So the models are done, but is the gameplay there? They seem, for the most part, actually incomplete.

for the love of GOD you stop Crying >__>
*puts Pacifier in mouth*
Ultradavid, who is a real lawyer, has explained this before. While you do own the disc you bought, you do not own the data on it. What you really bought is the right to privately use what is on the disc except for DLC content. This is similar to buying a movie disc.
The car analogy first came up by someone who believed that you should be able to tinker with what you bought. For that to happen, you will need to given the source code and the right to modify it. That cost a lot more than $60.
@8 What's your point? Do you realize these wouldn't exist if they weren't planned to be DLC? Because believe it or not companies plan their DLC out during the game's development...to sell later. Shocking! Scandalous! It makes no difference where the data is stored. These were created to be sold. You're fighting the wrong battle by quibbling over the location of the data. Whether on the disc or on their serves, it's irrelevant. If you want to complain, it should be based on whether or not the base package has enough content to justify the cost without this "extra" content. That is the issue.
Yeah, it's not like they would work on the models and such for characters they know they're going to put in in advance. Or that Ono has stated they're still working on their movesets and figuring them all out. No, they'll just wait to work on new characters entirely and do them from the ground up. There aren't different teams who work on the fighting mechanics and the graphics. Nope.
I think what physically pains me are the people who complain without even keeping up with what they're complaining about. I cringe every time I see someone make a comment about how they're "Vita exclusive".
The whole "WAAAH THE DLC IS ALREADY ON DISC WE'RE GETTING RIPPED OFF" complaint is so dumb it hurts.
... you guys do know that this doesn't prove they are complete and on the disk. All this shows is that the models are done, and thats all. Untill I see actual gameplay with the characters, all this proves is that the characters are NOT finished, and they are still working on them gameplay wise, voice wise, and coloring wise.
Lol Tiger Dudley. Costumes representing some characters that didn't make the cut.
@19
Very well put. However, don't expect many kids on here to understand it or accept it. They believe what they wish and then promptly put their fingers in their ears.
Lol at people that going to scream "DISK LOCKED CONTENT BLAH BLAH" These are just models, nothing else. Worst they are not even completed models.
My question is, when is someone going to get a Zubaz costume?
@23 funny little guy.. they are complete on the disc but locked and that its why you need the 100kb unlock key to access the data... You are not going to get any gameplay videos until some hacker unlock it... Guys like you said the same about Jill and Shuma and even after gameplay videos people still saying that Jill was bad because she was incomplete. She was not incomplete...
ibuki and lil 2nd alts are GodLike!Oh ono why you have to be associated with such a greedy company.btw would people just keep their mouth shut about these character being not complete intill everything has being found on the disc, cause from what the hackers are saying their probably complete. This stuff isn't like opening up ya'll happy meal box.
A lot of wishful thinkers here. How does it feel to pay full price for a disc that you own only 25% of?
@36 As I said, until I see someone hack the game, which these guys have done, to see full, completed models, then I will say they are 100% on disk. You can easily tell just by looking at the game to see if everything is there or not. If they were, they would not be seeing just these models, they would be more complete and detailed. Look at MvC3. They could see the models for Shuma and Jill without digging too deeply. And in UMvC3, you can see the costumes before they were unlocked.
A good example of what this is was in BlazBlue 2. People found data spots for Makoto, Val, and Plat, including music, some colors, and their emblems, but that was it. It's the same situation here, just that this has incomplete models, as well as incomplete prologue and epilogue movies.
they are totally complete... fully rigged, animation files, voice files, etc... I wasn't able to get the textures to display properly with the software I was using... they just appear as normal maps like on Abel.... expect these characters to be fully playable on hacked consoles in the near future, should be possible by just hex editing
@zferolie
The reason why videos don't have voice is if you directly rip the WMV file form the disc it doesn't have a voice tracking running on it.... that way they didn't have to make duplicate videos depending on if you selected english or japanese voices
Pac-man and Megaman have no alt costumes but their models are on disc... the rest of the images should be up soon.
#53, I know that. I'm asking how it feels to know that you're paying full price for only 25% of the disc.
I'd feel salty...just saaaaaayin. But thank god im not getting the game so no salt for me.
You guys complaining have to realize that they put the models on the disc that way if you face someone online with that costume or that DLC character, you'll be able to play with them anyway. Unlike in SF4 where the costumes aren't on the disc and the other player can't see your alternate costume.
If they didn't, they would have to patch online so that you COULD view other people costumes. And patching a game costs about $4000 dollars.
@59
Well, I'm reserved on the issue. If I were buying a game that was bare bones, but had a ton of stuff already on the disc ready and locked, I would be mad. However, I think SFxT, as it stands revealed now at launch, is chalk full of content and equals the $60.00 I am spending ($70 actually since I am getting the special edition).
I always base the initial value of a purchase on day 1 content. Not enough day 1 content and I'll pass.
So now that we know that the "on-disc" content is incomplete (which anyone with half a brain could've deduced), what irrational conspiracy theories are we going to complain about now?
Or are we still going to keep complaining about this unfinished on-disc content?
Yes more DLC keep releasing it so i can keep buying it i could care less if its on disc. Best part is people like me are DLC thats already on disc which i hope pisses some of you off. Oh wait gaming isnt a need its a want so you dont need the DLC just like you dont need the game.
So yea i want the DLC and the game which is why i choose to pay for it.
@Ninja
You have to realize that when we buy something and we don't get full access to it we should get angry.
Be pro-consumer, not pro-corporation.

