UltraChenTV is back tonight with another episode of their Tuesday Night joint show. UltraDavid and James Chen gather together tonight to discuss the latest happenings and sexism in the fighting game community.
lets keep beating a non-existent horse so we can feel progressive and enlightened.
How to internet troll like a 10 year.
Rule#1 When someone says something you disagree, call them a homo.
Very interesting. I hope they achieve this because there alot of kiddies that could learn a thing our two here.
@#6 & #8 unfortunately not everyones as mature as you guys, sometimes you've got allow them time to grow up ha
I'm all down for helping women get into games and stuff but People need to stop acting like they are so appalled. This side had an interview with burn your bra and the community didn't say crap. Now some hot chick gets treated badly and everyone has something to say. We do need to treat women better but we also need to stop excusing their skill just because they are pretty
@14
If you watched the stream when UMvC3 was launched there was a girl who was going good and got pretty far, she lost to Fchamp but so do a lot of people. She was cute (not hot) so she gets no air time and thats what I think is part of the problem (everyone did treat her well). We have players like Choco Blanka and stuff but the real reason they are getting any attention is because they are hot. Until we start letting women get popular by their skill instead of their looks then we will not get very far.
@16
Yeah, I hate how Marn gets all that air time just because he's a hot piece of ass.
@13
Smart comments. Ugh, no, not really.
I (and many others) did comment when the "Burn your bra" incident came to light. That was also completely wrong! It probably received less press because it wasn't as heavily watched as Cross Assult.
More ppl = More outrage!
"Now some hot chick". Is Miranda hot? I personally don't find her attractive in the slightest. But that doesn't change the FACT that what happened to her was WRONG!
Wake up pea brain.
@3 When issues arise in your community and you hold forum to discuss them in a civilized manor, that is progressive. smh
As much as you may dislike #3 comment he has a point.
I come from a quake background and am new to FGC so forgive me, but it always seems to me that women go out of their way to create the barriers. Female only tournaments, all girl clans etc.
Lets face it, most women gamers choose names that make sure you are aware they are female. Why? If they were just playing to enjoy the game they wouldnt need to do that, they do it for the attention that being female gets them.
Personally i am tired of communities giving girls the attention and special treatment, if you enjoy the game play it, if you dont..dont? If you are good, let your results speak for themselves.
And fighting games shouldnt be played on PC's, 'for real'
@18
First off there is no need to talk mess when proving a point. The Burn Your Bra thing had almost no (if any) outrage or problems from the community. Second who do you think is more attractive of the two "pea brain" because if you sit and think about it if it was a guy playing with her amount of skill he wouldnt be there. Now if you dont like girls thats cool but no need to cut her down even more she has been through enough.
For the love of God, why r ppl still arguing?! Hulk mad! Hulk Smash Aris!!!!

"The Burn Your Bra thing had almost no (if any) outrage or problems from the community."
That's not true. There was a lot of discussion surrounding this issue (a lot of comments/descussions on FG sites/forums; It was discussed on CrossCounter etc.).
@25
Lol, I'm not cutting her down! You imply that the only reason anyone cares is because "she's hot", your words, not mine.
I'm saying that while I don't find her attractive I still care for her feelings and rights as a human being!
"Hot Chick" has NOTHING to do with the issue! Now do you understand?
@28
Ok then give me one example of a good female player who is known for her skill and isnt attractive. I am not saying she deserved anything that happened to her, what I am saying is I dont believe all these people who say they care really do.
@27
Yea there was a little talk but it was over in a day or two, how long has it been since this one happened? I mean all the other sites talking about it now, crap on Kotaku all I am saying is if this really meant this much to that many people they would have said something then. I think most of them are just talking and not much else
@29
Hey bro, I can't control what you believe and what you don't, but believe this....
I care about both issues. If this crap was going on in front of me I wouldn't feel shy about telling these dudes to STFU!
White Knight? Whatever. I'm a normal person. And I just didn't appreciate you implying that people (I am a person) only care because of Miranda's looks. It just isn't true.
And if I'm "the norm", it also confirms you are incorrect about people not caring.
Kotaku actually had an interesting topic on this
kotaku.com/5868595/nerds-and-male-privilege
I hope next time they also include female gamers from other countries, 'cause there must be others far from the big tourneys
@16 wait... chocoblanka is hot to you?!?! how low are your standards?!?! no wonder gamers have reputations as forever alone losers. so sad....
