i see you still a hater like always.
and for the records umehara had always problem beating 2 guys :kindevu and MDR which is ironically 2 falcon players(Kindevu=yun and rufus) (MDR also a falcon player)
and no Poongko was always free against top tier zangiefs cause if you might forget those setups doesnt work well against zangief.

you don't what are you taking about. Daigo beat Kindevu and MDR many times.(win more than lose) and Poongko had no problem beating Itabashi Zangief. One game doesn't mean much.

@spotlesseden
actually i do .
and its you who's judging by 1 match.
for the record i am a big fan of daigo's conservative playstyle.
so let we break this down shall we.
MDR and kindevu were always daigos beast when it comes to big tourneys.i think you are new to their record if you count godsgarden results.
actually you should check out lord aborigine youtube account ,you will see daigo bodying kindevu and mdr daily in their fat falcon era(rufus) but got unlucky everytime because of 2 guys :MDR and kindevu (nationals and evo)its also because of weird yet talented guys he chooses: shu ashio zesshu TKD and yuu(genius Elfuerte and balzy gouki)but against a top sagat (RF)in means zero (sf4 vanilla)
the yun era is different cause all of them were using yun and actually among yuns umehara is just not their level(exception to mdr who handle seth and zangief better)
for kindevu unfortunately he got the ryan hart syndrom(changes main every full moon) and you can see it in his unorthodox genei setups and sometimes uneffective cammy corner pressure but remains overall with kazunoko the 7 grand masters characters in AE.
the relation poongko / zangief is a long one and started in vanilla era were a notorious zangief in tuxedo gaves him the thrill of all the tournament hes in.
im not arguing whose better grapler between seth and zangiefs.the fact that poongko is an infighter doesnt help him alot agianst 3 guys he played when he was in japan :
cantona, itabashi and the magicalgirl(mahoshoujo) proves your are wrong.
you don't what are you taking about?
lol actually i do and i prefer stats percentages and numbers than 2 matches record.

and since im talking out of my ass i give you this little present:
its a little software to track japanese players in arcade:
winning, losing, ranking ,when and where they played, ratio bp you name it..
i thinks its better than a hypothetical tier list right Catalyst?

"and its you who's judging by 1 match."
what?
Daigo beat kindevu at evo last year. Daigo ocv Kindevu's eLive team today. Daigo's Akuma baet Kindevu's viper at NSB X MadCatz. Daigo beat MDR at Topanga Cup.

the last time that remember kindevu beat daigo in a tournament was SF4. lol

spotlesseden said on March 3, 2012 at 2:08 a.m.

"actually among yuns umehara is just not their level"

if you told me to look at stats. you should look at daigo's yun winning rate. lol stop making up stuffs. and stuffs worry about one game lost in SF4. Look at recent records. MDR is better than Daigo today, I will give you that. Please, don't even say anything about kindevu beats Dagio. It makes me laugh.

foolly said on March 3, 2012 at 2:19 a.m.

2 western teams in the top 2. they are definately above the kanto players right now. team MCZ over exposed themselves and the western teams have that unpredictable factor to them. i always felt MDR's rufus was better than justin wongs but in AE when he dropped rufus i left it alone to people saying wong has the best rufus in the world. now MDR is back with rufus, im not so sure. MDR's success in japan has been huge with rufus.

As for the daigo comment. daigo with ryu, has not only always had problems with kindevu and mdr, but with dashio and uryo(viper players). they have been his biggest problems in japanese tourneys. in saying that though, most(excluding uryo) have been 1 off games where the results is really random. over a long set im sure he can go even with mdr kindevu etc..

daigo did not beat MDR @ Topanga cup. lets keep this honest

#38
Default avatar
urien said on March 3, 2012 at 2:21 a.m.

well if you read correctly i didnt say anything about kindevu AE era since hes choking since.but MDR on the other hand is a nightmare for his ryu and honestly about his akuma :2,866 wins 2,146 looses 74.88% 100k bp i dont think thats the best the beast can do.
recently hes having a problem against the schoolgirls and the troll want him just to break his stick on the head of uryo.that guy is major annoyance.

foolly said on March 3, 2012 at 2:28 a.m.

also to be fair urien. i believe he beat uryo's sakura 3-1 at topanga league. uryo's viper is a different story though

#41
Default avatar
spotlesseden said on March 3, 2012 at 2:29 a.m.

then why you said anything about "(nationals and evo)"?
or "for the records umehara had always problem beating 2 guys :kindevu and MDR"

you don't make sense, because Daigo lost one game in SF4, then daigo always have problem beating them? I don't even know what's your point again. Rufus is not a problem for Daigo. MDR's Rufus is not a problem. Lost one doesn't mean anything. Even J wong beat daigo in One game team tournament in US.

Stop bring up SF4. it's an old game, nobody cares. Lose one game in a tournament at SF4 doesn't mean he always have problem against those player. I already point out Daigo's record against kindevu.
If you don't want count Daigo beating kindevu today because this game is AE. I can even give you Daigo vs kindevu SSF4 tournament match if you want. lol

and Poongko doesn't lose to Gief that much. Today is just special.

I remember having a conversation with a certain hater about Yang. I guess I was right about Yang that 1 day he will make it into top 8 or top 4, even if its in 3v3 setting. Good stuff.

@#45

Daigo beat Kyabetsu, RF, and Kindevu. He lost to MDR. Mago lost to MDR. Tokido beat MDR, but lost to EX Mamehara. Daigo did the best on his team going 3-1.

Yesterday, when they were eliminated by RF, Kindevu, Haitani, Dogura, and Kyabetsu, Daigo was the only one who won a match against that team. What's funny is that, both teams that beat him, won the whole tournament (5v5 and 3v3).

Daigo is far from done. It's just really hard to win these jp tournaments when it's so stacked and it's 1 and done.

Remember, Kazunoko, Kindevu, RF, Kyabetsu, Nemo, Tokido, Mago, Bonchan, Poongko, Shiro, Dogura, etc... all lost as well. Not sure why you'd single Daigo out.

Anyways, good stuff from MDR. Got 2nd last time, and won this time.

I think more than Daigo, Tokido or Mago suddenly being bad, these sort of results are a testament to Japan's skill level in general. Since everyone is so good, no one player can really dominate their entire scene.

its true daigo is the best player in the world but the other are also godlike.
japanese is not usa scene were two players rules it for ever.
also the over exposed madcatz team make them very predictable ,basically people studied daigo on the internet.

How the hell is MichaelTan an online warrior when is one of the highest ranked in ARCADE?

Although it's a team tournament, would have thought a team of honda, abel and blanka would get 3rd? Or that a team of ken, yang and blanka would get 2nd?

MDR was the best Rufus with Kindevu. I can remember which tournament it was but he was wrecking everyone there too. Good on him to finally win a National tournament.
