Uncharted's Nathan Drake was considered for Street Fighter X Tekken

Capcom was intent on providing some exclusive content for the Sony versions of Street Fighter X Tekken, and Seth Killian mentioned that Uncharted's Nathan Drake was in the running to JushPushStart.

The development team ended up settling on Cole from Infamous because of his abilities, but Killian offered some insight as to why.

“We were committed to try and provide some extra content to Sony and we were excited about looking at the different roster and seeing who was out there, and you know you’ve got all sort of cool characters like Nathan Drake, but you know Nathan Drake has kind of a nice Han Solo kind of everyman and he’s a comical guy but the Japanese team got really excited about Cole and the flexibility of his powers, projectiles, grabs, and all sorts of cool stuff.”

I would have rather had Nathan Drake than the stupid cats. Cole and Drake would have been nice and more appealing to those outside of Japan.

Agree with number 3. The catz are just mini clones of Ryu and Kazuya I believe. 2 slots that could have gone to well all the leaked characters that we are going to pay extra for anyway. but that's another argument altogether.

Cole's a WAY better choice if it's between him and Nate. HOWEVER, Nathan Drake's would've been a better choice than those stupid cats.

Would have been an awesome addition. As a matter of fact his story would have made the most sense out of every single character in this game. I mean he's a god damned treasure hunter, so hunting for Pandora actually MAKES SENSE.

Sony paid for the development because they wanted exclusives, where Microsoft didn't want to pay for development of exclusives. How is that wasting anything?

Sony already took over with far too many silly characters in SF X T. I hope this doesn't happen again to this big extend or at least i would have preferred Nathan Drake and Cole only, with each wearing something to symbolize a SF and a Tekken character :P So Nathan Ryu and Cole Kazuya?

Well, if Nathan Drake had been in the game, he would've got the Street Fighter-Steroid Injection treatment that Cole got and he would look almost identical to Chris Redfield :)

Hopefully the Sony Crossover fighting game is still real and will see the light of day soon!

ingrid would have been a good exclusive, even though she's in alpha 3 she's really from capcom fighting jam so would cool for her to just come in non cannon games like this .

I would have prefered Nathan over Cole who would have been more appropriate in UMvC3 with all the other superheroes.

But none of them are raw fighters like Ryu who follows the theme of Martial Arts and Craft where SF was built on. Then again, neither does Bison or Rose....

I love Nathan and the Uncharted series, but he would be even less of a fit. Having him instead of the cats would be preferable though.

Damn would have been pretty cool if they added both Drake AND Cole as a team.

Cole finding out about Pandora goes out to venture to see if it's linked to (insert backstory here). But on his way he finds a treasure hunter by the name of Nathan Drake who is also interested in the box. They both venture out to find out what kind of power the mystery box possesses.

Pretty cheesy but it could have worked.

I will "hold dat" and love it lol. Does not matter about complaining about the cats. They are in the game.. The game is out and even if they were not... Those 12 characters will stay snug in their disc locked prison until further notice. Since Sony paid money to include them... There is no such thing as a wasted slot... If anything they just provided more slots... Slots that were reserved by Toro and Kuro and no Bryan Fury, or Cody and Cody were ever going to get them. Also Nathan might work in the game and might not but due to the fact that neither the cats nor Cole have storylines if I remember correctly.. There may have been a decent chance that if Nathan was added... He would not have a plot either.
