Ken cross over game, as in sf x tekken, not just sf, '+ fixing bugs and balances in their next iteration which as a lot more than SF4 so stop complaining', thats what you just said, how does it add anything more than SFIV? 2012 is free right? The best it can get is equal but add more? can you explain that?

Do you really think people who suck at the game will buy more gems and more products? It's either you suck at the game and drop it sooner or later so why would you buy extra content or you actually put in the effort to get better and those who put in the effort wont need the gems. The people who suck and just buy the gems regardless are just rich so let them be stupid and spend their money but they aren't forcing anyone to buy them. They probably wont even know the difference let alone want to spend that money on gems. Also how big a difference would dlc gems be? I doubt there would be a very substantial difference.

At the rate of 1$ each costume to have every costume alone would equal to more in cost than going and buying a second copy of the game. WITHOUT buying any of the additional characters, colors, combo things, etc.

Anyone who is happy with this pricing and with this method is an idiot.

This is bad, stop defending it. Capcom needs to learn that you have to lose money to make money. Consumer happiness is more important than money sometimes.

'Why would you buy extra gems anyway? Unless you're doing really bad in the game and need as much help as you can get.'

This is what you said, I quoted exactly what you said, in short why buy gems, unless you doing bad, meaning gems are still considered an option for people with less skills right?

MVC3 had 37 not including the 2 dlcs. SFxT has 39 + bonus characters for Ps3 which is already more than that. The whole thing in general is a lot more than sf not just the fixing bugs and balance, there is a + sign for a reason and 2012 is free but after 4 years of complaining? Wait 4 years and SFxT will have a 2016 version free.

If you absolutely HAVE to have every costume then that's more your problem than Capcom's.