They are totally complete. Like, totally.
@NWAndroid
I want access to the finished characters that are on the disk. Is that too much to ask for?
#70
As evident by...what? Being able to play them through hex editing is fine in theory, but needs to actually be shown. Also that's a poor argument for being angry considering Shiro had to hack the disc himself, and gaining the ability to (theoretically) play the characters still takes actual work. I'd like to see the characters in matches before I start throwing a fit based on nothing at all.
Also, see #19.
I just sent in an image of Alysa's folder to emphasize these are very complete characters... you will be seeing them playable within a week.
@NWAndroid
That's what I'm waiting to see. I hope they're not. If they are though, then it's a problem.
Man...you guys are idiots.
If you DO NOT buy DLC. YOU STILL have to download them.
So being on disc is not a valid reason to complain about buying DLC on disc.
Would you rather waste HD space on characters you didnt buy but have to download them ANYWAY to play against them?
Well, they're on this disc. Either cry like b!tches about (because of course we are entitled) or shut the fvck up and buy the damn game. Bunch of crybabies. This is what gaming is now, period? You really wanna break some ground just stop playing games altogether. Mass Effect 3 has day 1 DLC coming too, there's not nearly as much uproar there. DLC is what the gaming industry is about now. Accept it or stop gaming.
@78 and @79 i'm pretty sure that pic 60 is Lars.

Waiting to see is good. I may still disagree with you on how to feel about this, but its nice to see someone who might actually wait for the proof before flipping out and claiming Capcom are an evil batch of Satan spawn.
#82
I agree to an extent. If people are unhappy they shouldn't buy it. I disagree that they should "accept it or stop gaming". If gamers stopped buying games for a specific reason, then they're still accepting that reason, and that's not good. It's not about quitting gaming its about sending a message. They're going about it the right way. Step 2 is to complain to Capcom, which no one seems to want to do but its extremely easy considering Ono has Twitter.
I may not agree with a lot of these people, and I probably have the same view of the content "issue" itself, but it would be stupid for these people to just quit.
honestly at this point who cares we all knew after realizing that dlc was on disk material that it was cheap and could have been just in the game but this is what they deem worthy of there aftermarket stuff which in these instances not soo much soo much of a good show and faith to customers to me it just says they dont and wont make the time to really think of things that would be fun and innovative after the realese
I don't care bout any of the haters this game is gonna be awesome Ricky Ortiz said this game reminded him of when he used to play CVS2.
even if the DLC characters and costumes were all completed and on disc it wouldnt be a big deal. I'm sure its true that devs do hold back content that probably wouldve been in the game if DLC didnt exist, but you need to understand the concept of paying for intellectual property; you dont own everything on the disc, its just a worthless piece of plastic without the data which is what you pay for.
merci Shiroi Kaze & merci Capcom
The set of 'images # 3' is the best since sf iv series.
No jokes, no humor just plain edgy and falls into the Tekken vibe too i.e. cool.
#94, yes blah blah blah.
But how does it feel to know that you're paying $60+ for 25% of the disc :)
$15 for Super which will add the remaining characters.
$X for 6 sets of gems (3 gems per set)
$X for Costumes
Then Capcom will release the same disc with a different cover and call it the "GOTY" Edition which includes all of the DLC's.
Kudos to Capcom for this milking strategy.
I think if DLC didn't exist you wouldn't get god the crap you get with games now and they would just give you the game without costumes characters ect. To cut cost and people would buy it games cost more to make too so if there wasn't DLC they would just put less in anyway

Elena/Dudley ending movie. The VA isn't there because he only pulled the video data. The voice work is separate because of the way it's called up.
People, ignore AnabolicTroll.
When someone supposedly has no plans on getting a game, yet posts on every article about said game, they're trolling. Plain and simple.
