YESSSSS but at the same time NOOOOOOO. I need more time with my new games. Soul Calibur V and Street Fighter X Tekken are still pretty dang new. FIGHTING OVERLOAD. :I
I'm a bit worried about 2 player online with no mention of lobbies...
Kind of a deal breaker for me since I have 4 friends who like to play fighting games at once.
lol Pain cock, that picture was something I couldn't unsee
@ButterKnife
Yeah it's already been confirmed the game won't launch with lobbies for multiple people, but apparently they're working to patch that in at a later time...
Indie companies can make online 2-player co-op, but Capcom can't. ^_^
It's probably worth mentioning that Fez was also recently given a release date on XBLA, and when asked the developer said it was a random made up placeholder date. Release dates for XBLA games seem to usually get decided only a few weeks before release.
I feel like I've been waiting for this game for ages. I'm hoping this really is the release date.
ALL of you should get on SFXT and forget about skullgirls. Seriously.
@26 it doesn't even matter. The people that wanted this game are going to buy it regardless of it being released close to SC5, and Rolento X tekken.
Hell I plan on trading in my SFXT as soon as I get my hands on this game.
yea lets get on sf x tekken when online so enjoyable right now. i mean wow its totally awesome that it takes people 5 minutes to get into a single rank match. oh yea how about those sound effects and online glitches huh? its soo great >__>.
lol just get both... Street fighter x tekken is a good game if you overlook the bad marketing schemes on capcom part. Skullgirls is interesting and looks fresh and has a lot of positives like nicely drawn art, creative animation frames, and cool toolsets for each character. ok 8 characters on launch for an indy title is not horrible especially since each character seems to be crafted with excessive detail and didn't a lot of fighting game series games in the past start with small roster? lol how we tend to forget.. and DLC is already confirmed for more characters obvious from the empty roster slots. posts like #27 and #32 are clearly shallow minded individuals who would not leave their comfort zones of games their used to and would halt the advances of the fgc
@36
leave there comfort zones? I own and play every and all fighting games. Street fighter, mortal kombat, blazblue, mvc, soul calibur, tekken, KOF, DOA. So dont go blabbing about your opinion of peoples comfort zones when you have no idea who you are talking about. Keep your judgmental comments to yourself.
@38
calm down sunshine. if you want to waste your money, go for it. But I can tell you now, skullgirls will last a couple of weeks and die out. Youll be sorry you even paid for it.
@3 it has been confirmed that this game will have no lobbies since the developers couldn't get it working in time.
@39 I didn't sit around moping about my last order to Papa John's, and Skullgirls will probably cost less than that. Let's hear some of the other goofy reasons not to try this game:
"It won't help me pay my taxes in April." -- Yep. that's true.
"It's made in America." -- American startups are stealing our jobs!
"It has the boobs in it." -- OMG!!!!
Btw, did you guys know that the promo poster up there is composed almost entirely of in-game sprites? Pret-ty cool.
@ Snivy
Let me put it another way:
For a small startup company with no previously established IP's under their belt, that amount of support is a big deal. That and the positive feedback from those within the FGC who HAVE ACTUALLY PLAYED game, myself included.
I'm not going to be naive and say it will outdo your average Capcom game numbers wise, again because Reverge is tiny and doesn't have the finance or resources to do that. But there's enough of a following behind it that it will grow within its own sector of the community and be a successful venture in it's own right for the group of people who made it.
And quite frankly, I would think that with a name like "SNIVY", you would know a thing or two about supporting a game that other people unjustly hate on.
@47
"cant put arguments till end?"
oh lol, we were supposed to be arguing? If your going to turn everything into an argument, you must have one pretty sad life son. You do what you want but I know that you'll regret buying it after trying it out.
So long.
