Voting for Tekken X Street Fighter's roster begins

Voting for Tekken X Street Fighter's roster has opened up on the official Tekken Facebook page. The Tekken page has 55 characters and the Street Fighter side has 66 people you can choose from.

You can vote for up to 5 characters on each side to appear in the upcoming title, created by Namco. There is a somewhat discouraging note attached to the page though, as they say this poll doesn't guarantee or determine which characters will be implemented into the game.

There are some interesting choices on the Street Fighter side of things, as Capt. Sawada, of Street Fighter The Movie fame, is an option. After you vote, you can look at the current results.

Tips submitted by Flying Wonkey, Armcameron, Zelgadiszero, 47drift, SakuraFan and some anonymous readers.

Why are Karin and R. Mika ahead of Alex? People are so lame and desperate to see girls on a game. It's a sad world. Alex is actually tight and people actually want to play him... but instead they would rather just have a character to see her, and then main someone else. Stupid. smh like a black man.

I primarily voted for some oddball characters as I’m pretty sure characters like Jin, Ryu, Chun-Li and Yoshimitsu will be in regardless of the poll result. Q, Twelve, Elena, Kunimitsu and Unknown were some of my choices. Was surprise to see that some of them are still popular, too.

Will never understand what’s so great about Karin though, especially since she leads the SF-side. I mean, she’s just another school girl, I for one had enough of characters like that in fighting games.

Concerning the note Namco wrote saying that the final results will not necessarily reflect who will be in the game: that is NOT discouraging at all. Why? For example when i went to pick my 5 favorite SF characters i left out the likes of Ryu, Ken, and Chun Li because i know they WILL be in the game regardless of vote. So i opted to vote for fighters which i would like to see in the game and are not guaranteed. So i would bet many other people voted with this in mind as well. If so, in the end characters which are the most popular in the franchises might not even score high points, yet it would be ridiculous to think of T X SF without Ryu, Kazuma etc

Please, enough of Guile. Give Charlie or Remy the chance to be featured instead and this comes from a Guile player in SF4.

Give more opportunity for the cast from SF1, Alpha & 3rd Strike even though I am personally loved SF4 the most.

Very happy with the Top 4 for SF at the moment. Even Urien currently stands at 10th place which should be good enough.

That said, Charge characters could potentially work like Hilde in SC, where you have to hold down specific buttons in order to unleash her best attacks.

Looking forward to this game. No need for me to vote tho since most of my faves are sure to be in lol. I'm really hoping this game is 1vs1 tho not that tag is bad I just prefer fighting solo. It would be nice to see Juli from sfa3 make a comeback also,I'm sure she isn't the most popular character but I used to kick @ss with her lol I def wouldn't mind seeing some of the older/rarely seen characters get some love this time around.

Been noticing noticeable increase in % for Akuma (to the point he's now 4th ahead of Q), as well as Ryu & E Ryu.
