Having more entrants doesn't necessarily mean "Main Game". SFIV is an easier game to play. More people are comfortable with the game mechanics. So don't misconstrue that as the requirement of a main game.
@18: thats true. marvel can be the easiest game to play if u just play it for fun. u just go for magic series and aerial exchanges but on a higher level this game is unbelievable hard to play. but since sfIV players never try the game to that level theyll never know...
I thought i'd never say this but sh1t spooky's stream is complete garbage right now. I hope he fixes the feed for tomorrow and sunday. This is Final Round!!!
A combination of how much hype it gets, how many views (both peak and average), how many pros are in the tournament, how many pros are sponsored, how many pros have been advertised to show (once again to build hype), how loud the crowd gets, etc.
@7 well i agree with you ,3s in us is like mvc3 in asia: nobody cares! i dont know jack shlt about mvc3 but i think justin wong should focus on sf cause everytime i see this weird name (UVG|Noel Brown) justin wong is bodied. go back to fundamentals(3s and AE). Guess mvc3 cashprize are good...
@17, if thats what you have to tell yourself to not feel bad about playing your spammy comic game.
I think a lot of people, myself included. Prefer ssf4 because we like to have some control and strategy in our games, not watch someone pull off a combo wiping out 2-3 of our characters whilst there is nothing you can do about it. Gee thats fun.
To sum up, some people find interactive games fun, if i wanna sit n watch flashy lights for 2 minutes i could watch a bad film.
@24 yeah because there is no strategy to mix-up situations that allow those combos to happen right? people like yourself enjoy ssf4 so much because it's a street fighter game on training wheels(special move shortcuts? really!?!) slowed down to a crawl so scrubs like you can be able to actually react to things and feel good about themselves. there is a reason why street fighter 4 started the fighting game resurgence. it's one of the few fighting games easy enough that bad kids can play without quitting.
Damn Noel was on Point. Between Him and Chris G, PR Didnt even have to play! I wonder who took out team E.G though? Wish that would of been on stream. Hope to catch that Japanese cat with the R. Racoon tomorrow during singles. He ran into a pretty solid plater (Ranmasama, whats with him and taking out the japanese-see tokido lol) Really looking forward to the rest of the weekend if though Ill prob have to catch in through archives ( Going to the field :(
HolyGhost. Thats because there were none. Time ran over and thus they had to finish it of the Final Round stream in a sh!tty hotel room with crap internet. Twitch.tv/nycfurby is your best bet for any thing resembeling an archive of the matches but who knows if they even recorded them. :/
Why the hell is a main game on the stream while side games are on the main stream? why would you stream soul calibur/Tekken on Main stream while Marvel was on side? it makes no sense.
Shut the hell up! That announcer is annoying on the Marvel stream.
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Firebr.... OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Capt.... OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! The match is about to begin.
Honestly, i was really looking forward to the Cross Assult finals but...that was just disappointing. I understand pressure and everything, was actually going for Renic to take it but the first 2 games kinda just reminded me of how Superyan was sandbagging on day 7. None the less tho, great games man, gave me something to really look forward to for the last few weeks.
Can someone explain how was Valle able to play for the later matches for AE Teams (F that) when Art was playing as his replacement in the early pool matches?
Just curious since I missed out on the streaming quite a bit.
#51: I don't get it. Did the trap move on its own?
he trap did not move if you watch it again. you will notice, he stay to the left of the trap and push blocked F-Champ onto the trap but he was just a little off from hitting it. and he went into the air// but when he went into the air Kurosu walked up to the trap knowing that F-Champ would teleport at some point to try and attack him again staying to the left of the trap/ when F-Champ finally did teleport he was right on top of the trap what makes this look at the trap moved is the background, but the trap does not move Kurosu did. if you watch it again im sure you will notice all these little things Kurosu did to set F-Champ up to land on the trap

Arturo didn't play any matches so valle took his place on the team
yea Justin wong is eliminated from marvel. Basically he lost to himself, First set he lost, he was playing a random team using a runaway magneto, the second set his iron fist lost to a zoning team of arthur.
Clearly you're not that intelligent. Let me educated you mr. overly aggresive paranoid eventhubber. Theres a saying which goes
"thats like the pot calling the kettle black"
Now look what my comment (#90) and related it to that. You're tool, and I'm silly for even replying to you cause you're one of these that likes to give it beans to everyone cause he's behind a keyboard hahaha.
So funny you dropping the race card and not actually knowing what I meant. Life aint that bad mate, cheer up :D :) :D :)
So cause you failed to understand what I meant, you drop the race card. And now that you understand, you tell me to speak 'English'. So funny yet somewhat embarrassing hahaha
KoFXIII tournament was so hype! Great matches all day and solid play from everyone. The upsets + comebacks + great commentary by Juicebox and Answer made this one of the best KofXIII tournaments to date in the U.S.
@102 it's still america's game. those are the best marvel players in japan. no one expected them to fly all the way over here and be garbage. 1 player from japan made top 8. that's like me saying marvel is houston's game because Mihe made top 8 in winners. no one likes a weaboo.
He made a typo, but he has a point. Saying that Marvel isn't America's game because 1 Japanese player using a team that no one's seen before made top 8 is pretty ridiculous.
By that standard, one could've called SSFIV: AE America's game because 3 American players made top 8 at Evo. Yeah, that's ridiculous, but it's essentially what people here are saying.
"By that standard, one could've called SSFIV: AE America's game because 3 American players made top 8 at Evo. Yeah, that's ridiculous, but it's essentially what people here are saying. "
no, they are different. Evo is an American tournament. if you have American players do well in Japan tournaments that's another story.
who said Japanese is better than American in mvc3? Japanese only have 5-6 people who can play well against top American players. Like Nemo, Cho, Tokido, Condor. Frieda is not top Japanese player because he hasn't play the game that much because of work. That's what fubarduck said. fubarduck warmed us to study Rocket Raccoon before this tournament.
